I followed the guide exactly. However if you are having issues finding certain folders you could try searching the one you need. Make sure you are in the correct drive (the drive with the game I believe) plus you will need to extract the mod for it to work. Right click and then put the unzipped file in to the game
There is no microsoft flight simulator folder for me I'm using windows 8.1 and i'm playing mfs20 on the microsoft site (pc but using control) can you help me? edit: I found the microsoft flight simulator folder (was microsoft xbox) but when i go to LocalCache there is nothing
i bought this game from xbox game pass pc and i tried to download addons in local app data but didnt work. then i tried to browse my community files snd it showned on d drive but when i tried to extract some files there it doesnt work it says : your organzation does not allow you to place file here pls helpp

what can i do if i have the cracked game? i don't have the game files on the way u showed, I have then on a carpet called GAMES, with mfs2020 on it, with appdata and local carpet but no Microsoft.flightsimulator and everything after that u showed.
But when I look for the item in the sim eg an aircraft mod its not in the list of aircraft, the aircraft is in the "contents" section but says, "not installed" and there's no button to say "install", any help please?.
What do i do if my planes i have arent appearing? (edit): if its your first time doing this make sure you extract to the folder rather than extracting then moving to the folder :)

idk which one is the correct folder where I put my mods in. the only way I found MSFS is going through (C:)/User/User/roaming/MSFS/packages/community. The other way i found it was this way, (F:)/steam library/community.

I'm in the same boat but I saw on a forum that someone got it to work with the game pass version so I'm still trying. Fair warning, the post was from about a year ago.
For STEAM users, it's (C:)/User/user/Appdata/Roaming/msfs/Packages
So its Roaming in stead of Local, might come in handy for someone
