The people speeding isn't helping either. Between the zero visibility on one side and speeding on the other, this intersection has probably had a ton of accidents.
They seem a bit more wacky than chilled in Chilliwack. I wonder what the drivers would make of that intersection if it was a roundabout? Your videos are great! I feel for you, in that you have to live with such chaos. How do you get quality shots as you do? Do you use motion tracking, continuous recording, or motion-triggered? Reviewing thousands of seconds of video is a pain. I sometimes load the video into Audacity and look for peaks in sound to find activity, but recording audio is technically illegal without consent, so one has to be careful there.

I spent 13 years of my life in Vancouver/Lower Mainland, and hated every second of it (work kept me tethered to the place). Ive never been surrounded by so many deranged and personality disordered people in all my life, and I encountered them in EVERY socio-economic bracket. I’ve been rid of the place for three years. I’m now living in a small community up the coast, and it’s like being in heaven.
Ok, quite a few near misses, however it’s been my experience home owners aren’t trimming their hedges low enough. Some corners you have to nose into the cross street to see if anything is coming from either direction.
This corner could make a lot of money for the City Of Chilliwack. Some cameras should be placed at a level so that all license plates can be read. From there, surprise these assholes with a ticket or summons in the mail for careless driving etc.

I'm with Mike Jordan below. All over the lower mainland hedges are making it hard to see traffic coming from the sides. As well cars parked too near to the intersections have the same effect. Sometimes you have to poke your cars nose out so far just to determine if a car is actually coming or not. Let's face it, the people who enforce our bylaws and what needs to be done to make our roads safe don't have a clue.
It's an amazing place, this is just in one area, go towards the sardis side, everything is basically modern but it's very beautiful, very peaceful. Alot of wealth honestly, same with cultas lake, Ryder lake etc.
I lived on Chilliwack lake rd and had a hell of a time crossing the road to take my dog to the park, lots of logging trucks that don't slow down for anything..I do however miss the river and mountains and people

So what he did is that he contacted foreign embassies for foreign aid... The embassies agreed in aiding the small town. And once the foreign aid arrived at the Town to fix the bridge... Coincidentally the local politicians signed an agreement to fix it out of embarrassment. Search up "How a Foreign Country fixed a bridge in Virginia" its actually a good read... Even the Broker called ICBC and asked why the insurance was so high it was because my Driver factor was 1.17 and i was under 25, male living in Surrey with no experance. Surrey is a high crash risk area

I'm pretty sure I used to live a few blocks away. this was a couple years ago now, but me and my brother always called it crackawack due to the drug problems in the downtown area. crackheads setting up shop every night in front of the courthouse.
