Wonderful! I have installed all of your mods (some of these I already had like the awesome fly-by-wire Airbus.) Thank you very much for this list! The vegetation draw distance fix is especially interesting because I hate "optimizations" that significantly reduce graphics and overall visual quality, like LOD pop-ins, vegetation disappearing, removal of shadows and other immersion breaking things. Is there a mod that removes the ugly LODs the aircraft now have when observing them in the hangar? For example when I choose the Diamond Aircraft DA62 and zoom back one meter in the hangar, it`s cockpit and seats have a second low polygon lowest quality LOD popping in right in front of my eyes instead of keeping the good visual fidelity. I want the LODs of the aircraft models gone, do you know any mod for this? To increase the aircraft LOD draw distance? And is there a mod to make the vegetation and the amount of trees in forest areas more dense to really have jungle out there while bush flying? ;)
Thanks a lot Julia, I'm glad you like the video :) Regarding the trees density, I'm not aware of any mod that can increase it, but it mainly depends on the trees setting in the graphics options. When set to High or Ultra, you should get the most trees possible. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any mod that increases the aircraft's LOD. Cheers

His English is excellent took me a while to figure out he was probably German , I live in Germany , my wife speaks fluent English with no accent , mainly because she spent the first 8 years of her life in the USA. But I really like your voice overs very clear with a good delivery , I find some of the native English speakers hard to follow than yourself , and excellent content , especially since I only install Flights in 2020 over the weekend and have mainly been focused on flying around the Hamburg area's were I live.

You mean the map of the MFD in the TBM930? You can change it to show terrain on the MFD options page on one of the touchscreen units, under the "Sensor" tab.

Oh, and #4 (Better Ground Markings) is now available in the in-game Store. I bought it there because I prefer store stuff to buying 3rd party, that way all my receipts, etc, are in one place, but that's me. If other people want to buy direct, go for it!
I suspect many or some of those graphical updates and freeware are just “ overlays “, particularly some of the heavy scenery overlays, like laying a thick carpet on a floor. The appearance from above is nice, but close up you can see the stitching !, that’s my analogy !. So therefore how much of this stuff will really slow down and burden the frame rates in MS FS 2020 ?. But thank you, great video as some of this freeware is good. Just be careful what you install. I have now subscribed to your channel as your presentation is good.

Sorry I don't own the ORBX mesh. I would leave it active and look at the airports if there are any mesh issues. Regards
Thank you for these FOC add -on’s, good selection, the TBM 930 improvement one, I cannot get the click spots to work and open/close doors etcwould you have any advice on how to resolve, the pilots appear and sun visors work but not the doors. Kind Regards Charlie (UK)
Hi, I recently commented on the TBM 930 page on flightsim.to on how to fix that issue if you have YourControls or the community flap hotfix mod installed.

2. Check if you have community-flap-hotfix, if yes, edit the layout.json file and remove the following lines

I have tried the Vegetation Draw Distance Fix 100/75 and cannot see any difference. I just placed the folder in the community folder. Am I missing something?

Ich habe eine RTX 2070 Super, also kein wirkliches High-End Monster ;) Eigentlich sollte das mit einer 3070 problemlos möglich sein, hier geht's vor allem um das optimieren der Grafik-Einstellungen denke ich. Vielleicht werde ich mal ein Video dafür veröffentlichen.

How big qre rhe world updates? How many gigabites? Or did it come with the game files in the base update?
The extra freeware in the marketplace adds on top of the base game updates, they are also several gigabytes in size. But definitely worth it, they contain all the enhanced airports, landmarks etc.
Sir i have a question. i have not played for couple months the sim, "vegetation Draw Distance Fix" has been deleted from the page you've shared. Was the problem solved by Osobo or is there any other page i can download it?
Yes that's true, in some past update they changed the way the vegetation is drawn and the fix was no longer compatible. I'm not aware of any other free mod that enhances the vegetation draw distance.

super, i feel a bit sad for people who don't realize there are thousands of free sceneries and mods that exist outside the dreadful expensive marketplace. a great tool I use is the freeware package manager for msfs2020 even though I am confident finding and dealing with the community folder. I can understand the value of the marketplace especially with the XBOX release, but lots of payware is very expensive and a bit of a ripoff. Paying 60 euro for the whole world and then 19.99 for a tiny bit of it seems extreme. but of course someone has to make a buck I guess

Yes that's true. Just place the unpacked mod folders into the Community folder and they should work.
Can FSX aircraft be flown in this new sim?

Unfortunately, no and no. Not without heavy converting.
There’s no marketplace in my Microsoft Flight Simulator, why is that so? I got the simulator from game pass but there isn’t marketplace.

Any mod that fixes the brake performance? They seem way too strong on every plane, I can land an a320 at small local airports with ease
Not that I'm aware of. Maybe the ground behavior will be improved at some point. Did you try the A32NX mod?
Very cool but the G1000 & G300 need to be packaged up. It's just a mess of jumbled files on his google drive n have no idea what is what.

my addon planes are working. but i cant fly it. means it doesnt function. only spawns
Is there a fix for taxiway signs? Mine are glaring so much they're unreadable.
I have seen one mod for taxiway signs on flightsim.to once, but I can't find it anymore now :( It involved some manual overwriting of MSFS core files though...

I didn't have any issues yet, the mods either stay compatible after MSFS updates or they receive a compatibility patch very quickly.
MSF2020 is certainly glorious-looking but I just wish there was as intense an effort to improve the non-visual, simulation systems. ATC and non-player aircraft AI is lacklustre. Aircraft systems simulation is rather basic too. As well as the glorious VFR flying eye-candy, I'm just as interested in IFR scenarios and reasonably accurate aircraft and flight procedures but things are bare-bones here. From what I can tell from third-party developer chat, the MSFS2020 devs have left the SDK somewhat under-documented and lacking in features for add-on devs to hook into and use to help bring more accurate systems add-ons to the market.
I totally agree on that Darren. I'm eager to see how good the systems of the upcoming PMDG 737 really are. Cheers

Ich wusste doch, dass ich da nen deutschen Sprecher rausgehört habe. Super Video und beinhaltet fast alle must haves. Was ich noch empfehlen kann ist We Love VFR. Bringt VFR Objekte wie Sendemasten, Radarkuppeln, Kräne und bald wohl auch Industrielle Schornsteine nach Europa. Alles basierend auf Open Street Maps.

Ist eine externe App die unabhängig vom MSFS gestartet werden muss. Das Ingame panel kann dann mit Bild Hoch getoggled werden.

Just graduated from trade college ... once I get into my career I want to get this and a joy stick... a regular joy stick ok for this ? Like 150$?
Yes a standard joystick is absolutely sufficient to begin with. I'm using a Thrustmaster T16000M which did cost me 60 bucks maybe.

@@05Rm250RideAlong That's correct, but a joystick definitely is recommended for flying. And nice to have some important mappings on it as well, like gear, flaps, reverse thrust etc.
A low-cost item to get started is an Xbox controller. It maps critical functions to the buttons and the thumbsticks work as mini joysticks. But make sure to get the wired kind that plug into USB.

Great review, but why do people interchange the term "stock," with "default?" "Stock," does not mean "original," or "unmodified," "stock," is a colloquialism of the term, "in stock," which means, "in inventory."
The closest connection I can discern, rises from the popularity of "stock car racing," which limited competitors to modifications available in a dealers stock of replacement parts. So "stock" never meant "original," it meant "replacement for original."
Within this class of racing, upgrading all Dodges to the Super Bee specification and all Fords to the Shelby specs, soon became routine, so the term "stock," was relaxed to include aftermarket suppliers inventories. Prefer to use the term "default" to refer to OEM software.

Didn't try it yet, but it doesn't seem to be that great and it's incompatible with the A32NX.

Yes it is safe, but I would highly recommend to get 7-zip. It's the best free unpacker imo.

No help for you. Only thing I can tell it works perfect for me. How did you "install" it?
What I did:
Unpack the folder somewhere. You simply have to run the exe. That's it. Do NOT install/unpack it into the community folder, but somewhere else.
Would be so much more helpful if the description was timestamped so we can skip the stuff we already know.

How can I install the freeware on my computer?
Look for the Community folder of MSFS, which you have either chosen yourself during installation, or it resists under: C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\. Usually you just have to unpack the downloaded mod file and place the folder in this Community folder.
