No one has seemed to have posted videos showing off the instruments used in MYST, so id thought id break this piece of equipment in by doing so myself :D
very cool! Back in the day when I read they made the entire soundtrack with one guy playing this instrument I was blown away. I guess you can say that's what got me interested in music to begin with. :D It's amazing what you can do with keyboards like these.

I got a Proteus MPS a year ago just for the sounds of Myst yet I didnt get the time to enjoy and play around with it until just recently. Did you ever compile a larger list of the patches Robyn used for Myst? This video helped a great deal to casually play the tunes hy my own hand, its a sureal experience.
Great video. There are a lot more sounds in the soundtrack of myst. "Torch Synth" ie. when the big gears are opened, or "Slave Percussion" on various locations. Or how about the "Magic Bells" when stepping down the generator room? I love my/the Proteus
Yeah I really do need to do a "part 2" to this video as I have discovered more instruments and their applications, can't seem to find the instrument used for the main melody in the "Planetarium" theme, as the soundtrack release uses an oboe instead of what sounds like synth strings.
Thanks for the comment, lol I found this on Ebay c: Soundfonts exist for this keyboard that you can use in FLstudio if ya cant afford the price point of one of these units, you'll just have to determine the instruments used in the presets on this keyboard. Myself and others are trying to sample the instrument in an effort to port the soundtrack to devices it was never intended for. Is there any chance I can collaborate with you?

I have some of these instruments in my Proteus FX. Which have some Proteus MPS presets like Metallivox aka Mtalovox in the FX. Overall these are very good finds.
So far, i have one of the pizz basses. i believe a flute sound. It have some of the proteus 2 presets bundle with some proteus 1 sounds. I have the oboe sound. You can find pizzbass on bank 1, you can find verb flute on bank 0 but it called Verbflut. As for the oboe it also on bank 0, Herb Essence is call Essence in Bank 1. Metallivox is call Mtalovox on Bank 3. It basically like a MPS just bundle with a bunch of sounds from Proteus 1 and Proteus 2 and Some sounds from Proteus 3.
It's a special 18 Volt AC PowerSupply from E-MU (really kinda unusual, since most synths use DC PowerSupplies when external). I am sure that somebody has posted the pinout somewhere in the Internet. It has a rating of 1.5 Amps. The original E-mu Systems part number for the PowerSupply is: ZT318-A. It also says "MPI MODEL NO. TH57A-N1500-D1/2". It's for indoor use only and 'MADE IN CHINA". The manufacturer reads: "MULTI PRODUCTS INT'L (MPI), W. PATERSON, NJ 07424". Hope this helps !

@@peruperu6638 If you want to record sound from the MPS piano, use the plug on the front. Use a cord that will plug into your computers audio. If you want the MPS piano to create MIDI on computer, use USB TO MIDI cords.

My MPS isn't an Orchestra Plus, so I can't get the same feel. But still a very unique digital keyboard.

I have one that I am getting ready to sell actually, in great condition :) It is the original one, without the Orchestral samples upgrade.
If you want these sounds, i recommend checking out the proteus fx. it have some of the sounds from myst. It also include some proteus 2 sounds.
