    Hey 👋🏻 Andrew I just want to say, you do get on with your work on your land. Your living my dream. But going down that well on your own is dangerous. I know you are very careful. But gives me chills lol 😂. Just love everything you’ve done so far 😉

    It's all taking shape, even though I am wondering how long you can keep this pace up? Still there is nothing like accomplishing one's dreams to give you inspiration. You really are an enthusiastic achiever, Andrew, and such a pleasure to watch. Ever thought of trying to capture a sounder of swine? There are youtube video's on that, I am wondering if you are going to take a break at Christmas time. Looking forward to the next video. Take care.

    • @rusticcrow
      @rusticcrow  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Carolle, I’m actually keeping the pace at a comfortable level so I don’t put too much pressure on myself. The previous 5 yrs I was on it every day to get things done to tight schedules I set. There’s no schedule here just goals and I try to keep an even balance between getting things done and enjoying it. And of course taking time to step back and do other things. That’s really important. While it’s cooler it’s the best time to be on it.
      I’ll look up ‘a sounder of swine’.
      Christmas day And Boxing Day i’ll be chillin. We got rain coming so I’ll take that time to edit the previous houses vids I keep promising.

    Have you thought about replenishing the aquafier from the top, you have a lot of bare grund and when the Rain comes am not sure how much you get soaking into the earth to replenish the ground water, am sure you have planned a few permaculture swales in the future, and covering all that bare earth to get some soakage?

      No one has lived here for over 40 yrs. The sides gave way. Poor construction I’d say. The question is not if it has water but will it be strong enough and how damaged? Can it realistically be rebuilt… only one way to find out..

    nice work very hard mate, if was me I would remove concrete clean the metals out and all the soil loose, but I would not go hard like that exemple if the ring now are 2 meters an exemple I would put smaller cement rings up to level of the ground and around the rings pure gravel granite so I would create deposit outside the rings also filtering the water.

    Hi Andrew. Had a thought, why don’t you find a backhoe for the tractor. Your going to need one in the future anyway.

    • @rusticcrow
      @rusticcrow  3 роки тому +1

      I sold it. They are not practical as I discovered when digging the trench for the water and electricity pipes. Better off saving for a proper track digger that’s fit for purpose. One that can do full 360 and easy to manoeuvre. Attachments are really limiting and a pain to connect/ disconnect. Never again. Oh how lovely it would be to have all the right equipment… but it’s all about what I can afford. Maybe one day.
