This was a great review, a shame that you used a more basic Huion model, I believe the Wacom Intuos 18 direct competitor is Huion H640P. I think it would be a fairer fight, but still, your points were fair. A great review as I said.
Didn't expect you'd pick Huion in the end despite you seem to point out more about Wacom's pros, then again; I like the honest take that "everything comes down to preferences". I frankly don't usually watch comparisons between Huion or Wacom because it's always the price of Huion or the "value" of Wacom became the main (and quite biased) factor for the conclusion on which tablet/brand is best; but yours nailed the pros/cons well and stated its your preference. I think if We're a begginer, lets pick huion. Because everything when start we have to exercise very much and then get money from them. If you have much money, lets buy a wacom expensive when its your job. Begin from a wacom expensive is a waste if digital Art is just your favorite.

The fact that these two tablets can stand toe to toe despite the price points says something. If anything, it''s a nod to Huion for how competitive they are with their current line up. (I have only used a huion ) I think huion is the best because it’s cheaper and it is pretty solid product in its own right. I have the hs610 it’s fairly decent in size it has a ton of buttons and it feels solid. for only 65 usd it’s a steal

I switch between photoshop and illustrator mostly all the time. To me, having application specific hotkeys are important. However, Huion only have global hotkeys.

ellexo I don’t have the huion now but I did have it until December. It worked perfectly. There is some smoothening though so use it with the hawku drivers with the anti smoothening filter and you should be good to go.
Hey, thanks for the video. I'm using huion and I'm a bit concerned with a pen nib. Mine is moving back and forth when I draw and its not that comfy for me. Is it normal for tablet pen or mine is defective?
The only movement the nib should be having inside the pen is a spring-like motion. It should not be moving side to side, and if was like that when you took it out of the box, I would recommend contacting support to get a replacement.
Huion is for beginners and hobbyist and wacom is for pro artist . I mean I admit wacom is better but very expensive . I bought huion hs64 because I am a beginner and I don't want complicated drawing tablet and I always play game like OSU too .

It’s just cheap enough that beginners can pick it up to start getting a bit more serious, and enthusiasts and pros can pick it up when they need something more portable and prefer a pad tablet. Brand means nothing when it comes to skill level, which is why I didn’t bring it up.
I wonder if one of those more matte (anti-glare?) screen protectors would help with the iPad's feel, I messed with one at a store and disliked the feel as well.
The wacom one is a pretty decent tablet, but I don't know where you'd get a new one without paying out the butt. If you want something simple, i'd suggest the h430p

Actually yeah. Like I said in the video, you can easily use the h430p as your main art tablet. The drivers are a bit more limited than wacom but you get what you pay for. If youre looking at buying it, I say pull the trigger.

Not really, I just draw heavy. The nib looks worn like that because of how hard I press the nib onto the surface. And even if they did wear fast, it comes with replacement nibs inside the pen.

Im not sure what you mean by smoothing? Something like that usually resides in the art program itself haha. There is something in the driver that causes a bit of lag called windows ink. Turn that off, and you will experience less lag for sure.
You might consider buying an incandescent bulb to use for your video lighting or adjusting your shutter speed, the banding on your video is really distracting.
Yeah, I might consider going back in time almost two years to use an incandescent bulb instead of an LED bulb that refreshes faster than my old camera could record. I know how it works, just had to use what I had available to me at the time. People learn from their mistakes , and I have better equipment now. The difficulty comes in when I have to find the time to research, record, edit, and upload new videos.
@@stavroskoul119 I would personally recommend a tablet by a company named Veikk (the s640), the response time of the s640 is a lot less giving it a better experience for playing Osu! but the h430 is also a good option. In my opinion the s640 is the best bang for the buck Osu! tablet.

Colossal I would review it, but I can’t afford it at the moment. Doing these reviews usually come out of my pocket, as I have not been contacted by anyone to do them for free. That’s why the videos have been slow new ones coming at some point, it’s just slow.

Causing me to wonder what you really want me to know, the tablets, or, how much you know that is unrelated to the review. Suggestion: winging it isn't as good as planning it. So, next time, plan it...if you want to either compare or review...or something more expansive, such as talk in depth about something. Also, too much of your viewing time was your playing with the old Wacom. Rambling.
I did plan this video! In fact, I spent a couple months planning it, filming it, researching it, and comparing the two together, not to mention the time to write the script! Coming back to it after five or six years, I understand that it wasn’t the best put together review, but I did AT LEAST take my time with it. When I speak about other products, I’m often using them as comparison for the product I’m currently reviewing, hence talking about my older Wacom and how it was able to bare the elements in a storage room for years, harkening back to the the reliability of the brand. The negatives I open with are most likely related to how I felt about the cheapest tablet they offered in comparison to their older products, speaking about the new pen as well as the removal of the eraser from their pens. At the end of the review, I simply stated that it depends on preference, saying the Huion is better for osu, and the Wacom was better for art. This point has been brought to my attention in past comments, so I am privy to this information. That being said, I appreciate any constructive criticism to improve my videos! I apologize the video wasn’t up to your standards, I only really do UA-cam as a hobby.

The wacom comes with manga studio pro which is a 49 dollar software whichs is good, for that alone you should get the wacom less headaches.
Photoshop CS2 is free to download and legal.

The programs that the Wacom gives for free are full licenses, meaning you don't have to worry about the license expiring at all.

I chose this video to have you compare them. You STARTED with negative comments about the Huion before even beginning to do anything, Initially, that tells me your mindset and what I can expect to hear...which is NOT an unbiased comparison. You can do better if you think about what you're going to do...including try to be unbiased.
Then, you went on to talk about products you aren't reviewing. Causing me to wonder what you really want me to know, the tablets, or, how much you know that is unrelated to the review. Suggestion: winging it isn't as good as planning it. So, next time, plan it...if you want to either compare or review...or something more expansive, such as talk in depth about something.
Also, too much of your viewing time was your playing with the old Wacom. Rambling.
I did plan this video! In fact, I spent a couple months planning it, filming it, researching it, and comparing the two together, not to mention the time to write the script! Coming back to it after five or six years, I understand that it wasn’t the best put together review, but I did AT LEAST take my time with it.
When I speak about other products, I’m often using them as comparison for the product I’m currently reviewing, hence talking about my older Wacom and how it was able to bare the elements in a storage room for years, harkening back to the the reliability of the brand. The negatives I open with are most likely related to how I felt about the cheapest tablet they offered in comparison to their older products, speaking about the new pen as well as the removal of the eraser from their pens. At the end of the review, I simply stated that it depends on preference, saying the Huion is better for osu, and the Wacom was better for art. This point has been brought to my attention in past comments, so I am privy to this information.
That being said, I appreciate any constructive criticism to improve my videos! I apologize the video wasn’t up to your standards, I only really do UA-cam as a hobby.
@@GreatJobStudio I had to get an entire medical command trained and ready for deployment to Afghanistan, plus teach minor surgical procedures to new captains. I tripped over my own two feet a lot! ...what one might call "a learning experience!!"
