This is quite an admirable ethical choice to make as a UA-camr. Regrettably I cannot afford to continue to your channel at this time, so instead I'm liking/subscribing, and commenting to boost your numbers. This is a terrific video which was brought to me via my Recommended feed, and I fully intend to to a deep dive on your work past and future. Thanks for being cool.
Usually the reason guitarists tune right before is that it can get out of tune as you play it (if you practiced before the start) or even with things like temperature (if lights are shining on it it'll heat up). And then there's just the obsessive perfectionism of wanting to make sure it's just right
@@jareddesai8467 yes, all true, what I meant is, imo, the guitarist should tune right before walking on stage, not in front of the audience. Also, if it’s going out of tune that easily, might be time to save up for a better guitar. 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
I’m guilty of tuning my guitar between each song, for multiple reasons. Many songs don’t use standard tunings, a lot of songs you need to tune to drop D, or half step down, or open tunings. But the biggest reason is that guitar strings are tiny strands of flexible metal, so they naturally stretch out as you play your guitar, and they get loose and out of tune. Nothing worse than playing the wrong notes, it can ruin the song. Some skilled players can even tune their guitar while in the middle of playing a song live. That skill requires a well trained ear for sure.
Most ebony boards are dyed in order to make the black uniform. Some companies have moved away from it completely. I’ve got a few guitars with undyed ebony boards and they look amazing. Pale moon is an especially beautiful wood.
@@kimthompson5871 I have a few guitar book videos you might enjoy also! They’re all in this playlist I think: ua-cam.com/play/PLhZ4ajd28zuA0y6tb21aOdTV5dMxeL1aA.html&si=bLkFNd-B5Nvhnd9z
I believe the "extra switch" on the guitar with the tone and volume controls is either a Master Volume Control or a blender knob (for blending the sound of both pickups).
Hi linda . Nice . What songs do u like to play ...? You should put some playing vids up... The most beautiful thing about a guitar is the person that plays it...... I always ♥️ what you do especially if it is interesting personaly. You sound amazing. Leonard.

Really enjoying your videos. I appreciate that you’re more soft-spoken as opposed to whispering and weird noises.
Much more relaxing, in my opinion.

@ when people tune while playing I’m so impressed! How do you even do that?!?
@ you might need a few more guitars to make it easier on yourself! 😜
🎸
@ the goal is to have a guitar tech behind the scenes that tunes the guitars for me. One can only dream. 🤞
I’m incredibly impressed with how much you learned about guitars in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed this video.
