Great video!!!!
Hi, Demian. I think the material for the main blades is some kind of carbon fiber filler, PETG is very brittle, ABS+ with carbon fiber! But I assure you that chopped carbon fiber does not affect the strength in any way, it only makes it look beautiful,
Great guess! Very close too, the black main blades are made from Nylon Carbon Fiber!
I just printed some 110mm blades from my K110s from PLA. Printed th bottom flat onto the print bed and then just tappered the blade toward the tip from 2.6mm to 1mm and taper to the back from the leading edge. sanded top smooth a bit (has 4 layer teps but very even. Works an absolute treat.
That sounds great! Just be careful on how aggressive you're flying with them lol I blade stuck my tail boom and had my rc helicopter explode. For basic flight its great! Send over some photos and videos if you have any!
@@LifeAroundDamian good point, i'd most probably not use PLA on anything more thean 1s
This is what the blades did to my helicopter lol...granted the whole airframe was also 3D printed!

@@LifeAroundDamian Yikes! That was a rather violent unscheduled rapid disassembly :O Glad you didnt get hurt.
@@funknunkl I got too comfortable and flew a little harder than I should have lol I'm glad nothing bad happened either!
Maybe they could be printed flat without the steps using FullControl
I'll have to look into that. I haven't heard of that before.
Vertical is best for strength tho but you would need a raft
I took a break from 3d print blades after my helicopter exploded lol but im definitely interested in making them better in the future!
