Can you please actually make a keyboard for gaming while I should be studying. (perhaps it could look like a gaming keyboard, but when your mum comes in you could quickly hit a lever or button or something that will turn off the lights/make it look normal and open like a Wikipedia page on quantum physics or something like that.)

you can get keycap sized grip stickers called supergrip made by pulsar. theyre insanely grippy and slightly squishy. it feels great on the spacebar and alt key, no more sharp edges! the mouse grip tape made with the same material is also really good

well, building a _normal_ keyboard is easy, but something like this might be a bit more difficult lol
If you aren't too picky about layout, then building a keyboard is easy. Just buy a hotswap keyboard kit, switch, keycap and then assemble it together. I have one such kit and assembling them is almost as easy as Lego
I actually did exactly that, I’ve just watched this guy and I built 2 keyboards for my friends 💀

For the people genuinely wanting to stay hydrated while at their desk, i recommend just buying a big 2L bottle or flask, and filling before you go and sit, i personally also have cup next to me so i don't have to drink directly from the bottle. Just be careful not to spill if you're a clumsy person.

No joke, if you want grippy keycaps, you can get those grip stickers used for game controllers. Gonna be pricy AF but it would actually do that
or, just be smart and grab some clear grip tape and stick it on top of the keycaps. Stays see through, is cheap and all you need to do is cut and paste and replace if it wears down too much
or just buy those rubber kewycaps
I use sandpaper on the brake leavers on my bike and while my friends think it is way to rough I got used to it really quickly and it has slightly worn down which makes it nice and grippy even with sweaty fingers but also not sharp.
Sandpaper in general feels only really abrasive or gritty to touch for lower numbers/Grit. Anything above 400 grit isn't really much of an abrasive to human skin.
VIDEO IDEA:
There is a museum in Boston, MA called the MIT Museum. In the very beginning of the museum there are some interactive pieces where you have to type some text and by the way you type they can tell if you will have Parkinson's disease. Anyway, they have some decent costum keyboards that they have for the typing. There is also staff there that is like always open to any question that people might have so I was thinking you turn it into a sort of vlog and you go there review the keyboard and just start asking the staff questions about the keyboards. The staff there btw has a sense of humor so I think they will play along.

Basically make a cage instead of a huge bottle that 100% Doesn't leak
just get one of those flat plastic bottles and stick it underneath the Keyboard case with some Double sided (or VHB if you are based enough) and there you go.

You could make this work by changing the housing to hold a flask of water that can accommodate a straw. So you fill the flask with water, slide it into the cylinder under the keyboard and the straw points up so when you want a drink, you just lean forward and sip from the straw. No worries about leakage or microplastics from the print, and if you use a thermos your beverage can stay cold all day!

I actually like the idea of a water reservoir in a keyboard but 3 points that would actually make it worth it for the user, 1 cooling thewater will get really hot really soon were i live, 2 usability, i don't want to lift my already 1kg keyboard+ another kg of water to just dring or poor in a cup, idk how bit a need for way to poor the water without lifting the keyboard, 3 design,it doesn't really need to be round tbh

im trying to get into the keyboard scene, i have a k65 that wont die, but i think i might need that bottle board. glarses company really putting in that work.
Honestly I would have done like a water cool set up kind of thing by attaching the keyboard to those big water dispenser and have a close or open with a hose that looks like it is on a headphone holder/ mouse cord holder contraption thing so that it is elevated and then put a cup under it and just twist the valve or instead of a valve but a button but IDK how to do that. And that way you can water cool your RGB keyboard for brighter lights. Blinding even at intervals to remind you to drink water, or you will go blind. You drink water, and it will dim down until you need to drink more water.
