    I asked in a later video what sort of food you ate, because you look amazingly healthy, and here it all is in this video, thank you!! Lots of fresh fruits and veg, meat and fish. Just accidentally found one of your videos and so glad about that. Loving them and totally knocked out with your skills. Now back to the video and learning more.

    I've been doing a bit of a binge watch.
    I like the content, the narration and the positive attitude.
    No one likes mistakes, but no use moaning about it.
    And why people would be negative is just affecting them.
    You are a teflon duck 🦆

    That’s fantastic news about “the crack” …that it’s really the lack of lintels and not the foundation. You’re doing great work. Thanks for another interesting and entertaining video!

      It is good news, just hope the quote is good next. Thank you, I hope I can keep the content more and more interesting and entertaining.

    • @JohnPValentine
      @JohnPValentine 3 роки тому

      @@rusticcrow Yeah, hopefully the quote will be reasonable! 🙏 If it’s a crazy amount, it seems like you could purchase steel lintels to install yourself, but of course, you would really want to make sure specs of materials are proper for the load and you’d really need to temporarily shore up the weight of the concrete roof using substantial falseworks or temporary posts of some type during the installation. It might be worth paying a structural engineer to inspect and tell you what exact materials are needed and to suggest a temporary shoring solution. But hopefully contractor can get it done for you at a reasonable cost and you can sip tea while you watch! 😎

    In the part of Australia I’m in rural properties must have a fire emergency plan, this includes what you’re doing along their boundaries , which we call a fire break. It’s got to be done annually, a lot of work but it does the job.

    You are very visually oriented to how things appear and work together. Wouldn't that rectangular tank structure make a nice dipping pool to cool off in during the heat of the summer? The trees look so much better without the brambles!

Not sure if it is just me or not, but perhaps a suggestion when panning around, try to do it a bit slower as when viewing that much motion it almost starts motion sickness. Hello Andrew , I'm finally caught up on all your videos and Subscribed. Please be careful going down into the well. Take the tractor down there with you and get a long rope to tie it to the tractor and around you , so if there is a cave in and you fall the tractor and rope will save you . Also call your brother to let him know you are going to work on the well and that you will call him when your done , so if he doesn't hear from you by dark to come look for you at the well.. I don't want anything bad happening to you. I'm like you when it comes to Christmas , I love to see my. grandkids enjoying it but it's not for me anymore , plus Christmas day is also my birthday, not looking forward to turning 60 this year . " *16:21** That seems a big cut* "
    " *How man centimetres was that cut can you tell me?* "
    Sorry I was sleepy, I meant to write:
    How many centimetres was that cut? The one we can see at that cork tree, at the minute 16:21
    People should avoid cutting above 15cm of diameter and not cut more than 1/3 of living branches (from this perspective it seems you cut half of them).
    I'm sorry to tell you this above, it's just because you seem to have a quite amount of cork trees (that's good) and it's advisable to learn good ways how to manage them before doing anything about them (they are protected by law)... good quality cork can provide you an extra income.
    Have a nice work

    • @rusticcrow
      @rusticcrow  3 роки тому +1

      The one branch was dangerously over hanging the house and part of it was dead. I assume the previous owner had damaged it and left it dangerously split right at that point. I took no chances, the dogs and I walk under it. These trees haven’t been maintained in yrs. A tree surgeon will trim all cork tress not me. So many dead branches, but still waiting for the guy to turn up. All the Cork trees will be properly looked after and hopefully as you say, get a small income every 8-10 yrs.

They're located further north in Portugal near Serta and are restoring the house on their property and starting to work their land. They also have a water tank similar to yours and made a few videos on it. They're called Eco and Beyond: ua-cam.com/users/EcoandBeyond
