  • Wanaka's Hidden Gems (day trip from Queenstown)
In the heart of Wanaka, New Zealand, there's a bunch of hidden spots just waiting for you to stumble upon them. First up, we swing by the super cozy Coffee Shack for a dose of freshly roasted beans and grab an edible coffee cup (?!!) Then, head over to the Book Shop, where you can get lost among the shelves and maybe even discover your next favourite read. If you take a hike off the beaten path, you can find a secret gorge, a total paradise where you can hang out away from the crowds. And if you're really up for a treat, track down the Secret Sauna tucked away in the wild, where you can kick back, relax, and let the steam work its magic.
Wanaka's got a whole bunch of hidden gems just waiting for you to uncover them - so grab your sense of adventure and get ready to uncover them with us.

➤ ABOUT US: Hi! We’re Nick & Raychel, and we want to help people open their eyes to alternative living, whether that be teaching English online, moving to Cambodia, taking advantage of working holiday visas, or building a DIY stealthy camper van to live & work on the road. Nothing is off limits when adventure is the ultimate goal. After three years of living full time van life throught Canada, Mexico and the USA, we're now car camping our way through New Zealand in a Land Rover Discovery 1.
Our goal here is to bring you weekly content where we hope to inspire you to break free & live the life you desire. On this channel, we talk everything from finances to minimalism to working online to mindset and post a weekly vlog of our daily lives. We hope you join us on our journey to see the world, save money, live minimally, and most importantly, have fun.
So if you're looking for a channel about van life, alternative living, and budget travel, you're in the right place.

Thanks for watching! Y'all we're not going to lie - this has been a WEEEEEK. We've been working overtime, trying to get a million things done at once, and now our old 'Rover is headed to the mechanic. On top of that, we're just a few weeks away from moving to the North Island and we can't wait to share where we'll be moving to! Once again, so grateful for you to be here, and we'll see you next week xx

If you are going to the North Island before April 14, there is a cool gravel road, the rainbow road, from Hanmer Springs to St Arnaud. You have to ford a couple of streams but with your vehicle it should not be a problem. There is a campground at lake Tennyson which is about halfway. There is a toll on the road, because it goes thru Rainbow station, a private sheep station. It is $60 cash per car.

Knowing that you are moving to the North Island, may I make a suggestion of a great place to spend some of your time and a bit of money? That would be the Orakei Korako Geothermal Park.Somewhat 'off the beaten track', the Hidden Valley lies nestled in the Taupo Volcanic Zone between Taupo and Rotorua. It is a mere 25 minute drive from Taupo and 45 from Rotorua, and not far from State Highway 1 and State Highway 5. You get a bit of a boat ride in the bargain. We are off to Australia vanning around for a few months so we look forward to catching upi with your adventures on our return in July. All the best and safe travels. Oh one more thing try to get to Nelson on your way north. You will not be disappointed.

just use the cameras audio and make it seem like you're doing what you're doing with normal actions, stop sticking that microphone in your face and making it feel like you're presenting some sort of news for a television broadcast or something.
that is all i have to say. keep it real and stop faking.
