Tbf it's more of a trailer/music video than just an ad. But man it is very enthralling. Would love an animated series in this style. Partly reminds me of Over the Garden Wall in some parts, but it's often a lot darker in tone

I"m pretty sure it's the three witches around the cauldron, seeing as it's only slightly atonal with the 3 voices, and it says WE'll comfort you, meaning multiple (maybe 3 night hags?)

Seeing how 6 of the Crooked Moon bosses are warped versions of the Edge of Midnight protagonists (and a seventh is Chuckles)... it fills me with chills to see alternate versions of such beloved characters twisted and corrupted like this.
At least, I _hope_ these are just alternate counterparts of them, and not what their canonical fates will be.

@hotbread1004 yes! It's a book module or "story setting" it will show you how to run it as a dm, and has parts of it for the players

@@hotbread1004 Was never really into it either until I watched some groups on youtube. Smosh did one recently and "Dimension 20" has some ridiculous stuff. As does the little animated shorts for "Tales from the Stinky Dragon". But that's mostly humor based. Never really into serious RPG stuff.

I keep coming back to this. The music, the visuals, the tone, everything is perfect.
Ironically that vampire may be the least disturbing thing about this video. Have to say, I love this thing: nursery rhyme-like lyrics, music fit for a local festival, and wonderful artwork creating a perfect blend of creepy and alluring that makes me think, "Should'a backed this. Guess I'll just have to buy it."
A couple of the verses make me think of someone letting something unpleasant slip and then trying to cover it up.

This is the singular ad [not even a video] that inspired me to make a whole religious/cult-y horror/comedy campaign story.
Amazing work though, you can see how much effort and time was put into just this! And the singing is heavenly, gives me chills anytime I listen (:
It is with a heavy sad heart that I will not be kickstarting this, even if it is right up my alley. I simply do not have the means. Nevertheless, you have made a beautiful creation and you can be damn proud of it and of where the kickstart is heading right now (well done guys!!). I hope to one day be able to get the book, but now is unfortunately not the time. To all who can kickstart, give it your best! It looks amazing, and I hope you'll all like it :)

Coming from Magic the Gathering, i fell in love with the lore surrounding the plane of Innestrad with all of its Pilgrim era horrors like vampires, werewolves, the wendigo and the power the moon holds over the people and the plane.
This whole storyline and supplement is right up my ally from the vampires down to the crooked moon. Wish i had backed it sooner to i could run this with my friends. Will be buying a copy when it comes out.
I'm just now going through edge of midnight and hitting the part with the pigeon familiar, so everything is starting to mesh with this contextually but looking back on this now that I got to know and love the characters... GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! the darkest- timeline versions of the PCs in this are sooo chilling!!! I gotta catch up all the way!!!!!!

The music gives me the same vibes as the music in Risk of Rain 2. It's seemingly always increasing intensity while still remaining rather lax. But more importantly, it gives you the distinct feeling that you're NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!

Yorgrim and Farryn's sections together is my favorite part, both visually and musically.
The violin's slow glissando before joining in properly is perfect with the sinister figures in the stone circle.
this is just phenomenal. as a amateur artist and animator one of my biggest dreams is to create a project like this. i have no understanding of dnd whatsoever but as a high school senior questioning weather to go to art/film school, this is such an inspiration to me. the art is gorgeous, it has a compelling story, and the music is incredible. the way its able to make such an atmosphere that is just so amazing. I have so many questions on how this was put together, but it really does show me of what can happen when creative minds come together to make something truly captivating. thank you for giving little kid me who made silly stop motion videos on her tablet, the hope that one day I can create something like this as well. :)

Folk horror is Mabye my favorite theme of all time. I have to say, i am never interested in ads, i usually just ignore them but your stood out immediately and i just had to take a look. Amazong music, art and more. Just tip notch stuff
the song is so eerie especially the way it starts, it gives like, witchy halloween dark vibes, like as if you are in an actual creepy gloomy universe with the entities
happened to get this trailer as an ad 24 hours before the kickstarter ended. the music was so immediately piercing, i couldn't skip it-- and thank god for that.

This might be the first youtube advert I've ever seen that actually sold me on the product. That song alone is magic. I was listening to a series of creepypastas at the time, and when the song came on, I thought it was just part of the video. But man... I'm looking forward to cracking open that book. I haven't been this excited about a module in quite some time.

Saw this as an ad and had no idea what it was for. All the art and haunting vibes were so superb and I was immediately hooked and interested. Imagine my surprise and slight disappointment that it's a 5e tabletop book, but my goodness do i want to experience a dark folktale adventure now. Wish I had money to contribute, but im definitely spreading this around.

@@julieblumberg2035i dont have their names memorized but I recognized Scarecrow guy, Gravedigger, vampire man, masked girl (in the experiment scene?), and alligator which doctor.
@julieblumberg2035 Briggsy is presumably the Undead Crocodile making a voodoo style deal, his hat even appears in the background of the scene. Lethica is the drow with the hood, and Farryn could be the large satyr monster, or that is just the ritual done without her. (Part of Farryn's backstory / sin that threatens to consume her)

The Ad for this came out of nowhere. The song caught my attention. I listened to it on repeat for half an hour and danced to it. Very captivating rhythm. It sounds like there is more though. Maybe an extended version. It feels like it ends to abruptly. When the rest of the song arrives, I will be excited and have it played during my D&D games. Great job with the song and the game. The song alone makes me want to see what the game can do.

I love everything about this-- the vocals, the illustrations, plus all the various folkhorror inspirations from all over! My favorites have to be the Fiddlesticks inspired scarecrow at 0:50, and the gravedigger at 1:32 gives me major Yorick vibes. Overall, this project looks fantastic, props to all who had a hand in this and congrats on reaching the kickstarter goal! 🧡
I could let them get away with the scarecrow, but the grave digger is straight up Yorick with tusks. Just got his old back lantern on.
Its funny cause I thought the same thing about Yorick and Fiddles, but they also are 2 of the characters from the demo they played. I wonder what role they will have. 😮
