To the person who's received an email regarding IGameServersService/QueryByFakeIP Yes I am that guy.
when you active interceptor/Jensen can you do a small tutorial on how to use and download (:
6:45 or you could take a page out of federated social media's book and make them cross-reference each other and have the one with the most votes on one side [cheat|not] be the one displayed on all servers. also using mit-kerberos could be a great way to authenticate between servers via integrity hashing (for the source code, not the data) so that there is a method to authenticate between "good" servers and "bad" ones.
Hope you have a great day & Safe Travels!
Maybe you can try to show this to paladin or uncle Dane so they could put up a server
Question but what about new cheating accounts with no data on them how many games will it take for the anti cheat to recognize it or will you be able to tell on the first shot the guy makes
WHY DID YOU DO IT? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DESTROY THE BOTS, NOT MAKE THOUSANDS OF THEM!
you KNOW a game is neglected when the COMMUNITY is building an anti cheat
Trackmania Speedruning making an anti slow motion mod that's required
well the community wants the game to keep running so its up to it to take care of stuff
why do i feel like this project could get a DMCA from TF2, a slim chance, but posible somehow

@@hdlmscruffee227 You don't have to fabricate the whole game, you just need to change a normal play into a suspicious one with some edits.
For example, You could probably change the look data to make it seem like an inhuman flick was performed when it wasn't during the actual game.
@@hdlmscruffee227You underestimate how nuts people can be.
@@johnsmith34 I feel like this this would have a domino effect, like if a flick were to be put in place when the person never looked, you would have to start changing other things, and then other things, and then you basically rewrite the whole match. Unless you mean turn a legit flick into an inhuman flick, then that's completely different.
bro is the embodiment of the phrase "fine, i'll do it myself"
The bots got so mad they called themselves niggascatterbomb to disrespect him
the entire tf2 cheating community really doesn’t care from the looks of it, they find it funny
One problem I see for the machine learning is that the data you'll have will be overwhelmingly cheaters, so that might bias your neural network
Well the thing is that not only do you get the data on the cheaters but also the data on all the other players on the match, and getting replay data form clean games isn't hard either. So you can quite confortably get a good validation and training set.
The issue I see cropping up is segmenting and identifying that data in a consistent reproducible way. Because if you just feed raw replay packets to the AI not much will work. You would need to extract things like camera movements on individual characters, trigger responses to accuracy changes, and all of those stuff right out of the raw data as this is your best bet to get significant data relevance
You’re suggesting anomaly detection vs. signature detection.
Anomaly detection requires much more investment and may falter with edge cases.
It’s much easier just to see what cheaters are already doing and comparing them to others. The worse case scenario is cheaters will adapt and look more like regular players.
My main concern is the fact that it's public and open source. The bad guys will take advantage of whatever they can I'm sure of that, namely the botkicker tool.
Also the managers of the other DBs could be bad actors potentially too, so I hope you get lucky with the people, maybe some big, willing names or someone they trust.
It's always hard to be the good guy and be transparent, it always sets you up for an uphill battle against the petty, undeserving malicious people, but good luck. I may even participate for once.
This is definitely something that requires some of the more big tftubers in my opinion. Since most of them are well known and trustworthy. And tend to have more money than the average tf2 player. The only one I wouldn't ask for this is uncle Dane but that's only because he's already hosting a lot of servers 24/7 and I can't imagine the bills he's paying every month
it being Open Source can also be a huge helper to it though, look at the linux kernel, due to the sheer number of contributors, bugs and vulnerabilities are more likely to be found by the people working on it rather than some hacker looking to do some damage.
Wow, somebody with no experience thinks their shitty opinion means anything!
@@phanton4305 On second thought, traders are also good options, though only for hosting, I imagine most don't actually play the game anymore, even if they would like to.
@@TrolleyMC Of course, it's just a double edged sword. They can make a copy that's one step ahead of this and make it obsolete, in theory. In reality, maybe there's precautions that can be taken to prevent that?

@@nick33ee The community made a client for pc players to finally play together along with mods like; custom gamemodes, maps, servers, guns, imported voicelines, imported custom models, etc.

the outro music is just the start of the end
This is an amazing and extremely interesting project you have! I am very excited to see how this progresses into the future!
This guy is the beacon of help and safety. This is the guy you can cower behind when theres a problem, the greatest type of humans around. We love you❤
I dont play TF2 anymore, but still keep up to date with stuff happening in-game, and ive decided that you're the first channel ill become a member to. You deserve all the money I can spare. Thank you for doing this, you are a certified legend. Cheers from Australia.
You might just have to hop back on when the bots are purged
Maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but be careful that someone doesn't set up a server that sends BS info to the Master. Get some DDoS protection for any server thats doing this! These hackers will do whatever it takes.
If the Cheaters on the Australian region were already pissed off at you I can only imagine the absolute incoherent mouth frothing murderous frenzy they are going to be in globally when this thing launches.
Sounds great, hope it works.
But I'm a little bit worried with vulnerabilities with this tool:
My main concern are with false-positives, if marked cheaters are instantly going to be vote-kicked upon joining a game (karma), what about the potential false-positives or reformed cheaters? Joining a game and getting instantly vote-kicked, I don't think a manual or automated appeal system would work since there's human error and bugs.
There's also the very real possibility that when Valve catches wind of this (if they haven't already), they could "politely" tell you to screw off; because Valve is only capable at making bad decisions atm.
I'm not a programmer, so I don't know how much of this is valid concern. Best of luck though! Can't wait to see the new update vids.
Vac would be the same if VALVe updated it. Its also stated that there will be measurements for this. But they haven't been revealed as they could possibly be abused I'm guessing
It's a very valid concern considering they supposedly plan to use AI to detect cheaters. AI is extremely difficult to debug since it's basically just a computer program that makes its own arbitrary decisions based on its training data. Will it make mostly correct guesses? Probably. Will it *always* make correct guesses, with a 0% error rate? Nobody knows, and unless there's a way to appeal your ban (which will definitely be abused by cheaters, by the way) this whole database will be useless, if not outright destructive.
This fills me with hope, but also a substantial feeling of worry. I have faith that you'll get this right, but I just worry that if this goes wrong, it could be catastrophic. Godspeed, you magnificent bastards.
I don’t even play TF2 but even I can recognize how huge this is for the community. You’re doing Valve’s work my friend
Nah, valve wouldn't do it

I did not understand much but, Godspeed
This is incredible! Truly amazing and beautiful! I wish you all the best with this project and hope it succeeds! This has some amazing energy behind it
i've had you in one of my games and you were real good and to now find out that you are making this is incredible, Bravo!
This is an unfortunate but necessary video. Also extremely impressive. You know that doing this will cause the vast collection of TF2 cheaters to band together and work against you, but you also need community input to make this gargantuan project run as smooth as possible.
cheaters are just thugs/gang members who think they're hot shit with that they're doing but as soon as their illegal market gets a blow they lose their shit, bet they can't even shoot straight with a gun or even a bb gun 😂
Ever since I saw your last video, I was thinking, man, if this became worldwide and was explored more, that would be the coolest
So glad that the video well enough to warrant this becoming a bigger thing, I'm really looking forward to what kinda stuff you do 🙏
Make more tf2 fnaf videos you dingus
Thank you for your services dude. The whole reason I haven't checked out TF2 was because of all of the cheaters and bots.
I'm blown away, you guys are amazing!!! I will patiently wait for this for as long as needed
Here during the premire. I'm very skeptical but I think we should let this guy cook.
This.... this fills me with a joy and wish to play TF2 i've not felt in over 6 years.
Its hilarious that players are doing more work the valve has in probably the entire history of TF2 to stop cheaters.
This is the beginning of a great idea and hopefully an amazing service. Good luck with your quest.
We could contact notable popular TF2 youtubers so they can spread the word about this, someone should forward this video to them!
Proud to be a megascatterbomb supporter, godspeed my friend.
All I can think about is the dev slipping a little payload in there 😂 but this is too much effort to waste on something like that.
Good luck with your project, this is awesome work!
For some reason this video seems like some Top Secret Military/SCP plan being made here to take control.Either way i wish everyone best of luck on this mission.
God I remember voting for heavy. I feel old
I remember the medic update
@in all of life there is rhythm oh yeah?

I used to be a Demo main. When the Meat your Match update happened I voted for Heavy and decided to play as him to "properly" represent the team. Been a Heavy main since.

Make sure you are very certain that people are cheating if people are going to be automatically voting on cheaters. It would seriously suck to be mislabeled and constantly kicked.
Scripts will be the ones votekicking, not people.
There was actually a story that happened to me about 2 years ago. I was playing as a Scout in one of classical maps after a 5 year break. My strategy was simple - “run around, fight and have some fun”. The members of the opposite team began to call me a bot, I even asked why they thought so, but they went on without defining any clear reason. For about 3/4 of the match went with the opposite team voting “yes” for banning me from server for a reason me being a bot and my team voting “no”. And I also met this bot problem myself. The only thing I want to tell you is just to be careful, because there are some people sometimes who want to benefit from this situation.
Bro, I'm so sorry to tell you, after this video dropped, servers have been filling with your voice said with AI saying rasict things using your name.
i dont really play tf2 anymore but i hope your group can carry this out, would be nice to see a proper community solution to bots
