Also for anyone looking at the B48 engine. Between January 2014 and February 2015 there was a crankshaft bearing fault which really effected the engine. Make sure you get confirmation that the engine was rebuilt or replaced if you look at a car within that age
Just bought a 2014, mfg in June 2014…. Engine replacement is not in the carfax. Nhtsa says my car doesnt have any open recalls. However I notice a slight imbalance that’s intermittent. Should I be concerned? Is it easy to ask Mini if this car has been repaired and maybe it was left off carfax?
Two best options that were not discussed are, pan roof absolutely essential and adaptive cruise control which is simply phenomenal. More spec, more cost but better saleability when you come to swap. 😎

I had a MCS and it had the heated seat elements in the seats but no button. If you feel under your seat and there is a cable hanging then you have the heated seats, all you need to do is fit the button (dremel drill and eBay are your friends) then you have the heated seats. I don’t believe you have to get it mapped for the seats but if you do Amazon have a bunch of Bluetooth OBD readers for the mini.

@@shantytownbrown Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I have had 3 minis and 2 of them f56 jcws. Both had the door issue and I was told the rubbing was caused by bad motor mounts allowing the extra movement / flex in the body. Any truth to that? I replaced both f56 motor mounts.
I got a 2014 Cooper S (F56), and was wondering if it would benefit me to replace the stock air intake and get a Mishimoto Cold Air. Can't find a K&N that'll fit a 2.0L, and also any recommendations for cat-back exhaust system? I only came across Flowmaster and Magnaflow.
@@any1989-FL so the air intake doesn't affect performance a lot. Mainly a new intercooler will help more. For the best cat back system just get a mid box delete works really well !

From what I have read on forums, it can be done either from a BMW dealer and aftermarket but it is pricey 1k+. What I understand is the Mini’s are made to spec and so if a spec option is left out then it’s not built into the car. That being said, I don’t know if any of this is 100% accurate, just what I read.
