Does Odette even go back to her own kingdom after she is married to even just check on it, I mean she is technically the Queen of that kingdom since her father died and she was an only child.

I just realized, the bog m,onsters... their design is totally ripped off from Strange Magic. Because that's a movie anyone would need to emulate? Btw, did their leader die in the pirate movie? This is looking more and more like Charmed, where Grandma Ghost hang around so much you almost forgot she was supposedly dead. Wow, they totally leave Niccolo to die there? I mean surely once he falls asleep he will fall off that tiny thing to his doom. Unless, y'know, he jumps off that scale because the ledge is like 1 meter away, LOL
At least in Charmed, they could fall back on the excuse of witchcraft and magic...this series however pissed away that liberty the instant they made a dead squirrel a reoccurring character.
25:00 Objection. In the Christmas Carol, while Scrooge does not become a ghost, when in the past in the presence of the Ghost of Christmas past, he gains the properties of a ghost. The ghost of Christmas Past tells Scrooge, "These are the shadows of things that have been." If anything it makes those in his past the ghosts and not him.

The name of Uberta's kingdom is actually called Chamberg, it was on a map that Rothbart had in his castle in the first movie. That;s pretty much all we have to go by.

Okay. I admit when I was a kid, I came up with silly ideas for Fox & The Hound sequels. The least embarrassing is probably the one about one thing leads to another, Chief & Tod are lost & need to find their way back, & haft to work together. At the same time, Vixy & Copper decide to work together to find them, along with the humans & birds giving supporting roles. The one that's most embarrassing is the one about them dealing with the Carnotaurus from Disney's Dinosaur. Why? Because I was a silly kid. But after finding out Fox & The Hound was directed by the same guy who worked on all these Swan Princess sequels, as well as those Alpha & Omega movies, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he'd actually made either of those real movies.
13:13 You know Lego has TV show for it's Ninjago range, and ghosts play a large part in one of the seasons; in that show Ghosts can't move through water; because it's not solid or empty; that was actually kind of clever and somewhat made sense/was well used by the narative (Putting one of the characters who got turned into a ghost in danger, the water stone weapons they used and intrudcing one of the characters as the elemental master of water) Ghosts not being able to move through glass for the sake of one joke is friggin' stupid.

Wait, so... if the ghost of a living being touches something real, nothing happens. But if the "ghost" of an inanimate object (how does that even work anyway?) touches something real, it turns the real thing into a ghost thing??? My brain hurts
None of the fictional stories in movies and books I've seen or read ever said that if a ghost touches something real and living, that the something real and living also turns into ghost too. I completely agree with Bob that Richard Rich is an idiot and completely pulled that idea out of his ass.
Come to think of it, thought he isn't in the movies Royal Family Tale and onward, I have to make this observation about Rothbart. He looks like if you took Dr. Wily, dyed his hair ginger, and dressed him up in medieval royal garb.
I know this franchise is supposed to be a fairy tale and all, but why mix it with crazy stuff like ghosts, steampunk technology, a courtroom case, and 'selfies'? Anyone who can come with an answer that's not money will get a cookie.
Maybe they're imitating Shrek? I know, the franchise started as a normal fairytale musical, but these obvious cashgrabs imitate whatever was popular 10 years ago.
I'm just going to go with the disenchantment logic since despite that is set in the fairytale world inspired by Mediaeval Times we do see elements of steampunk technology in the second and third season as well as the undead

Wabuu: “The Swan Princess sequels are sooooo stupid!”
I remember when a little. My dad ordered a box of NEST movies because that company made the only half way decent animated movies of our religious text. And it came with the first three Swan Princess movies. I feel in love with the franchise because I saw it as a new old fashioned Disney Princess movie. Though with each coming year I became wiser. Things I passed off as wierd, but I’ll understand when I’m older just turned out to be stupid. And now with the plague of CGI sequels now roaming the earth I still love it. It’s stupid and watching reviewers (especially Bobsheaux) make fun of it to puts a smile on my face.
To quote a Muppet pirate, "I like to get my hands on whoever wrote this script."

@@michaelstrong5383 These movies seem like they're written by an old dad or grandpa trying to look "hip and trendy" in front of the kids.
I just realized, the bog m,onsters... their design is totally ripped off from Strange Magic. Because that's a movie anyone would need to emulate? Btw, did their leader die in the pirate movie? I honestly forgot. Not that death means anything, since apparently anyone can just come back from the afterlife and hang around as a ghost without consequences.
He can fly and go through objects. Also having ghosts turn another person into a ghost when touched makes ghosts way more scary.
The ghost of Christmas Past tells Scrooge, "These are the shadows of things that have been." If anything it makes those in his past the ghosts and not him.
You and The Detective Steve do a wonderful job in making these reviews on the Swan Princess. Honestly I didn't know there were sequels to it because I probably only saw the original once as a kid as a rental from a Blockbuster store (RIP).
I think the Miz would be going "Really? Really? Really?" at this Swan Princess title.
Good review as always. :)
More like "Royal Misery" which is how Bob feels when reviewing these movies
If the whole movie was just Miz skull-crushing all the characters, that would honestly be a much better movie.
It may be pure nostalgia-but I grew up watching The Swan Princess (the first 3 at least) and loved the heck out of them! Still do if I’m being honest haha

The name of Uberta's kingdom is actually called Chamberg, it was on a map that Rothbart had in his castle in the first movie. That;s pretty much all we have to go by.
How did I not see that?
So around 40:54 the scene was basically.
Derek being stuck on a plattform, Nikolai states that he is lucky to be alive.
Derek corrects him and says that it was due to his friends he survived. Which with the chandelier sure, he was pushed out of the way but the trap in the sewers was quite literally only him opening the gate to the trap so to speak which means:
So at best one occasion had with friendship to do and the other was just pure idiocy/luck.

Aaaaah, I see what ya did there....and it hurts.
46:02 - I really didn't know you'd dubbed that line for a second! I had to listen to it again.
Wasn’t able to see your last swan princess review so it’s nice you did the recap at the beginning
13:13 You know Lego has TV show for it's Ninjago range, and ghosts play a large part in one of the seasons; in that show Ghosts can't move through water; because it's not solid or empty; that was actually kind of clever and somewhat made sense/was well used by the narative (Putting one of the characters who got turned into a ghost in danger, the water stone weapons they used and intrudcing one of the characters as the elemental master of water)
Ghosts not being able to move through glass for the sake of one joke is friggin' stupid.

But isn't the Ghost Hunters parody FUNNY?? Did you life? Does it not entertain you?
None of the fictional stories in movies and books I've seen or read ever said that if a ghost touches something real and living, that the something real and living also turns into ghost too. I completely agree with Bob that Richard Rich is an idiot and completely pulled that idea out of his ass.

I swear, this franchise is just going to continue to churn out sequels of ever-decreasing quality until the inevitable heat death of the universe.
Is this what the Anti-Spiral were trying to warn us about?
I know this franchise is supposed to be a fairy tale and all, but why mix it with crazy stuff like ghosts, steampunk technology, a courtroom case, and 'selfies'?
Anyone who can come with an answer that's not money will get a cookie.
Maybe they're imitating Shrek? I know, the franchise started as a normal fairytale musical, but these obvious cashgrabs imitate whatever was popular 10 years ago.

Creepy old king dude is... painting selfies? He is a few centuries before his age. Also, that cat can talk and is a good guy now? Last movie didn't he work with the villain's ghost? Also, when did the squirrel guy die? Maybe there was a review I missed? Your last Swan Princess review I saw was Royally Undercover.
If you saw the Royally Undercover review (provided he mentioned it, as I'm not a patreon but did watch another review video of it), then you'd know that No. 9 (Jasper) went good in that movie when he's revealed to be the missing pet of the old king dude. And the squirrel guy died in A Royal Family Tale where Alise was introduced, which is the fifth movie in this franchise. That puts it after Christmas where the cat worked with Rothbart's ghost to destroy Christmas but before Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today where Alise became a pirate with Rodgers to escape Queen Uberta's Princess Boot Camp and yoga pants, then got shipwrecked on the Bog's island where Rodgers hosted a parody of Hell's Kitchen that involved him teaching the Bogs how to cook him.
You know, when you say write it out, this franchise seems kind of stupid.
