hey i have an question to ask it really bothers me. i just bought the samsung t7 touch for my ps4 pro and the workers in Mediamarkt told me that it wouldn't make a difference because the ps4 pro is max 600mbs per second and the t7 touch is 1000mbs per second so they told me that i don't need it because the ps4 doesn't support the 1000mbs per second. so my question is does the t7 touch make a huge difference with load times and download speeds?
I installed the Samsung evo and ot says to plug in your controller and hot ps button but nothing happens any idea why I even tried other cables and controller is fully charged
Considering the ps4 cant fully use the ssd speed you can literally buy any ssd and wont notice a difference from each other, although they all will be faster than the hard drive. If you were using them on a pc on the other hand, you will actually see some difference. I guess you are just trying to get some money through affiliate links tho. Btw, external SSDs are the worst on a ps4, if you actually want to have faster speeds you need an internal one.
What about the kingston cd500r. There's a read-centric and mixed-use... any difference there? I can score a ALMOST 4TB for very cheap. Wondering and can't find difference that would make it useable for a gaming console. I'm not too savy
@@_mylastname As I said before, the ps4 doesnt fully use the ssd speeds so you can go with the cheapest one that you can find and you wont really notice any difference compared to the expensive ones. On the other hand, if you want to use it on a pc or maybe the ps5/seriesx then focus on speed as those can actually utilize those ssd speeds. Also, if you want to install it on a ps4, make sure is an internal one and not those external ones, as the external ones will bottleneck way more with the usb ports

LISTEN!!! I’m gonna say right off the bat that I’m new to this realm of storage devices. I’m simply trying to find the best bang for my buck when it comes to upgrading my PS4 Slim and its Venus day long loading times. However, I’ve been doing my research for about 2.5 hours and I know what I should do. I strongly considered the T5 after watching this video. BUT, the T5 has half the speeds of the other SSDs listed because it requires a USB Type-C connection (something that is not on the PS4, which has a USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 connection) to reach its full speed potential. I will instead be purchasing the Samsung 860 Evo 500GB. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE RANKINGS!!! The T5 is not the BEST SSD for the PS4. There is much more significant performance from other SSDs that are better equipped for the PlayStation. NOTE: the T5 will work with the PS4, but it will not reach speeds anywhere near 540mb/s simply because it is optimal for devices that support USB Type C.
Any cheap SSD will do. The PS4 is limited and bottle necked because of SATA II and mostly, Sony bottle necked it on purpose so that the rest of the system functions can operate with a certain speed. I bought a "SP A55" SSD, 512gb's for $33 dollars even and it loads games just as quick as the Samsung Evo videos found here on UA-cam.
If you just want to have more internal storage, instead of external. That an SSD is slightly faster is just a bonus, even if it doesn't use the full speed capacity.
You could still buy a new ssd, install it in the ps4, get a separate external harddrive or flash drive with a couple free gigs, download ps4 software from website on pc, put that on the flash drive and then install it in the ps4. You won't have your old stuff, but you'll have a functional ps4.
Wha brand drive did you use?? That sucks. That’s what I’m afraid of cause I’m really thinking about upgrading my internal hard drive. Fkn cod takes up so much space.
I had the Seagate fire cuda 2 terabyte and it crapped out on me after two years. Now I have a 90 gb sata to replace it. I wouldn't buy it again, I might try a really ssd instead of a hybrid. Even with less storage. Load times are definitely better with ssd or hybrid. The hybrid definitely disappointed me with the life of it.
It will help with load times. It also being a bigger storage it might help a little with lag but it also depends on other factors i.e internet etc. It will not help you with fos as in trying to pull your ads speeds . It's more for loading the game n running faster
A lot of reviews list the Samsung 860 EVO, so I think I will try that one. The hybrid price have a better price, but I want speed and performance more.

The only reason to get an external ssd is if you already have an internal ssd that is reaching capacity lol
Do an ssd boost online experience or performance? For example input delay or response. Or even FPS and quality.
