E-Bike Question of the Day ⚡🚴 Do you prefer the Ride1UP Cafe Cruiser’s looks or the looks of a more traditional beach cruiser? Let us know in the comments below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
I just found out about this company about a month ago and it was love at first sight with this bike 😍 especially the blue version. Once i saw that color i was sold
Great review as always 👍 We have 2 Balboa E-Cruise's and they are marked for the boardwalks of So Cal. More of a trad beach cruiser frame. Defiantly prefer the looks of this CC! The only issue I have is the integrated rear rack being obtrusive. Throws the off contour lines.. And some buyers will never add a passenger or a keg of beer for cargo! Same price point as the Balboa, but R1U's are feature rich! Love that they introduced a 3" tire also, not a fan of the 4" fat. Now...where's the R1U trail/adventure bike to compete with Aventon and Juiced?
I've had this bike for 2+ months and have 540 miles on it so far, all walking trails up and around on a bluff. It climbs well for me (65 years old and 170 pounds). Very pleased with my purchase. One thing - Good luck finding a 3" knobby tire for it.
Thanks for the review, I watched this in anticipation of getting one in Denver's EBike Rebate program. Something I never saw in the reviews that one of the store techs accidentally figured out the same day I test rode: Holding the (-) button the speed assist selector panel puts it in 'Walk mode" where it will assist you very slightly in walking the bike around. Fun feature I hadn't considered at all.
I've got one of these on the way. I'm heavier than you, but it's also very flat here. It'll be my 1st e-bike. I also considered the Lectrix XP 2.0, but it was the
@@Leoninmiami Nice! It's much easier to assemble than some of their other bikes, but it's still good to have a helper. I think we've made a great choice with this one! Just make sure you use a good lock with it, and don't leave the battery in it when it's locked up for longer than a minute or two. Enjoy your Summer 👍
@@vonkruel Good point on removing battery! Most owners think because it is locked, (the battery) it's safe. I use the "line of sight" method rather than time away. My friends e-bike was stolen by cutting the public bike rack. In a few minutes away from the bike. Slipped the Kryptonite and bike right off. Most thief's don't want to steal an e-bike without a battery. Also a goo idea to remove or lock your seat!
this bike looks so good and it's very affordable for what it can do, I'd definitely get one when I'm done being a 20-something who doesn't quite deserve a throttle yet haha
😅 Sounds like you have always produced an Alsome bike. I'm still intrested in your XP Trike because of my disability . I'm looking forward too getting a trike and heading out across country at the age of 64 . Can't wait for all the fun. Be safe . ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😅😅😅😅. What a beautiful Spring .
Perfect timing for this video! I am about to put my preorder in for the blue version, though Ive been tempted to just go for the black to get it quicker. But I figured it gives me a little more time to do some research. Your video has definitely given me some confidence in this one. Super stoked! Coming in June 😄
I have a black low step got 6 weeks ago amazing bike. 31 mph when needed and great range. No hills in Fl but it’s slower off the line than my Lectric xp but is so well made and fast it’s amazing
@@idontgiveah00t im still waiting 😞 put my order in back in may and just got an email this morning that it is getting ready to ship next week. Bad time to put an oder in i guess, but looks like theyre back in stock so maybe you wont wait as long as ive been
I am looking forward to purchasing one of these bikes! I was wondering in your throttle only hill test, did you go into the controller settings and reprogram the throttle speed to its max speed setting or does that even matter? Nice work on your videos by the way!
Hi, I have an lectric XP and would like to upgrade I realized I don't use the fold feature and would prefer something more comfortable and versatile. After some research and watching of lot of your videos =), it's between the ride1up cafe cruiser and the RadRunner Plus The cafe cruiser is 10lbs lighter but.. What happens once you unlock the RadRunner Plus to class 3? RadRunner seems to have better battery management, more range.. more torque (very useful with an passager on a hill).. The cafe cruiser is soooo nice looking 😎 Being lighter, does it accelerate faster and does it maneuver turns better than the RadRunner Plus? Oh and.. will they fit inside my suv (pathfinder 2014) without taking the wheel out? Love your channel Keep up the great work 👍 🙏
The longer wheel base of the Cafe Cruiser makes it handle speeds and cornering well. However, that wheel base can make tighter turning more cumbersome.
Personally, id only go for the lectric if you think youll be using the folding feature a lot. I was strongly considering a folding bike (bigger than the xp2.0) but they were much more expensive than the ride1up and i didnt think it would be all that useful for me in the long run. I just put my order in for the cafe cruiser, but i see the core5 and the 700 are the most popular models in the FB groups
I really like the look of this e-bike, however I’m a step-thru kind of guy. So there’s that. haha Love this channel, to include your technical reviews. Your Hell Hole performance tests are epic. Should be Trademarked. LOL!
Can't go wrong either way. Cafe Cruiser is more pure cruiser; it's a very relaxed ride. Pace is a little more adaptable to cruising or leaning in and getting a good commute.
We'd be interested if Sondors wants to send us one. It's always worth sending them a message through email or social telling them you want to see Electric Bike Report review their bikes. Hearing from folks likes you goes a long way towards helping us get products in to review!
We just purchased two Rize Leisure step through. Specs are about the same. One more gear the Rize has 4 inch tires. I am excited they should arrive in June. Too bad batteries are so costly. The Rize can take two batteries for 100 miles of range. I tested several and I prefer the torque assist which feels like a bike.
He would see shorter stopping distances by keeping his butt on the seat and using the front brake more - that's where your stopping power is, just like with a motorcycle; and less skidding the rear tire. No, you won't go over the handlebars.
@typicalamerican4560 I could see how you might think that, but going over the handlebars isn't really something that happens unless you foolishly grab a handful of front brake. Source: I've been riding all kinds of bikes for 40 years and hundreds.if not thousands of racetrack miles on a motorcycle.
Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!

I think they should use the 750W, 100nm motor used in their LMT'D model since the bike is heavier and has a higher load capacity.

Where did this test take place? Looks like a great climate and terrain to ride
How much is this bike
Please test the Rize fat tires. 100 miles of range if you pickup the second battery is amazing.
How does this compare to the RadPower, RadRunner2 e-bike?
Good, honest review. Well done!
Thanks for watching!
How does this bike compare to the Blix Sol? I love aspects of both bikes.
Blix doesn't have suspension. Big looser
They are pretty different rides, but both are good in their own ways.
How is the stability? I find the LectricXP to be unstable at speed over 15mph. Is that caused by the small wheels on the xp ?
The longer wheel base of the Cafe Cruiser makes it handle speeds and cornering well. However, that wheel base can make tighter turning more cumbersome.
Unstable over 15? I don’t experience that at all on my Lectric xp.It’s a very stable ebike and regularly ride at over 20 mph.
How can i book this electric bike in India
Would you prefer the CORE 5 or this bike?
Should I get lectric xp 2.0 or the ride1up core 5 ?

Yo, you know they have step-thru versions of this bike, right? I'm planning on getting one myself :)
The color and style remind me of and old military motorcycle from WW2.
Can you review the priority e-coast ebike?
Nothing in the works on that one yet. Hopefully some day!
It's loud while on throttle. Are all e-bikes that loud? I would find it distracting on a peaceful ride.
This is shooting from the hip, but of all e-bikes we've tested:
Loud: 2%
Noticeable: 90%
Quiet: 8%
This is in the noticeable bucket as most are.
Ride1up cruiser or the Pace 500. Which should i get
Can't go wrong either way. Cafe Cruiser is more pure cruiser; it's a very relaxed ride. Pace is a little more adaptable to cruising or leaning in and getting a good commute.
Is the battery removable? I’m trying to get this to commute to work and would love to be able to charge it during my shift.
Yes it is!

Wow!
This or the core 5 for a first time e bike rider for casual use?
Core5 and 700 seems to be the most popular in the FB groups. But i love the look of the cruiser. It will be my first ebike as well!
I would buy one today if it had a right hand throttle and 4" tires....=))
What location is this?
We're in the St. George, UT area!
This or the pace 500.2 ?
They are quite different rides actually so it depends on preferences. This is a bit more of a beach cruiser feel, the other is sportier in handling.
@@ElectricBikeReport ended up getting the aventon level 2 thanks to your videos!
