  • Wide-ranging discussion of animation from overseas, chiefly Europe and Japan, and attempts to release it in American markets in the 1990s, including the home video and nontheatrical markets, cable TV, and the festival circuit. There is discussion of new formats and new technologies, with the then-new format of DVD being mentioned, as well as internet streaming. There are montages of European art animation, Japanese animation, and National Film Board of Canada animated shorts. The guests are: John O’Donnell, Managing Director of Central Park Media; John J. Graves, VP, Cinepix Properties; and Mary Jane Terrell, U.S. Marketing Mgr., National Film Board of Canada.
