Mae-Neau Unfortunately due to bankruptcy the company involved with Viewtiful Joe cannot make another game.
It actually did happen. It was on the Nintendo DS I believe.
Wasn't a true VG game though. That was just a spinoff like the PSP one.
The endgame takes place in the castle that appeared at the end of VJ 2 though.

Phantomneko because alister dose a stinger like Dante, his henshin line is “Devil trigger” when transforming heck his second phase is litterly demon form to extend the power just like Dante’s devil trigger.

So, I'm guessing someone at Clover decided that, in addition to having too many repeated boss fights, VJ1's bosses could be finished too quickly.

2022.. I feel like for a 3rd game it'd have to be scripted and detailed moreso than ever thanks to the majority of the world being critical about every game that doesn't cater to their delusions. 🙌🏾.

It was made as a DS title called Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble! Wasn't nearly as appealing as its predecessors unfortunately...
Double Trouble wasn't the last threat. The game was just a standalone title for the DS and had nothing to do with the console titles. The last threat was going to be in Viewtiful Joe 3, which unfortunately never happened because Capcom dissolved Clover Studios.

+Stellerman7 I know right. I'm still feeling salty that I will never know what the last threat was or where Jet got the Black V-watch. This is exactly why you shouldn't sequel bait in games or movies if they're not guaranteed to come out.
I did have a fan theory though that the last threat would be Joe's mother. Since in the first game, the main villain was Silvia's father and in the sequel, it was Joe's father. But I guess we will never find out. u_u

Does this game run better on GCN than it does on PS2? I had it on PS2 and it ran awful. Very unsteady frame rate. If it runs better on GCN I might give this game another shot.

According to Dante's story in the PS2 version. Otherwise, Alastor is just a huge reference to said sword. In other news, The castle that appears that the end of this game (which would have been in VJ3 in Capcom ever made it) reminds me a lot of Mundas's castle.
