The consumption matches what I have reached driving around Stockholm with my ID.7 on 20" but the same ECO tires like on this car. Yesterday I used my ID.7 to drive to work and on the way back, 40 km driving to Munich from the south west to west and traffic like here, I managed to reach 9.5 kWh/100km with an average speed of 61 km/h. The ID.7 is crazy good. It beats my Cupra Born on 18" and the ID3 I had by almost 1 kWh/100km.
I was just reading an article about the car at Golem and knew, that you might have been at the same event. And here is the video. Well done, perfect timing.
the 1000 km challenge is going to be pretty interesting, probably 3 charging stops instead of 4 and faster charging, so maybe 10-15 min less than the ID.7 Pro.
Very impressive for such a big car. Hopefully VW decide to sell these here in Australia. Although we don't even get the ID4 yet so I'm not holding my breath.
The german UA-camr Carmaniac drove this car over 610 km on the Autobahn with a constant speed between 140 and 160 km/h, except for 20 minutes Stau. Time: 5.40h minus 20 minutes for Stau is 5.20h. The car used over this trip 20,4 kw/h with these high speeds!
Seems to be really efficient with 19” and with the largest battery the range is really good with good aerodynamics. Likely the ID7 variant with the longest range. I have the tourer with 82/77kWh battery and 19” and it should have slightly less range. But im not so shure many people will need the largest battery with sedan and 19”. The larger battery would be needed more in ID4 but i dont think it fits. ID7 GTX tourer with 21” really need the big battery

Yes, according to VW's german configurator 235/50 R19 front and 255/45 R19 back. That's called "staggered tire setup" and is, nowadays, often used with cars that have RWD - or AWD with more power on the back motor.
This has to do with the diameter/circumference. The 235/50 R19 has pretty much the same diameter as the 255/45 R19 tire, about ~00.8% (~5mm) difference.
The inside of that car is darker than an unlit coal mine - why do car makers offer such dark interiors? My Mini Countryman S E at least has the glass roof blind I can open to let some light into the black and grey interior but it’s pretty grim with that closed. I have a 2023 LR Defender 90 with a lovely light creamy coloured headliner and it’s so much nicer to travel distances in than the black hole of the Mini.
In the chinese market I saw a completely white interior and it looked good but I can't find the picture any more. It's a shame they only offer white patches with no cohesion interior here in europe...

@@Danne89 In Europe we report consumption per 100 km, I don't know where you are from, I don't care. The car reports that too, who cares about consumption per 1 km? The basic unit of distance is 1 metre, then maybe let them report it that way. Why does it give the temperature in degrees celcius and not farenheit?
it's per 100km probably because reporting petrol/km is pretty annoying: "I have a consumption of 0.062 litters per km" instead of "6.2" It's a bit the other way around with EVs - reporting per 100km adds the decimal point - so instead of 117 Wh/km, you'll be saying 11.7 kWh/100km, a bit annoying - you type more and say it a bit longer :) But overall it's pretty unimportant in my view.
@@bjornnyland Mine shows kWh per 100 km. Just because they can be converted to such units, doesn't mean that such units apply here. I can also change the temperature to farenheit. Wow! In Canada, any faster than 120km/h, you have to worry about tickets. So 650km is achievable with our speed limits🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
