Documentation only, if you dont own the vehicle with registration for the vehicle in hand, or budget brake and muffler/ other repair shop invoice, you get no money, but feel free to drop it off for recycling like a good citizen! Keep the junkies picking up cans instead of this shit

There is no way to trace a converter it’s like trying to trace a toaster there is lots! Scrap yards do their job and accept scrap.. it’s not their job to decipher who is a thief.. cars need better security and cops need to do their job

This happened in broad daylight on Spadina Ave then 45 minutes later on Bernard Ave. Fortunately the 58 year old was able to walk himself to the hospital just a few blocks away. The 80 year old I don't have any info on. These incidents appear unprovoked. Stay safe everyone

yeah but the catalytic converter business involves even car manufacturers. it's expensive to produce a catalytic converter, all that stolen material goes back to car manufacturers. if you think about it, they could secure the catalytic converters by replacing it and shielding it, but they won't.

Bastards. I live in the UK, i weighed in a small manky looking cat a few weeks ago not expecting much, but it was a factory original (albeit only from a 1.2 litre compact engine) and worth 69 GBP. Requirements were: registration number (license number if you like) photo ID and a bank statement as proof of address/bank details. Electronic payment took 3 days i think. I think however if it had been a shinier newer cat they would have wanted to see V5C (registration document). Lead-Acid batteries are going for about 5 GBP so if you've got a pile of them it's worthwhile here... The regs here have cut down on theft, but not deleted it altogether. ...there's always under the counter sales, ebay, boot sales and the rest.

Removing catalytic converter from cars to make quick buck is not right. It cause inconvenience to car owners. It can also be expensive. We have the right to defend our properties/cars from such bad people. The police force is thinned out in preventing this type of petty crime. One house under construction which have completed their wirings inside got the shock of their life. They found out their wiring were cut for the salvage value of the cooper wires. It was a major headache for the builder as they ultimately will absorb the cost.
Why should people not be able to sell catalytic converters because junkies steal them? That's like saying you shouldn't be able to privately purchase a cell phone or tablet cause junkies steal them. People need to start beating the fuck out of these clowns

when i was 10 or 11 someone wanted me to help them steal the stop sign on cedar ave and we did it in the day time, i had the sign at my place and i lived on coote street and i knew i couldn't sleep if i didn't return that sign because at that age even though it was only a small corner and a less busy area back then (i am 28 now) i brought it back later on that night like 1am i snuck out of my parents house with my dads tools and the sign and my skate board and i put the sign back up, i remember it so well because it was so hard to put that sign up in the dark being 11 years old by myself and balancing on my skateboard straight up and down while it was against the pole and using tools, it took me maybe 5 minutes just to put it up but i felt better because the stop sign was there for a reason. and the funny thing was is that i never seen the other guy again who wanted the sign so i think he was trying to get me in trouble but now that i think about it maybe he got himself into some other trouble. my confession for the day
