Your throwaway remark at 1:01:20ish made things a lot clearer for me in my forced walker journey. “Having another market allows me to have housing on both sides of the road”. I’ve been doing fine because I usually throw a couple of markets down early on. But it’s good to know why I was so frustrated early on
2:22:06 🤣🤣🤣 After watching so much historical inaccuracy with the use of Lions. Booting out Looters from the city (in Roman style) in such a cruel way that is totally accurate. Absolutely cracked me up hahaha… 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant.
"My consul, the enemy is attacking with a large army, should we send the legions?" "Nah, just send a dozen lions. Leo will handle it just fine" -Consul GamerZakh, 2021 (probably)
Historically, after the Roman Empire conquered Dacia, they looted so much gold and silver from the province that the Roman Empire averted an economic crisis.
Hey maybe new chalange to complete campaign without using any single forts is a fun way to play this game again! We love to watch u man! keep the good work up
I'm just a crazy person yelling at a screen: PONDS! POOOOONDS! Please ponds! 57:11 my husband does not understand my obsession in yelling the word pond every now and then. Loved the video anyways!
One trick I figured out is towers can fire past one-thick walls in front of them. And enemies stand still while attacking that wall. It really bleeds them down.
I assume the reason those lions stopped spawning from time to time had to do with your lack of employees. Not sure, but every time there were no lions in the south-east side you had a lack of employees. Might be something to take into account. Thanks for yet another entertaining video, and I hope your move will go as planned and all is well! :)
"How did some wolves get out?" Well, if you wall them in not right at the very start of the map play, you may end up walling not in their spawn point but somewhere close by. When you kill them with towers, they usually have time to respawn one or two wolves. I bet those were the one who "got out", you just need to pause the map immediately when starting and wall the wolves up, THEN you are certain they will die at the right spot! ;-)
The marketladys beeing together is actually better. I think it was more about that there isnt enough food in the system or the library bath house needed a second one (those are better too seperate for obvious reasons, but the market lady doesnt really care about the length, because the collector has such a short ressuplying road anyway)
I disagree, it's definitely best to stagger the market ladies. With long forced walker roads, it's not just an issue of the market ladies re-stocking quickly enough, it's also an issue of how long it takes housing to use up their goods before the next market lady comes. It was a long route. He could have done with the extra markets earlier, staggered.
@@MasssiveJuice yes but this tour wasnt long enough for it to matter I know this because it didnt even matter for a longer route i tested it just needed more farms for this one.
Hello! 9:03 you start creating farm away from any housing, and they start producing. when I do the same, they are empty even if much closer to the housing, and I have to add in small tents next to empty industrial blocks, which then create riots (they can't evolve), its a mayhem in Augustus. How can I use industrial far away from housing without adding small tents? I searched all over the internet and could not get the answer and now I see you do it casually.
@@GamerZakh Woah. This makes the game so much more enjoyable! I can now play without riots every 3 seconds. Thanks a lot for keeping such an underrated game alive! GL
Nice! I think this is one of the best military missions although you have choke points having invasions at all sides and the rebel insurgencies make it more difficult. Lindum otherwise looks so meh. It's open like a desert mission but easier because it's a north province, lots of fertile lands, almost every resource. We could have a fire at the forests and surprise invasions, or a worse map or more difficult import/exports.
I may have asked this already but, have you considered playing a long Rome 1 campaign? It could be the Remastered, honestly :) I'd prefer a cool longer mod, tho :)
How did you all solve the natives problem, as soon as i start building the houses, they are coming and destroying it. I have the mission post already build on their land.
When you place a mission post, the missionary walker that spawns needs to walk into all the native claimed territory to 'unclaim' it. If you check your overlays, Risks, Native, you will see red zones and if you build anything on those red zones they will attack you.
Probably cause prefect are not that good vs troop type enemy unlike lion tamer and gladiator. If I'm not mistaken the enemy that prefect can handle a bit better are the local uprising type and animal.
Yeah this was live streamed. Twitch notifications can be like UA-cam notifications, as in they don't always get sent out. To be sure to get a notification, we've set up a pinging system on our Discord.

FINALLY!!! @GamerZakh ACTUALLY focuses on military early.... like he always says he does. 😅😅😅
Hahaa
Have you played the Zeus Posseidon 1.1 mod Enhancement pack with Odyseee mission and maps ?
@@maedero05 I haven't, just been trying to get through the vanilla campaign so far.
@@GamerZakh are you going back to Zeus after this Caesar 3 playthrough btw?
Zakh: Protects the city with a lion defence force
Caesar: "PAH!"

I am so glad we got to see lions in action! That was hilarious 😂

I think, by now you need a Pah! counter for your videos... Joke asside, great content!
Duuude those lions are insane!
Why did I built forts all those years
This is crazy how rich those barbarians are!
We refer to them as 'daci liberi' (free Dacians) in Romanian!
Historically, after the Roman Empire conquered Dacia, they looted so much gold and silver from the province that the Roman Empire averted an economic crisis.
Amazing how fast a group of half-naked barbarians can tear through a fortified wall!
Should’ve built the wall out of lions
“Looting… you guys don’t get to live here anymore…” Oh My God if you make merch I want a t-shirt that says that.
Damn those lions kick ass, did this mission today and used grand temple of Mars to get the 4 extra forts.
The lion defense system and the chain "pah!"'s you received make this one of the more hilarious videos 😂
Haha it is a bit of a weird setup, glad you enjoyed it!
Amateur: you must return the money you borrowed or you to go jail.
Pro: pah!
Lmao the lion defence system. Why didn't the Romans think of that when the Vandals attacked.
Hey maybe new chalange to complete campaign without using any single forts is a fun way to play this game again! We love to watch u man! keep the good work up
friendship with tower is over. now. lion is my best friend
Thats the spirit, never give up. :)
Barbarians attacking the city . Zakh: "RELEASE THE LIONS!!!"😅😂
LOVED the lion defense. What a cool idea. I'm wondering if building a grand temple to Mars to get more forts is worth it. Fun game play. Thanks, Zakh🥰

Lion defense. Now I’ve seen everything!!
If they gave out doctorate degrees for impression game Zakh would have all of them.
love this channel, such a vibe

I was actually surprised how easy this one was. Compared to some of the previous ones!
best game of all times
My favorite mission, finally !
Manifesting my will across time and space so the greatest tragedy in my national history gets corrected
that should be the stinkiest city ever. 11y w/o a bath xD

Hundreds of lions and no bath houses!
You could use a mounted fort or two. They will get to the invasion quickly and slow down the invading forces until your troops arrive.

That's an option in the modded Augustus version. You can turn it on in the Augustus version options and it's called global labour.
@@GamerZakh Woah. This makes the game so much more enjoyable! I can now play without riots every 3 seconds. Thanks a lot for keeping such an underrated game alive! GL
Today I was walking through a rich neighborhood thinking: how did they get so developed with not a single actor nor market lady on the street? Hahaha
I wonder if its enough for 1 missionary post to keep everyone cool on this map.
Would be a big forced walker loop though.
Crazy how putting garden on the city would lead to mass vacancy and thunderbolt your army to starvation.
You could place the Doctor and Barber, in your Villa area, by the last Oracle, near the market, and save the space on the other end for the Academy.
Under Augustus 3.0, Grand Temples give 6 Culture!

And I thought Blocking Wolves with aqueduct walls was cheesy. 🤣🤣🤣
The lion dome
Almost makes you wish the Romans did moats. Maybe I should suggest to the Augustus devs...

Pah~pulation.
Maybe try a super long force walker lion path around the whole city?
That could be cool. In the original I think walkers despawn after a while, gotta check how long they walk now in Augustus.
How come you never(?) rotate the map?
Sorry if you’ve been asked this a thousand times!
Great channel btw!
Thanks! I generally don't like rotating the map. It really throws me off and if I want to see something I use an overlay which I've hotkeyed.
I wonder Why not Caesar III game picture is on your UA-cam Channel Title, but Pharaoh ^_^
For the longest time I considered Pharaoh the best game in the series. Just haven't updated that image since Augustus has come out haha
I found a pretty cool game recently, its called "Kratoria" might want to check it out!
So you don‘t need any workers to live nearby anymore?
If you turn on the Global Employment option yeah, it works like Zeus and Emperor, but it's a toggle.
i like game. game is good ^^
Why don"t you spam prefects alomg your walls for more defense?
Probably cause prefect are not that good vs troop type enemy unlike lion tamer and gladiator. If I'm not mistaken the enemy that prefect can handle a bit better are the local uprising type and animal.
Anyone can provide the Augustus mods download link?
Link is in the description, go to Keriew's one, that's Augustus.
