How come you don’t pre rinse before? That removes a lot of the dirt meaning less chemicals etc… just curious..

Damn based on the reply that he gave u just made me be 100% sure to not take my car for an expensive as detailer, if they can’t even presoak it before. Luckily in my case I bought my products to do my own detail

@claveecl1564 I mean everyone has their own methods and preferences. This is part of detailing - the results are what matters. Not so much the finer particulars about the steps.

i’ll give you a tip when you’re cleaning the wheel/alloy with diff sponges/brushes in stages, then give it a rinse here and there, rather than waiting to clean it all, because halfway through the process you’re just essentially rubbing and cleaning dirt over dirt.
I rinse brushes often throughout. Just not shown on video. 🙏🏾

So glad I have a floor jack and jack stands i remove my wheels and get everything done way faster. And get the wheels inside cleaned out too.
We have those things, we also have 3 ramps :)
It does take longer to remove the wheels and clean them fully, than to clean them on the car.
We can reach the inside of barrel with brushes , and behind the spokes with the small wash mitt;
Removing them is "better", but you need to understand we are a business and clients do not always have the budget, or need, to remove wheels to clean them.
It's different if you are doing it "for fun" on a weekend and have 1.5 hours :)
Great work, but I prefer to neutralize deironizer before washing with washmit or brush to prevent breaking rubber seals in brake caliper. Water with acid can go there while rinsing. small chance, but still, imo better to do it. Great work!

To prevent what? You have no idea what you're talking about. I clean about 60 wheels a week with iron remover and I've never "broke a seal in a caliper" 🤦
When I clean wheels, I recommend going over really nasty ones twice as some brake dust stays leftover.

. Recommend P&S iron buster. Or Koch chemie wheel cleaner has a built in one it’s not as strong though

Great question!
Because a variety of brushes are needed to access all areas
The thick blue brush is stronger for arches etc, but too big for barrels of wheels
The green and red barrel brush is safe in wheels but not strong enough for arches
Black Square Brush for tyre sidewalls is stiff for deep clean on greasy rubber
The smaller brushes for tighter areas , and the finger mitt for a safe face clean

I prefer the Vikan one !
It gets into tighter spaces between calliper and wheel, we replace every 8-12 months, very durable for our use.
Ideally have both lol , but if you have to pick one, I pick the vikan

Unfortunately nothing you can do.
Some products minimise it (Bilt Hamber Atom mac).
Spray it before cleaning and then after final rinse.
Best thing is to drive the car forward and back and use the brakes, though. That's what I do.

What tip do you use on the pressure washer gun
This one was standard Kranzle stubby lance nozzle, you can use any nozzle really 25 degree or something like that , doesn't make a big difference :)
These brands should show wheels like this when selling a product lol🤦🏻♂️ it’s always a clean one and it’s only nicer cause it’s wet too

You could do if you wanted; but I would use those specifically on the tyre and in the wheel arch. For deep cleans on wheels then degreaser is OK, but I prefer an iron-fallout based wheel cleaner personally.
If you are using degreaser, be mindful of PH level and product concentration as some can damage, etch or stain certain wheel finishes :)

Personally I wouldn't use so many chemicals at once I would rinse inbetween

I use an APC on the tyres and arches, and a fallout based wheel cleaner for the wheel itself. 😀

Its warming up - as I had just cleaned engine bay before hand, so to allow to dry :)
Always always always always pre rinse. If you don’t you will use more muck and road grit to scratch your lovely wheels. Less muck from the start the better
Theory that is true, in reality, most wheels are powder coated and much more resistant to swirls, besides, I always take a holistic approach based on wheel condition, time scale, etc. There is some kerb marks etc so a time effective clean is key :) Where as a brand new gloss black wheel would have a different process

Потом уже можно было айрон
Потом смыть, и только потом вторую фазу
А во технологии, вообще, 1 фаза, 2 фаза, айрон, битум, вторая фаза, сушка/консервант-сушка
Wheels are not the same as paint, and process can vary depending on the wheel condition, type and level of dirt, thank you.

Upgrading to ceramic brake pads will save a lot of time from cleaning wheels

@@OnTrackDetailingceramics won’t dust but it’s not an “upgrade” if the car doesn’t run it. Some cars require organic or semi-metallic or ceramic or carbon ceramic etc. The ceramic material could be too soft for the cars application. 🫡

I do that sometimes, on very light colour wheels which are already suffering with some minor kerb marks , there is no need - Look at my Lotus wheel cleaning video :)

It's silver, and already scratched, with kerb damage, who minds really - This is not a brand new gloss black wheel, I do that often on newer cars or shiney black wheels. On old silver wheel, not necessary.
I've seen foam clean a rim like that in seconds

I honestly dont get this.... i use turtle wax redline...let it sit for 3-5 mins and wash off.
Same as if you have a nice scrub in the shower or just spray and rinse yourself :)

@OnTrackDetailing theres literally 0 need to touch it though. Ive had the rims for 3 years and use redline on it every 2weeks to a month and looks brand new everytime. I took the rims off because you got me curious only thing that was dirty was the far inside of the wheel and the back face. I find it hard to believe your tools can clean the back face and far inside of the wheel anyways🤷♂️

There is always an argument for pre rinse or not.

Try out some other products and you may enjoy better results, or the same results with less effort :)
The only reason why I use them is because I got given them from a family member. But I will probably buy something else in the future

I just use supermarket brand washing up liquid to was my car.
Not good as the cleaners can remove waxes and damage paint over time as they are very strong.
