What are your feelings of playing this compared to the new wow release?

not even comparison. One is a 17 year old game that never updated its engineering until 64 bit clients in 2024 (and yet has a beloved IP), and the other is a 20 year old game that has billions of dollars behind it and still retains tens of millions of players and has modernized their game over time with massive investments. Both are fun. But WOW is WORLDS ahead of LOTRO in terms of modernization, quality of life, and population.
