Cool. Thanks for making this effort. I ordered this and their other new pedals around a month ago and I’m still waiting on the slow boat. This is the first info I’ve seen on them.
I didnt know that it was u i was watching...until u spoke haha. I was that dude who made a comment abt chilling at ur house listening to brownstone when in fact it was my michelle haha. was checking this out online and here u are demoing it. Fuzz fan here 🤟 i already got the coolmusic fuzzster, old old zoom 707ii and g3xn and smtimes cranked rat. Thanks again for demoing
Thank you! I’m a huge fuzz fan also. I’ve been trying to learn to make them. I also made this video about a month ago but for some reason it went to private and I didn’t realize it until today.
It’s such a cool thing for them to do. I wish instead of the boost section it was a muff fuzz. The one that’s literally just half of a big muff circuit
Hey man does this pedal clean up well when you roll back the volume on your guitar? I find a lot of these less expensive fuzz pedals tend to not clean up and be articulate like how a fuzz face does, do you know of any inexpensive fuzz that does that well? Thanks!
No this doesn’t clean up well. Fuzzes like big muffa don’t really clean up well. The closest think I’ve found to a fuzzface is the dolamo fuzz or caline puffer. They are the same pedal. They are high gain but are based off a fuzzface. I have a demo of the dolamo. If you keep the gain pretty low it cleans up decent for it being $20.
@@googaboogaloo yeah, I have the Dolamo (bought it based on your demo) but the only thing is, is it doesn't clean up very good and to me the tone knob is useless. I use to have fuzz faces and I really like to be able to roll back the volume and clean it up for a nice bluesy tone but also have the ability to turn the knob and have all the fuzz tone I want. I don't have Dunlop Fuzz Face money in my budget so I'm always on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I thought about the Mosky BC108 but I'm not trying to start a fuzz collection you know what I mean? Just trying to figure out an inexpensive alternative that's all, there's gotta be something else that does that on the cheap
@@PlayingWithMyselfGuitar I’ve had the mosky bc108 it’s not great. The dolamo is the best one I’ve found. Cheap good fuzzfaces are hard to come by. I’ve had the monoprice and the tomsline and they were both bad. It’s almost better to build one from a kit just don’t buy the Amazon fuzzface kit if you ever want to make one. It is notoriously bad I could not get it to work.
@@googaboogaloo thanks for the advice, for now I'll make due with the Dolamo, I pair it with the Dolamo D-4 (the black one) which I use sort of as my "always on" pedal but I have it set as like an Plexi on the edge of break up and that sounds great (also got that from your recommendation, so thanks btw). Use those together and you get a pretty darn good sound. I also just recently picked up a US Dream pedal by Saphue/Kmise and that sounds really good in case you haven't tried one. Thanks again for the advice!
@@PlayingWithMyselfGuitar I haven’t tried the us dream I’ve heard good things I just haven’t pulled the trigger. My favorite of that Joyo line is the sweet baby. It’s a real low gain OD but on my Silvertone amp it’s enough lol
Your video is actually the most useful info on this pedal that exists on the internet so thankyou
Thank you!
That's the case for all his demos, honest and helpful
@@PlayingWithMyselfGuitar thank you! I try my best I just get sidetracked easily and end up making a 3 minute demo into a 10 minute jam.

That Sword riff. Great demo!
@@keithdador thank you!
Thank you for pcb review!
Great review! Thank you so much! Awaiting till mine arrives, can't wait😊👍

Just ordered one, sounds good! I only need one for a couple of songs I gig so the price makes sense. Can I ask what guitar and amp you were using?
Peavey vt 2x12 from the 80s and my tele with p90s
It’s worth it just for the Tone Bender preset.

Thanks for the Video. Does it clean up with the guitar volume knob at all?
Not really, not like a fuzzface. It still has the thick sound but less saturated if that makes sense.

Does sound same with Mosky Mini Muff?
It’s pretty close. The only thing this pedal has more tonal shaping parameters.
I'm very curious if that tone bender setting is actually using a tone bender circuit. I assumed this was based around a big muff.b
So the tone bender setting on this is based around the colorsound tone bender jumbo which is a big muff clone with 2 diodes removed.
Is this analog?
Yes. It is.
What is an analog? It's a transistor...
You can have analogue circuitry, genius.
