I think your tutorials are clearer and more helpful than those from the popular channels, so glad I clicked on one of yours and learned a lot! Thank you!
Love these videos on lip sync. My university course includes animation and I have just came off from doing a walk cycle (not the best in the world) but when they assigned us to do lip sync, I am glad I clicked on your videos. Smooth, soft and straight to the point, I feel more confident in completing the task.
Thank you! This video has been helpful to me because it made me realize things about lip sync that I didn't realize before. Specifically, the fact that your lip sync actually kinda looks more natural if you don't animate absolutely every sound. (Wish I could tell my past self that lol.) Thanks once again 💯
Dang, I wish you'd have shown yourself setting this up rather than just jumping straight to everything being set up. What does the little icon of what looks like a pick axe mean? It's to the left of the "mouth_chart" layer at 1:05 (most created layers have a little piece of paper icon with bent corner, this looks like a pickaxe). I tried importing your photo in that layer in case that's what it meant since you never showed how you got to this part (the setup), but it didn't change the icon. I also tried creating a graphic symbol to see if that would change that little icon and it didn't. I also tried to google the answer but no luck
Thank you for your video! I have a question tough. I'm really lost because I don't know how to keep working with it after creating the first one. I made one Lip synch with an audio File. Then I thought I can just exchange the audio clip for the next audio sequence. But I've run into so many problems like....what do I do with the lip synced keyframes? do I delete them? I don't know how to exchange the audio file in my layer or how to add it from my library. I'm trying to switch the audio file and let the automated lip synch generate new animation but I'm stuck....when I delete the keyframes and let the lip sync run new it doesn't create any new keyframes anymore. It's so frustrating :(
I just can't get my frames to show up in the frame picker. I did all my drawing in illustrator , imported my visamemes into animate, put them all on there on keyframe, converted them to graphics symbol, set them to single frame, and labeled them but they don't appear in my frame picker. Super frustrating.
Hi Abdul! I go through how to do a blink animation in one of my other videos: Adobe Animate Basics II: Frame by Frame Animation. I might do a walk cycle tutorial at some point in the future 🙂
Thanks for a fast reply Devon! So far I defiantly labeled each mouth shape just like in the video at 5:20 but when I click frame picker... only one shows up
@@kingbroc596 Hmm... It should work fine if it is a Graphic Symbol and the mouth shapes are on their own keyframes inside it. Check the bottom left of your Frame Picker too - does it say "All Frames"?
I followed along but when I go to animate the lip sync, the Frame Picker does not show up unless I click the very first frame which is the closed mouth. If I select that mouth I can see all the others in the frame picker but if I select any of the other mouths on the timeline the rest do not show up. Also all of my mouth shapes show up in my main timeline just as they were in the timeline when I was making them in a symbol. So all of them show one after another. Please help
Hi, thank you very much for that. Can you please tell me how much would a professional like yourself charge a customer for one minute of manual lip sync(without animation of the body, only lips). Thank you very much.
In my experience, auto lip sync doesn't do a very good job so I did not cover that. However, I'm considering recording a tutorial on how to set it up 🙂
Hey bro, you have done a good job, teaching us. Its really good perfect way to learn lip sync, i watched all your videos, you're doing a good job. Please be consistent on uploading videos, i like to watch your videos. Please do storytelling animation like, jaiden, domics, somethingelseyt, gingerpale. I will subscribe now, and thank you for teaching me.
Don't worry, learning a new software can be confusing Here's my fulll Adobe Animate playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL40CCm7kKzr4aL4tPfERT9bI9mTtRjMtW.html Start from the first video and keep going - you'll get a good understanding of the software and how to use it for animation

You were the only tutorial I could find that actually explained how to make a master symbol.
This is actually amazing you're so detailed in you're tutorials 👌
Thanks David, details are important!

your videos very helping thankss
can you do a tutorial on blender grease pencil for making animation from basic?
I think this is really helpful for still pics, but is there a way to apply this to moving ones, or is that just a thing you can't do?
you can just move the symbol along with the face and transform it if needed
@@piki.mp4 will test that out, ty
Great video! Really cuts to the essentials.
Well done Devon! Someday you might see the results of your tips in one of my videos.
Looking forward to it!

What if I have drawn each mouth and they are in seperate PNG files. can I just drop them in for each frame?

Hai Devon. I like your turtorial. Can you tell me how to animate walking person with blink eye and speaking mouth using classic tween. Thanks.

goood tutorial!!

My frame picker is all greeted out. Help please
I'll need more information to be of any help, but here are a couple ideas:
Is your layer locked? Perhaps your Symbol is a Movie Clip Symbol?
Thanks for a fast reply Devon!

Also it a graphic type and layer isn’t locked, that’s been checked thanks

How do we export it with audio
Every time you have to click the next frame with your mouse... sound don't appear when usuing the keyboard button.. which is a bit annoying...
Never bothered me before today, but now that you mention it this would be a nice feature

If i don't add an audio clip, the lip-sync button won't appear?
Are you trying to use Auto Lipsync?

Make a tutorial about how to set up character i mean how to draw a characters
