It’s crazy how 6 string basses are kinda reaching into guitar territory with the whole chord accessibility thing. I dig that wood. It’s perfect. The older I get the less flashy I like my guitars to be 🔥

Absolutely beautiful!!!! I'd only started watching your videos earlier this morning. And, yeah, I have subscribed. Everything that I've heard you play so far has brought tears to my eyes. Who would've ever thought that so much beauty could be brought out on an electric bass!!!?
Nathaniel Lollis Thank you very much! I am so glad that you are enjoying the music and that it has reached you emotionally. Thanks for watching and listening.
I recently add a freez pedal to my pedal board and I was looking for something very cool to play with it. This tune is very beatiful and I will give it a try. Thanks to you
Thanks a lot to you , your music was bring me to Comfy and Fucus zone , iam Forex and Stock trader and always get high adrenaline and need to be focus and your music help me really A lot .i was lucky to see your Channel ,. thanks a lot and cheers
Hendrik Gustiana thank you very much for your kind words. I totally understand the nature of a high-pressure job and needing to unwind from it from personal experience. I am glad that my music could play a role in the process thank you very much for listening.
Oo. I didint know bass guitar can sounds as this, really relaxing and beautiful. Yasually people do with bass guita rock or hevy, or someting more hard mucis.
Very beautiful song....I put my 6 string bass on a stand like that and it was cool until my bass fell off it. Any advice on how to keep my bass in that stand.
This video is great. Inspired me to get a 6 string bass, as well as reverb and delay pedals. I had always wanted them, but didn't know if they'd be practical. Still not sure about practicality, but knowing things like this are possible makes me not care. Great work!
So I went out and purchased a used Ibanez BTB. Wow it is hard to play that part at 2:14 on a 35" scale neck! I bet the stand helps to get your hand in there and bridge those last two strings.
Hey Damien! Would you mind sharing the order of how you have you Pedals lined up? I’m very curious which pedal you plugin in first and so on. Thank you in advance and Happy Holidays!
Hello Sean, I always put delay before reverb. I find that the reflections of the delay give a little bit more depth in the reverb. Typically, the only pedals I am using are delay and reverb. In this particular example, I believe I went through the EHX freeze then into the looper and then into the delay /reverb. Hope that helps. Happy holidays to you.
@@DamianCoccioDamian, I appreciate you responding. That’s exactly what I was wondering. Would you put your volume pedal before the Freeze had you used it for this recording?
@@DamianCoccio I didn’t really use pedals back when I toured the US, because my music didn’t really require them. Pedals are all new to me. I greatly appreciate your feedback Damian & thank you for inspiring me to pick up my bass again ❤️
Hello Jim, strymon has a lower cost reverb that is great called the blue sky. I also have a friend with the MXR M300 which sounded nice. I also use a stereo delay.
TheLeftundone I have switched from the ditto loopers over to the boomerang a couple years ago. The boomerang has a much cleaner sound and better quality construction.
You are awesome i love your work! Do you use guitar strings for 6th string? Can i use guitar strings for strings 5th and 6th in bass? Do bass pickups work properly in high notes ?
Hey Damian..... that Freeze Pedal.........does it freeze "a note" that you give it or are you sending it to the Looper....? very interesting..... haha Keep it Up Bud.....!! Love your Basses......all of them......You must own Fodera Stock....!! ♪♫ 😊 ♪♫
Hey Damian........back with another Question........I know we've been talking about some gear and such........I have been eyeballing the Strymon OB.1 Optical Compressor & Clean Boost Pedal......any experience with this one.......is it a Compressor AND a Boost Pedal and your Thoughts.....?
Brian, it is a very transparent compressor IME and it also can provide some gain/boost. I use it often. I used it extensively on my albums 'Waves of Spring' and 'Trial By Light'.
password 69 hello, thank you. I would have to analyze it and report back. I practice modes and scales with focus on major and harmonic minor regularly. However, when I am writing, I never think in terms of modes or any theory, I think only in terms of melody and the sounds I hear in my head and from the bass. It’s just like singing.
Rice Panday I would look for a peavey cirrus, they are well made, sound great and play well. Great used prices too. Good luck on your 6 string journey!
