I'm giving up trying to figure out how to install Augustus. I've just tried again following the instructions in the README file in the main download, no luck. It doesn't even have an augustus.exe file. It baffles me that they would put time into making this and not bother to make a video or even provide proper instructions for how to install it.
@@EuricoRoberto What do you mean it doesn't have augustus.exe? On this page: github.com/Keriew/augustus Scroll down to the blue download buttons. Download 3.0.1 and you get a zip file. Extract that zip file to your Caesar 3 install folder and run augustus.exe.
Awesome playthrough it has been! if you're not tired yet I hope you will follow-up with some bonus videos by using some of the best custom maps, for example Terror Romanorum from caesar3 heavengames.
@@Benzellio I don't think I'll ever be 'done' done with Caesar 3. Especially with Augustus, a year from now it could be a totally different experience.

As one door closes, many others open. Thank you for this playthrough, Zakh. This have been therapeutic for me since I'm having depression with all that's going on. Hopefully, you folks there are doing well. By the way Zakh, if you want a break from city builders, I have a proposal in mind: Try playing some grid-based strategy Japanese-made RPGs, I know the audience that you have are subscribed for your city builders and of course, Caesar 3, but you'll get to experience firsthand on what you might have missed during the era of the consoles. Hehehe. Always have a great day, Zakh.
Some custom scenarios would be a nice continuation afther the in game scenario´s like Lindum (Lincoln), Eboracum )York, Augusta Treverorum (Trier)Aquicem (Budapest), look for roman cities list, endless !
These C3 playthroughs get better and better as the years pass. I hope you never truly finish playing C3, maybe some custom maps from heavengames in the future? Not the really old ones though since they'll probably be incompatible with Augustus
I think Augustus really favors military maps, cause Masilia on max diffculty took me quite awhile to beat and was indeed quite difficult, but Lindum I plowed through in like 45 minutes and ended with 50k cash with all the important monuments built.
Culture gains were changed in Augustus 3.0. Now each Grand Temple grants 6 Culture, plus 6 for Colosseum and Hippodrome for a total of 30 points (assuming you built ALL 3 Grand Temples allowed AND Colosseum/Hippordome) and I must be forgetting one because I seem to remember that the total was 36. Not sure. In 2.0 it was 8 Culture for each Grand Temple for a total of 24.
The granary only SAYS "32" as max loads but can really hold only 24. I guess someone wanted to make warehouses and granaries look uniform but could not make it so 100%, so granaries remained at their original size (24 loads) and warehouses also remained at theirs (32 loads). I believe you should treat the "32" in granaries as "full load" and the various fractions of 32 as their counterparts of 24 (so, "8", which is 32/4 really means 6, which is 24/4, and so on).

I very rarely use them. Only if there's a massive map and you really need the speed, but for most cases javelins are fast enough and you can kite with them, so they're just better.
"Let the horsemen take the brunt (of the fighting)". I think of all the lines I've heard in this campaign that has to be the most non-Roman of them all. ;)

You should leave a space between the towers in order to get soldiers helping with the shotting
I prefer more towers because those bolts 1-shot enemies.
