  • A much needed compilation of Mrs Coulter being soft (but mostly protective) over Lyra [SEASON TWO, His Dark Materials]. She really does love her though. Everything she did in S2 was for Lyra...and getting her child back.
I was slightly more successful with this edit. It only took me 28 versions (rather than 42 for S1) before YT stopped taking it down lol. Again, I had to cut a few minor lines I wish I didn't have to, but at least all the scenes are still there.
Cannot wait to make a Season 3 version!
    #HisDarkMaterials #RuthWilson #DafneKeen
Stay tuned for more Mrs Coulter, Lyra Belacqua, and His Dark Materials content :)

The irony that when Lyra says “I’m nothing like you.” She ends up doing the exact same thing Marisa did in S1 with the daemon attack. 😂

Difference being she didn’t feel good about it. She felt guilty after.

I'm not too sure what she would choose to do with them now that her experiment is destroyed but it wouldn't b good my guess is she'd poison them like she did boreal

I've never read the books I only watched the movie with Nicole Kidman and waited for a sequel and then randomly decided to buy it on UA-cam a few months ago and came across videos from the series I never knew was done bc I don't pay for regular TV and don't get BBC channel so of course I had to buy both seasons and watch and I like both series and movie but series better more in depth but I'm told that mrs Coulter dies for Lyra in the last book and I hate that I wish they could grow close and have a relationship of some kind in 3rd season I hope they do

It upsets me when people say that ms coulter is a bad person with lyra
Maybe she's a bad person in general..but she is completely different with lyra ..she might have hurt her but all of it was for lyraś own good.and no one can deny that ms coulter loves her daughter and try to protect her..I mean you can see it in her loving sad eyes when she looks at lyra!

I know exactly what you mean. Mrs Coulter does indeed love Lyra and all she wants to do is protect her. I don't believe Mrs Coulter was shown or given love as a child, and clearly wants to correct this for her own daughter. But because Mrs C doesn't understand love and never learnt how to love, she doesn't know how to express it to Lyra, hence her unconventional methods. But she's trying, she knows her intentions with Lyra are good, and you can see that she recognises Lyra is the most important thing in her life (especially S2 onwards). S3 is going to destroy us all...and I cannot wait!!!

"hurt her for her own good"
That's some pretty messed up thinking and one way to justify her wrong doings 🤮

She didn't at first. When she first took her from Jordan she just saw Lyra as a way to get at Asrial. But she says it herself in the book. That she couldn't help loving her own child in the end. In the end Lyra was all she cared about. And it was the only part of her that was still good.

Can someone explain why the monkey was hesitant at first in helping lyra at the end

    • @mrscoulter426
      @mrscoulter426  Рік тому +23

Mrs C had just found out that Lyra is Eve, which terrified her. She's conflicted because obviously she wants to protect her child, but the prophecy is huge - lots of people will be after Lyra (including the people she worked for), and consequently her if she steps in. She knows it will be a mammoth task to conceal Lyra. It's a scary situation which is why Mrs C is conflicted, and we see that as hesitation in the monkey. Part of herself is hesitating...

There are always downloads out there if you know where to find them 😅
Look up ‘index of [tv show name]’ and you’ll usually find a link. Otherwise you could stream HDM through BBC iPlayer (with a vpn if you’re not in the UK).
