2013 and older is different. For my 2013, just pull inside latch once. Find outside lever -- near middle of hood but slightly to your right -- and push it UP. When it finally opens, you look at the latch and say, "?!? But that looks so easy. How could it be any simpler?" lol
2013 directions above will work on multiple older years, but still older models at some point may have a different technique.

This is exactly why I made the video because that's exactly what I said to my wife. Bro I could still remember standing in the garage scratching my head trying to figure out how to open the damn hood.
It literally says “2x” on the hood release.
i have a question within the car, the thing to open the hood is sticking out😂i just started driving and i never seen this before while driving. I asked a friend a mine who works on cars and he said the wire attached to the thing to pull out for the hood snapped. My question is, is it a easy fix or would i have to go to a mechanic?😭
Unfortunately my friend I have no idea, I know how to open her but I don't know how to fix it.
I will probably take it to the dealership and see what they have to say .
