What a great and insightful PSA! More people need to know there are safe spaces to share things, and I think this is an excellent opportunity to share that with the young ones out there! I work in the travel industry, where we are always doing training on human trafficking, and how to look for the signs. I had no idea that dentists were able to see signs of SA, so thank you for educating me and others.❤

I would assume that signs of certain eating disorders would be visible in the mouth too, specifically frequent purging. In younger patients, would that be reported too?
I'm not a dentist, but a therapist. Suspected ED would more likely be something to discuss with the parent. Mandated reports to CPS are really only for suspected or disclosed abuse or neglect of a child. If the youth disclosed that their parent was forcing them to purge, then you're getting into abuse territory and that would be a situation where you would be mandated to report
My neighbour has that and wakes me up through the night doing it as her bathroom Is on other side of wall to my bedroom, she does it a lot all day but she is very overweight so I don't get it.

How long could a person go with an infection in their mouth? Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I hold the record. Without being 100% on VA scale. I'm up a creek without a paddle. Trying to find a sympathetic dentist in Indiana is impossible. The infection started shortly after I started grinding my teeth during Covid. Any helpful advice?
I know that commenting on your video is a stretch but I really need some professional advice. The last year 1/2 my teeth have been decaying, cracking, and breaking off. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I floss, brush, and use mouthwash everyday, twice a day. I was really depressed during covid and almost never brushed my teeth from early 2020 to late 2022. I don’t know if I should just get all my teeth pulled and get dentures if if I should try to continue to get them fixed. I am already missing both of my top molars from the cracking and breaking. I’ve had my wisdom teeth removed long ago, but now I’m losing the teeth in the very back. They’ve began cracking and breaking off at the cusps. It’s caused deep holes in my teeth and because of my pregnancy I’m unable to get any surgery right now. I feel like giving up but I miss my smile so much. Is there anything I can do???
Have you asked your doctor about a possible calcium deficiency sometimes, pregnancy can cause that😊

What is SA?
Sexual assault as far as I know. Although I feel it should also be used for sexual abuse but I guess You Tubers use SA to stand for sexual assault. Both terrible things.
