I worked out at the same gym as Mike for several years and I'll tell you there's nobody that can match his self discipline. The dude shows up around 4am most of the time and does endless sets of insane weight. He's almost always in contest shape is a hell of a nice guy to boot. Credit where credit is due.
Personally I don't doubt that he's a hard worker and a cool guy. But it annoys me even more. If he was an asshole lying about roids, who cares. But his overall message and legacy that could be positive and useful is spoiled by this silliness.

@@Ben-xc3rw If by energy you mean shortened recovery time that’s correct. Steroids enable longer and more frequent lifting sessions whereas a natural lifter doing the same routine would be more likely to burn themselves out. Of course not everyone’s physiology is identical so the same approach can yield different results depending on the person. But whereas a steroid user could conceivably lift hard for 3 hours everyday and max out their results any natural lifter going that hard with that level of frequency would likely not get any positive result and probably just injure themself.
For the amount of jokes and abuse he gets, Mike has proven to be a very cool guy. He takes it all in his stride and can laugh at himself. A class act.

Here’s the thing - steroids or not 99.99% of people would be genetically unable to achieve the level of physique and strength that Mike has.
Yeah. Even with steroids, you need to work hard with patience, determination, and commitment for that Greek body otherwise.. it's useless. Most people don't know that steroids only boosts your testosterone which includes increase of muscle tissue to build faster and that equals to body mass to achieve the peak body you've always wanted.

This is a good example of why some people don’t like Mike. He claims natty, then gives an indirect passive aggressive jab to Joe Rogans physique, someone who is open about his testosterone and hgh usage. Joe has never trained like a bodybuilder which is why he doesn’t look like one. Mike does train like a bodybuilder and he’s been blasting tren since highschool, which is why he looks the way he does. The difference between him and Joe is that Joe is honest and open. Btw, in a fight between Joe and Mike, you better believe Joe is spinning back kicking Mikes guts into his spine.

Here we go with the "hard work" meme. Lifting weights is not hard work when you're on gear and seeing massive gains week after week and reducing recovery time by like 95%. It's a psychological and physiological aid. There's a constant supply of motivation that carries you through workouts. Working out becomes enjoyable. Stop downplaying the shit. It makes a massive difference.

But you should care if he lies or not. If he is indeed lying, then he's putting out a lie for those who are actually natty into thinking they could have a physique like him by just working out, drinking proteins and getting enough sleep. Until those people realize that no matter how hard they work, they're somehow still putting less work than Mike and Dwayne who are also "natty." Then they'd overwork, have body dysmorphia, possibly start steroids, and be a fake natty. Vicious cycle of lies, all just because influencers won't admit they're using steroids.

I respect what he has done but would respect him a heck of a lot more if he was fully transparent. Bc at the end of the day, we want to know what he’s doing to stay in great shape and obviously a mixture of compounds is part of that. But by ignoring that aspect, there isn’t much we can learn from him.

I remember Mike at Gold's back in the 1990s, for years. He wasn't one of the bigger guys, he wasn't pushing the big weight, but he kept going. Honestly, I probably wasn't all that nice to Mike or talk to him very much. Like myself and many others....we are way out of it, many of my friends from that time are dead, dying or dealing with serious health/skeletal issues. Very few kept with it. Give the guy the credit he deserves. He looks great, healthy, and he is happy. What else could you ask for???

Hey, I give Mike all the cred in the world, plus he still looks f-n phenomenal. He is definitely significantly bigger now than he was then. One would hope after 30+ years Absolutely nothing against the guy. He was always friendly enough, but we never really built any type of friendship. We never said anything but "hello". Most of the guys I trained with were in the 1800+club and without suits, shirts, 3 spotters, 2 video cameras, etc. It was the age of IFBB vs WBF and there was minimal BS and nobody in these crews did singles, hell, doing legs with JC Huber in his prime every other week, that guy would blow out controlled 700+lb buckets like it was easy. "WTF am I spotting you for???" Anyway, I am getting off topic. Most of those guys are dead or long out of it.

As far as I know Mike isn’t selling a product. To where he claims this product will give you my body/physique ? I know about the Duck Egg things. But, does he even push that anymore ? Not that I’m aware of. Mike even talks sense. And shows transparency. On the issues with steroids. For me and it’s just me. It’s the message Mike pushes. That far out weigh if he’s natural or not. You can tell he’s just a good dude. I see so many people thanking him. For his daily knowledge and wisdom. That he bestows us on the internet. With all of that said. Why are so many obsessed with him. On whether he’s natural or not natural ? It’s a genuine question. I wanna know. It’s like some people will give him all the credit in the world.
