Chris Farley's sketches in drag always allowed his talents to really surface. He was so much more than just a screaming maniac.
So sad he didnt get the parts in cable guy and kingpin and couldnt make the arbuckle biotop to Show his real acting range
@@90AlexF he turned cable guy down
So true.
He was a talented man!!
Can someone make a GIF starting from 4 38
@@louistournas120 Great idea ! I'd love to have it too !
"I use it, but I hate it". This will never leave my head.
To those born in the 2000’s- This is EXACTLY like infomercials were in the 90’s. Which makes it so nostalgic, spot on, and hilarious to see.
Correct! They'd repeat and repeat...and were so excited! This skit nailed it.
I remember the real infomercial of this!
It's funny because of "Laurie davis" and it's cuz she's fat selling a beauty product
I remember watching when this originally aired in 1993. And I'm still...excited!!! 😊
😅
I so excited! and it’s because there’s no alcohol in it!
That feeling are you happy, pleased, elated, rambunctious, manic,.... excited? Is that what your feeling?
Yes, I saw this when it originally aired. Then I saw the real infomercial about a week later. I thought I pass out laughing (at the real ad). 😂
It was so exciting to see that this sketch is still on UA-cam, and it still excites me.
Christina Applegate is so underrated. Such a talented actress!!!
She Rocks!
Here we go again with that pesky underrated stuff
She deserves a shoutout
Married with children my favorite her as Kelly Bundy and the sweetest thing with her and Selma Blair ans Cameron diaz and don’t tell mom the baby sitters dead she is a good actress!
Nah. Her first hit moviewise is Anchorman and comedy is not her forte
The crowd goes nuts when "Lori" is introduced. What a treasure Farley was! He's even adorable as a woman 😂.
Too bad he liked the cocaine :< he was a funny fuck, and still is.
Let’s give a quick shout out to Christina Applegate
She's awesome.
I was wondering who that was. She is probably in the top 10 of worldwide most beautiful women. I watch Married with Children and the other day, I watched Anchorman. She broke my meter.
For real, shes amazing in this sketch...
APPLAUSE! JILLIAN BARBAREE!
I'd just finished watching her on an episode of Dead to Me on Netflix, came here afterward and randomly chose this video because of chris farley in the thumbnail + nostalgia, and here she is again! I'm surprised none of the performers in the clip are credited in the video description. They all deserve to be acknowledged.
Chris' hair doesn't even look like a wig. They did a really good job with that.
His hair looks great!!
It’s a lace front that’s how they get the illusion that it’s coming from his own head
@@grammardynamite9764 😄
Thought the same about the hair. ⭐👍
The funny thing about Lori actual infomercial with Cher is her hair doesn't move . It is stiff with hair products. Really odd actually
nobody is talking about how good christina’s cher impression is...
I don't remember Cher sticking her tongue out, licking her upper lip. Did she do that a lot? This skit is full of it.
@@urbanviii5103 Thats the only part of the impression that was kind of accurate lol. Not a great impersonation, but ya that was a signature of Cher's. Think you'd be hard pressed to find someone doing an impersonation that doesn't throw that in there at least once or twice.
It sucks eggs.
i've seen men in drag do better
There is a Drag bar in Virginia that should be called the officer's club because most everyone who goes there are Navy Officers . i say that going by the stickers i saw on the cars in the parking lot
@The mysterious Miss X let’s give a quick shout out to Christina applegate!
Dear Lori, I've been quoting this skit with my family for 20 years, and I'm STILL laughing.
I will be saying "I use it but I hate it" from here on out 😅
How exciting!
But are you EXCITED?
@@k.jackson6837 lol - there's others! friends and I say "i use it but i hate it" all the time.
“It’s bad for the ENVIRONNNMENT” Phil Hartman kills me in this sketch
Phil Hartman was an amazing talent
En. en .en viyoyer ment.
I miss him a lot. Especially as Bill Clinton or Sinatra.
Phil is a gem.
Until his psycho wife stabbed him
@@nikkingman she didn't stab him, she shot him in the head several times.
This is gold. Influencers are like this today.
A thousand times better.
Chris played a woman wonderfully. He could be delicate as well as manic. I wish he could have found someone special, kick his horrible habits, and start a family. I think his desire for acceptance was rooted in his wanting to be loved- one of the most important facete of being a human being. I'll always love you, Chris.
The ironic thing is, I don't think he understood just how loved he already was
i thought he was pretty as a woman.
@@thevoid99 His smile is irresistible. He was just a beautiful human being. I wish I could have just hugged him and told him how loved he was.
This comment was deep. Well said
the problems arise w these big comic personalities when in life they feel like everyone wants that, like they have to be "on" all the time.I can't imagine how exhausting that would be
All these years later I still scream at Phil struggling to say "environment". 😂
and the closed eyes, focused on getting the word out
en vi ron ment!!! LOVE IT!!!
Chris’s lace front though… I love that they play it like an actual infomercial repeating the same things over and over lol
Rest in powerful peace Chris Farley 🙏

Christina Applegate deserved an Emmy just for her Cher performance. So sad about her MS and retirement. Wish her the best. This was always one of my favorite skits as a kid. And first taste of ASMR.
What is ASMR?
Chris Farley wore it on his sleeve and gave it 110% everyday!!!! Chris was/is so special!!! You can't even describe him! He found a way to stand out in everything he involved himself in!!! Whether Chris got 5 hours or 5 minutes he made a heck of a difference in the given piece!!!! Thank you, Chris, for the gift that is YOU!!! You are tremendously missed by everyone you touched (and he touched many, many people!!!) !!!! You live on!!!! May God Bless your soul, buddy - every single day!!!
One of the best skits ever. All of them killed it
So true!!!
Melanie Hutsell was so funny; so underrated on the show. Her Jan Brady was awesome
YES!!!
“Brotherhood, brotherhood, brotherhood!” - Melanie H’s Jan Brady
Also her Tori Spelling are impression was hilarious!

Chris Farley was such a talented and funny man.
So profound. Who could argue?
A legend
one of a kind
Rest in powerful peace Phil Hartmann 🙏

This is the most '90s thing ever: the furniture, the fashion, the generic music, and the whole infomercial format. I was a latchkey only child with insomnia in the '90s, so I watched a loooot of infomercials, both late night and daytime. I'm getting flashbacks from this.
Yes!
Yes!!! The furniture pattern is spot on!
Thank you for keeping this up! The original "Brad in the Lab" is my dad! Chris Farley, Christina Applegate, and Phil Hartman did such a wonderful job parodying the terrible infomercial and I share the original and SNL version all the time.
wow!
Is he really??
@@teamster9413 Yes, he really is! This skit is based off an infomercial from the early 90’s that ran allllllllll the time. He is a scientist, not an actor, and was only given 1 take, so he’s part was terrible and he did come off “kind of creepy” lol
@@shortlilrope I saw the original online, but he wasn't creepy... just uncomfortable with the camera. Phil Hartman makes it so hilarious though!
I'm so EXCITED to see this hilarious sketch again after all these years.
This is how they act at Mary Kay. Really.
And DoTerra.

Phil Hartman was such a great talent!
It was basically JUST a straightforward infomercial. Very little wacky. And it was surprisingly funny. I'm impressed.
Farley in drag is everything
Agreed 100%
What about Matt Foley? Also, he was super masculine as El Nino and General Schwartzkoph. "I want Holyfield!"
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, but is he El Nino?
He looks and acts more like a woman than Richard Levine😅😢
Applegate would've made a wonderful cast member. Highly underrated comedic actor.
When they tested it by spraying it in his mouth rather than over the flame lol
😂😂
The cheesy grin when Phil says "Sorry to get you all 'excited'" XD
@@MatthewCarterWA Perfection.
NO ALCOHOL!
*Cher passes out*
*"Oh girls, look at the VOLUME in this hair!"*
That's the only thing I didn't get. Chris introduces himself again, "You're Cher..." It seems disjointed from the rest of the sketch. (Trying to get excited...)
They NAILED this infomercial!
This was based on a real infomercial, with Chris' character looked like the real woman.
yep. It's on the Lavelle Luthy UA-cam channel, and the video name is Cher 1993 Lori Davis Hair Commercial.
Sadly, I remember that infomercial!
It’s freakishly similar to the actual infomercial. I had to look it up between these and the scene in Clueless where Cher talks about Cher’s infomercial.
@@thenightporter LMAOOOOO... I wonder what happened to the hairspray if it was soooo wonderful!

Watching these vintage SNL Chris Farley sketches during lockdown are golden! Miss ya Chris Farley!
But do you get…excited?
Phil and Chris never be another of those 2 amazing talents!
I'm sure Cher wishes we'd all forget about this.
Cher just incredible at/with comedy - that's why the Farrelly Bros went
after Cher. "Moonstruck" an awesome film w/Nicholas Cage - flawless.
She was the first with infomercial.

Especially one that contains--lemme get this straight--is it 1% alcohol?
This an ode to all those who of us who grew in the 90s that hat to sift through all these late night informercials before finding some good televison. Today's kids have Hulu and NetFlix. :-)
Au contraire, infomercials were good television. Ten Ways Spritz!
Julia Sweeny is so smokin hot here! Can't believe she plays Pat so well lol

Chris: "I spray my hair 30 or 40 times a day..."
Also Chris: (Look of Surprise)"You're Cher!? Hello! I'm Lori Davis".
The dialogue is probably not to far off from the actual comercial.
I've posted the link for the original infomercial above
it's the breathless "that's what they are!" Chris does that gets me.
If you've ever seen the actual stupid infomercial, this has to be the best possible parody of it.

@@igotasemi6104 ___Might be on UA-cam or Google.
It’s incredibly difficult to come into your first time hosting, nail someone as iconic as Cher, and lead a sketch this long.
Props also to Farley for trying to sell his character as an actual woman. The comedy is less Farley in a dress, more from the idiotic nonsense she’s selling.
I remember these commercials!
The funny thing is that Chris Farley looks spot-on like Lori Davis 🤣
Yes!!!! Must be the no alcohol in that hairspray.
Christina's impression of Cher was hilarious
No, it was really bad. The only good impressions are made by drag queens! Even Cher agrees on that.
Chris Farley was the BEST! Soooo funny!
I remember when Chris played Mindy Cohn of 'The Facts of Life' in one of the skits where they were former child stars that had turned to crime and were holed up at their safe house. I wish I could find that one on UA-cam. He was hilarious doing Mindy.
I believe it's on Reddit. :)

You should probably get some hobbies, Ryan.
@@lomarsweed6604 Actually, this might shock you, but saying these things takes up extremely little time. I have plenty of time for my other hobbies. Airport Shmairport!
Chris Farley what a babe!!!! Loved when he played lunch lady with the big bazzooms!!! Too many fabulous skits to name. What a loss. Rest his soul.
@@thenightporter Bet she could've nursed an entire classroom of boys!! Yowza!!
Phil Hartman is so funny in this! of course Farley is a hoot!
I guess it's because of the "no alchohol" in the hairspray.
"Lori, this is the compete opposite of sticky". I don't know why but I found that highly funny as hell. Christina is so good in just about everything she does. Farley's best roles were as women, not that he played a great woman, he was just funny as hell doing it (guess that's the point though, duh).
Damn he should have played a woman part in a film, would have been hilarious, gone too soon :( as was Phil. Rip
This role is easily one of his best.
I would have LOVED to see him and Fred Armisen compete in a "drag battle." Some of the best women I've ever seen on tv.
My favorite is still the Farley/Sandler old couple Zagat Guide skit. "Give me cancer now, God!!"
if chris farley was female, i swear to you, this could play on qvc and be totally unquestioned
Same show had first Matt Foley sketch. Christina hosted twice I think. This was her first time in the 92-93 season. She later returned when she was promoting her film with Cameron Diaz and Selma Blair.
God Bless Chris Farley. For all the laughter he freely provided through his lifetime.
And after. That really excites me!
They totally nailed this infomercial. Chris was brilliant and played Lori Davis perfectly.
Take a shot whiskey everytime they say sticky, excited, or alcohol. 🥃
Nobody could survive that, you monster!
I drank alcohol free liquor shots. I don't feel sticky at all. I'm so excited!
I would but there is NO alcohol here
I've watched this skit for many years now and I am still excited!
I cannot see how Chris Farley do his scene I will be laughing through the whole thing
There's one point early on when it looks like he's ready to burst from Julia Sweeney or Melanie Hutsell. Guess he just got too---excited!
Her Cher is more Lilly Tomlin LOL
You're right.

I'm watching Married With children as I'm watching this skit! I didn't realize Christina Applegate did SNL. She did a great job doing Cher
Wow! I was trying to figure out who that was!
Christina Applegate is one of the most underrated comedic actresses ever. She was so hilarious on Married With Children and destroyed on SNL... I'm so sorry to hear about her diagnosis. And Farley, my god -- this is the same episode where Matt Foley debuted w/Christina and Spade sitting on the couch, just to show how on fire he was that week. Phil Hartman's line read at 5:29 is just solid gold too. Ah, man. Simpler times!
