Such a shame what happen, looks like PKMN Gaiden just provided easy to access and free fun but that no good for the event, right? u_u hopefully you still had fun tho 🙏🙏 ( btw loved the new frame on the video *_* )
Thank you! The dumbest thing is that overall free fun things is exactly what visitors want, so in the end närcon is really just hurting itself by disappointing visitors who love pokemon, and they miss out on having a group arrange free activities *for* them so they don't have to do it themselves. Oh well, I'm hoping they'll change their mind for the next convention!

I was really sad about Pokemon Gaiden not being at Närcon this year.
I heard that there was som sort of conflict with some of the people in charge of PG and Närcons board group but i don't have any good evidence to back that up with so take that with a grain of Nacli.
I've actually got more info than I presented in the video!
There's no real "conflict" other than pkmn gaiden feeling upset that they couldn't come out of the blue, and when they asked närcon why and how they can improve if/where there's a problem, närcon at first only gave vague non-answers like "oh just not enough space, too bad". Only for närcon to then *afterwards* contact *sellers* and asking them to come (they declined though) because they hadn't filled up all rooms. So närcon clearly had space when claiming not to. So if there is a conflict it's on närcons side and they won't say why or what it is.
Närcon also got caught telling upset gaiden fans who emailed them about it that they were denied a room probably because of "a lack of popularity, quality and being bad at communication" none of which was true, and if they really thought that they should have told gaiden when they asked how they could improve. Very weird actions by närcon, although I suspect since a lot of them are young unpaid workers who aren't trained nor have the mental maturity they kinda just don't know how to deal with customers/people etc and they don't understand that they're essentially slandering pkmn gaiden out of ignorance when answering like that.
There was drama just the other day where people demanded their money back for the inadequate/dangerous sleeping rooms and the närcon admin passive-aggressively just said "well if we're not good enough for you just get a hotel next time then" and refused to give them any money back, despite having accidentally forced dog allergic people to sleep in the same room as a service dog. Allergies are no joke, it can *severely* affect someone's health! Incerdibly poor behaviour, and again proves their imaturity and lack of ability to deal with real people.
Eventually the founder of närcon answered gaiden himself and gave a non-apology like "sad to read about your experiences." Yeah I bet you are, since it paints närcon in a very bad light! He still didn't apologize though.

I really love the Pokemon Gaiden room so i hope that they eventually get invited again.
I really love närcon as well but they really do have some management problems.
