    This is a great album to have blasting when you're driving down the highway.

    Why people compare this with Metallica??
    It's a totally different story, and you know what? It's good music.
    Jason felt the need to try something different and he did it.

      PaleBlueDot right??? James should have let him do his thing but kept him in the circle tho... why he felt threatened??? idk... but they shouldn't have let him go...

      Who’s comparing?

  • @JXNDRUMMER

    Jason is an artist. Artists like try different things and express themselves musically in different ways. I think comparing this to Metallica is not only stupid but giving Jason grief over him being creative and trying something new from everything he did for Metallica is totally disrespectful. I think Echobrain were great for what they did and it's great that Jason is still doing what he loves

    He left Ozzy after a short stint, then played with VoiVod for fewyears, did some gig with reality show/talent rockstar search, and now I think he is doing some new solo project.

    Jason gave up Metallica because James told him he wasn't allowed to have side projects.

      What’s it called…. Zero sum? Like Jason playing in this band was going to take over his duties with Metallica, and even if the band made it to a commercial platform, would that mean that it would be a liability for Metallica? Fuck no. Just because someone succeeds, doesn’t necessarily mean that you loose.

    They would have been huge. Metallicas management was in love with the band but James had to be a fucking baby. If this cam out in 95’ when it was ready it would have done really well.

  • @takerdust
    @takerdust 11 років тому +2

    Voivoid been around for about same amount of time as Metallica, and I don't believe Jason played with them even during Metallica's time off because they were touring like frigging madmen in the 90's.
    I would of just told James to F off and dared him to get rid of me if I was in Jason'[s shoes.

    And after this crashed and burned,he was talking to Flotsam again,but they were like,"nah,we're good,thanks!"...he did get a bullshit deal though.this actually wasn't bad for what it is.kind of Muse meets QOTSA.

    Funny that you say that because , other than the obvious reasons. One of the other reasons why Jason left was cause he did'nt like the direction Metallica were going in.

    "This sucks. Newstead sucks. blah blah blah" Yah because Metallica's crap from Black Album on has never wavered from Kill Em All. Give me a freaking break. If Metallica came out with this song, fans would be pissing their pants.

    • @Intervent89
      @Intervent89 8 років тому

      They would say Metallica - sold out. That exactly what "fans" would say. For me this song isn't bad. But tallica released a lot of good songs after 1991 - i can't agree with you.

    So... Metallica and then... this... Sounds like these guys gathered and thought "Jason Newsted is always mocked in Metallica in here he would be king so let's steal him". That came to be one of the best publicity stunts ever. Nice going Jason
