One of the best knives I’ve ever owned , absolutely love it. Have 2 of them. It’s the perfect gift to knife lovers, a EDC knife , don’t go camping without it.
I have the small version that I keep in my hunting pack. That jimping up front is good for detail work when field dressing or skinning a deer. I think I’m going to pick up this bigger model. I have some nice hunting knives, including other Bucks. I really like this style because it’s grippy when you are cold, wet and in the dark, and you are dressing a deer. Then you can throw it in the sink and clean it up and not ruin a nice handle. I see these types of knives like I see my Glock. It aint pretty, but it is effective and reliable. Nice review.
You forgot to baton it through an anvil with a sledgehammer. Run over it with a bulldozer, shoot it and set it on fire. Other than that, it looks built for what it's supposed to be, a great knife.
Had a Buck 102 Woodsman attached to my kit in the Army. It was an excellent field knife- SO excellent, a family member stole it! 😏 I've been researching fixed blades for a bit, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to replace my Hunter with this one... In fact, if they'd had the Pursuit when I was in, I would've bought THAT instead! Great vid- subbed
You're worried about the tip on the buck 119 special??? Go watch Joe x video. He stabs it through a car door a 100 times and it's fine. Go watch the video it's awesome.
Spoken by someone who clearly knows nothing about Bucks 420HC, it's the best knife steel in my opinion. Very tough, holds an edge amazing and not prone to chipping like most of the harder steels such as S30V, D2 etc

The blaze orange is a good color, but the olive drab appealed to me more.

Woooooooooooooow. Buck 4-eva
My favorites! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Removing the 90 degree spine is easy enough. A decent knife , but not remotely a great knife with 420 "HC" .

I also have the blaze orange version of this in S35VN and prefer the 420HC for overall toughness/everyday use
