@@neartheplumtree Agreed, not sure if you've actually watched much of Roffle in videos/streams but he's insanely passive aggressive towards his viewers, definitely not a great guy.
Eddy realized that hovering your card in hand shows you how much mana it costs by glowing in the mana bar while rarran dont, thats why he knew which cards were his 10 cost spells
I like how neither of them ever realized they could hover over their cards to see the mana cost lol
that made the vid more chaotic though (=better)
i think eddy did eventually, when he was using the 10 mana spells, but he never mentioned it, meanwhile rarran had no idea
rarran didnt abuse it, but eddy for sure did

I'd like to see this one again, but they actually build their decks for it. I feel like there's a lot of thought and planning that could be incorporated to make the best blind deck possible.

ok real talk, i'd love it if they came back with this concept, but this time crafting decks in a way that allows them to identify cards without seeing them. like, they'd be picking cards they know become yellow under certain circumstances, spells with visual effects or targetting requirements that allow them to differenciate, maybe only running one card of a certain cost to be able to identify it...

13:49 That has to be a bug. There are plenty of ressurrect spells in Priest that cannot be played if no relevant minions have died.
So long as you have the mana, any card can be played. It does do what the spell says: by taking the last demon that died and putting it back onto the board. It just so happens the data for that demon is all 0s.

Rarran's mods are obvious examples of why Hearthstone needs a custom games mode. Think of the possibilities.

Honestly, I'd love to know how to mod the client. I've tested a few texture replacements in the past, but it's obviously not the same :D
When I play card games with homies, we have a rule that must be invoked to be enforced. It's called "everybody gets one." You call it when your opponent Could defeat you and they gotta respect it and let you get a free turn.
But you can always just not if you wanna make em sad 😂
I love how some of these game modes take all the pressure of competition off of you. You're still trying to play well based on what you know, but you're both so aware that unless you're running an aggro deck on curve you can't REALLY be held accountable for losing.
If you hover over the unknown card, it will show how much mana it would take to cast in the lower right of the screen as glowing mana crystals. Not sure if you want to cover that up somehow if you do this "event" again.
This really is the definition of "card green, me play."
Love the idea, i’d keep the same concept but the opponent CAN see your hand. With the mind games and other reactions i think it would be even funnier XD
A bit of a convoluted game idea:
You pick which cards your opponent plays. You must choose at least 1 card every turn if they can afford it to avoid intentionally burning. You choose their cards, but they can choose the targets, discover options, etc.
Rewatching this and it is such a fun video! Would love to see you dungeon run (or maybe even Arena with dreads?) with the mod

The reanimate demon spell with the draw a temporary duplicate 3 drop excavate warlock deck is so freaking fun.
I also love excavate mage for just silly stuff like bouncing the bird and replaying it or playing it on like turn 5.
I lost count how many times eddy hovered an card withouth using it, even tho that was the rule
I do agree that Needlerock is overpowered, for me playing against it because I always leave it up and the opponent mills their Brann and dies to fatigue lol

It’d be cool to see this same challenge but with a new expansion with day 1 decks so you have no idea what’s in the deck and no idea what a card does until you play it!

13:50 It's a fair point, because I'm pretty sure there were some cards back then that couldn't be used unless you have an specific card type on board. Guess nowadays they don't care enough to code the game properly.

What if you hid the board except the minions had a outline, you could still attack with the minions/ other minions, you just wouldnt know what the minions are or what their health is, so if you had that guy that said he could only die by getting honerably killed, he'd be very hard to kill. Only problem is how you'd do the ui but im sure you'd find a way.

Programs like this DO NOT mod the client. They detect images of the cards and then display images over them. Its how any hearthstone reskin works. Eddy did a video on the NSFW mod, which does the same thing. Does not interact with the client whatsoever.

What deck building in wild can do:
Questline Warrior (play green pirate), Random Mage (play only cards that deal damage to enemies then play Galaxy) and Odd Taunt Warrior (play taunts then press hero power (bad)). These are decks that took me 2 minutes to come up with, imagine real deckbuilding 🤔

Just today i had 2 brann tnt warriors against me with my plague dk and as soon as i had helya down plus a couple plagues, they just conceded. So it's the same, if i see brann i just feel like giving up already cause there is just no point, but its the same for them when they see helya
