I don’t mind that my teeth are a bit crooked. It adds character. The juice ain’t worth the squeeze when it comes to making your teeth PERFECT, especially in America- I’ve been talked into getting my teeth fixed SEVERAL times and something has gone wrong ALWAYS. It’s just too expensive. If something unhealthy happens like an impacted tooth, needing a root canal, cavities, infections, etc. happens of course I’ll fix it yeah, but needing perfect straight white teeth just ain’t a priority for me right now. I’m not spending a cars worth on money for something that isn’t life threatening

Just think, PERFECT dentures people know you have fake teeth. When they make them with a tiny bit of imperfections, then they look natual.
you think like me. i have terrbile teeth apperaance, but my teeth are healthy, thats what matters, i likely dont have space in my jaws for perfect straight teeth, but im healthy and thats what matters.
I eventually got braces because flossing was just annoying with my crowding, but yes I’ve had that same mindset too
if u can chew and eat fine then i see no reason to get braces. braces are costly and a tough experience
The worst dental experience I've had is not realizing I was grinding my teeth in my sleep. It started after experiencing a traumatic event. By the time I had it figured out, I had lost all of my back teeth. Now I need to have them replaced.

Gotta say, I appreciate finding Bentist. Helped me understand and discuss how the Invisalign will work for my teeth to fix stuff like tmj pain.
I once had a tooth infection and attempted to remove the tooth myself, it required stitches to repair and my dentist was slightly upset over it. Also I was unsuccessful.
I had to get a veneer replaced yesterday. One I’ve had for like 7 years that just chipped randomly. My dentist was able to get me in next day and in and out in half hour :)

I wish I could find a dentist like you. I have severe issues with my teeth having no enamel on them and I hate going to the dentist because they always make me feel like my tooth deterioration is somehow my fault! I feel like you wouldn't judge and would make me feel comfortable and better about my issues!

Idk how I found your channel but I absolutely love it and can’t stop watching! It’s your personality it just shines through to your watchers! Also proves the government is listening us because I’ve had lot of dental work recently to get crowns and partials and boom dental videos start popping up in my feed 😂
I am thankful that my dentist has a few movies you can choose from to watch while you get your cleanings and whatnot, so I dont have to play the eye contact game
With HD, the "perfect teeth" are even more horrifying. I can't tell you how many times I have lost the plot of a movie because I couldn't get over the glaring white teeth. I love vintage movies, and watching Charlton Heston in HD is hilarious - keep expecting those dentures to pop right out lol.

At 5:07 The surgeon I went to when I had my wisdom teeth removed didn't even stitch shut the gums, so after 10+ years, I've been having to deal with food getting lodged deep in to my gums. My dentist said that the surgeon screwed up badly.
Yikes! I dont have anything like that, but i noticed after my own wisdom surgery that if i have anything too sour or too sweet get into the corners of scars on my bottom gums, it'll trigger the nerves and cause my entire jaw to seize up in pain for a moment. I wouldn't call it botched because nerves can be strange and unpredictable, but man is it inconvenient
Hey bentist I always had white teeth until I had my braces, we noticed after they were taken off. The place I went to wasn’t that great (even cut my lip open) so I was thinking that they grinded off too much of my enamel (at least what dentist thought) my dentist still doesn’t know what caused it. Was wondering what you thought.

The trick i use whenever i go to my orthodontist is that i just close my eyes and listen to his instructions such as smile, open your mouth etc. This helps me deal with anxiety,

Why I do is close my eyes and focus entirely on singing a song in my head. I’m talking imaging myself singing every single note with all the flair

As someone who hated the dentist my whole life. After having all my top teeth pulled out and not being able to wear dentures. I had to get an implant supported denture and now I regret not just listening to my parents and dentist growing up and just take care of my damn teeth.
I recently got dentures. I tried using those adhesives (first the paste, then the strips), but i cant handle how it sticks to the roof of my mouth. I have a hard time getting it off, snd it tastes nasty!! I also cant handle eating with them in. Chewing is fine, but im not able to swallow for some reason.
I remember being very afraid of the dentist, I avoided going for years, until I finally learned what happens when you ignore a cavity for too long and learned the true meaning of pain.

I had two cavities filled and when they drilled my teeth the anesthesia didn’t kick in until after it was done, I got injected at least 3 times, I had complications afterwards for months and could only eat on one side.
I feel like the colours of water flossers if they’re white, I feel like they will stain more easily so I think other colours might be better. By the way, I think the teal looks nice. But putting white as an option I think is a good idea because everyone has there own preferences.

1:34 I had this happen to me with a crown on the tooth. The whole left side of my face overnight swelled up, and I had to go to the er cause we didn’t realize it was an abscess. Finally we went to the dentist, and got everything fixed
I wore braces and underwent several different methods to not only straighten my teeth but also deal with my "open bite" (I´m German and don´t know how it´s called in English) and even had a jaw-surgery to close it. At the end I could decide if I want to continue to wear braces or if I want to be done and get a retainer. You can guess what I chose and when my dentist asked me once if it would be possible to remove the retainer so that I would be able to easier clean my teeth in between the spaces I just said, the retainers are there for a reason.

The water floss video was me last night 😂 using my new Something Nice water flosser in lavender. I had water everywhere but I used it 3 times today and it’s amazing I have braces so instead of me flossing and using the fuzzy teeth pick things every time I eat it’s amazing to use in between meals and in the morning and night but also still flossing too can’t forget about that.
Man, Those x-ray brackets hurt me BAD! Well specifically when I was starting the process of getting my dentures. My teeth were so bad most of them were broken off just above the gumline, I looked like I had a bad meth addiction. It was soo painful when I had to hold the heavy bracket between my broken ass sensitive teeth, and they had to re-shoot one x-ray. That and the cord packing in gums to get an impression were the most painful parts of getting my dentures, and that includes getting my teeth pulled in 2 sessions, all but 8 on the bottom front. Having my dentures, I can actually eat what I want again, and not worry about if its too hard to break my teeth (breading on chicken and pizza crust were some of the things that were too hard). I can talk, smile, and laugh without worrying about covering my mouth, or people seeing my teeth and thinking I'm a meth addict. I actually cried a little the first time I saw my new smile. All of my problems came from not taking good care of my teeth, and having bad teeth in the family. TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH!

Every time I go to the dentist for my 6 monthly check, he asks me "do you brush and floss regularly?" And I say "yes" and he says "I can tell" its great. I love going to the dentist and my teeth always feel AMAZING afterwards. Best feeling every. I learned the dentist didn't have to be uncomfortable, let alone painful if I took very good care of my teeth in between visits.

If biting down on those xrays hurts alot and on roof your mouth its good possibility you have a growth on your pallette. Quite common. I was in my 30s when found out i had one n why biting down on that thing for xray hurts so dang much. Roof of my mouth feels like a big knot instead of flat

I have a dental question 🙋♀️
So I got a bottom molar removed recently and my dentist recommended that I do a bridge. So me not knowing anything whatsoever about dental things said “ok” and he ended up taking a mold of my bottom molars with this blue clay stuff, did a bone graft and shoved a fake tooth into my open wound were my other tooth used to be. (I’m guessing this was the temporary) He then proceeded to put this glue on my teeth, including the two good molars next to the fake one, to keep the fake one from falling out. They said the fake tooth is pretty fragile so I can’t eat hard stuff.
I’ve been watching some videos on bridges and honestly I’m really nervous. I don’t really want him to shave my other molars and I’ve heard peoples teeth are very sensitive and stay that way after they get them. Not to mention the rot I’ve seen that bridges can cause that can lead to you losing the other 2 teeth.
Would you recommend that I go on and get the full and complete bridge? Or is there possibly another alternative that isn’t an implant with the metal rod because those are way to expensive for me 😣

What are good veneer places you recommend I'm 28 and I have never liked the idea of braces although my oral hygiene is good i brush twice a day and floss once i still want straight teeth i recently had my wisdom teeth removed and still having sensitivity to the back but I do plan on getting veneers

When I was little I picked my gums where my molars are at until they bled. I also picked at the top left side on my gums so much but (gross warning) THE SKIN WAS STARTING TO BLEED AND IT ALMOST CAME OFF IN A HUGE CHUNK. I did not take good care of my teeth when I was littler😭😭

My dentist told me to never use mouthwash. He said only use mouthwash if you have something specifically wrong that mouthwash can be used to treat it with. Otherwise his best advice for mouthwash is to throw it down the sink.
