These heavy-duty zinc plated steel bracket sets have a superior design with heavy duty springs for maximum holding power. Once the installation is complete you will have a triangle shaped keeper on one furniture member and the Alligator on the other. Slide the 2 parts together and the gear of the Alligator will ratchet along the keeper and lock the 2 pieces together, use 2 sets for best results. To disengage just elevate the part with the keeper. Thanks! I have one alligator clip is loose and won’t connect. By you demonstrating the release mechanism I noticed my spring is damage. I just need to tighten it up so alligator claw can be tight again or buy new replacement. But your video helped me find a solution so thank you
