Agreed. Stormwater pipework will run into streams or rivers hence why there is alot of restrictions around what can go into stormwater. Sewage and trade waste will go into a wastewater treatment plant. We DO NOT pipe raw sewage or wastewater into our waterways. There been alot of work done around protecting water ways and what runs into them.
Wanaka is what Queenstown was like 40 years ago before it went tourist crazy. 40 years ago Wanaka was a nice quiet place with a camping ground and a pub and not a lot more. That's not sewage going into the creek, it's just for rainwater runoff.
What a beautiful view when yous went back to see the tree in the water. The tree was a bit of a build ups but the view of the sun setting over the water made up for it. Pity you's didn't have a glass of wine. What a lovely setting.
Were you guys there around the time of Warbirds over Wānaka? Did ya see some of the aircraft? I didn’t go this year but had a lot of fun spotting airforce aircraft as they came and went from Christchurch Airport 👌
Watching & enjoying your uploads since you guys arrived in NZ, even staying near my hometown (Mount Maunganui/Tauranga). Not a bad thing, but from your first upload til now you're both looking physically heavier but healthier.😁
My daughter used to live in Wanaka and she got some amazing bargains at the Wanaka Dump Shop. She says that isn't sewrage pipes, Wanaka has flooding issues and they are storm water drains...
Really at it's busiest over winter, for skiing. I've never understood why people would like to live in Wanaka - lovely to visit, but sooo expensive. I have spent many a good new year there when I was young, though! Best restaurant there is Francescas ❤
Mission Impossible III. Tom Cruise used Wanaka as a code word in Mission Impossible III, Tom Cruise's character Ethan Hunt asked his fiancé to name the place where they spent a weekend together in order to confirm her identity: Lake Wanaka.
Those pipes would be storm water drainage not sewage. It's illegal to pipe sewage into waterways in NZ. It has to be discharged 1/2 a kilometer out to sea for areas that don't have treatment plants.
Some of New Zealand's most expensive property is there. Robert Lange, Shania Twain's ex husband has property there. Peter Thiel of PayPal and Matt Lauer, US TV presenter. As well as others that have land and homes around Queenstown.
Yeah, they were probably a bit stressed with you videoing them when they were making the crepes... Might not be Queenstown, but it's on it's way there. You'd still never find a house in Wanaka less than $1M
What a beautiful couple with such purity, humility and example of decent human beings. ❤🙏
Storm water not sewage. But it's interesting how visitors might misconstrue something as simple as that. Urban designers should take note.

it's not sewage going into the stream, it will be a storm water pipe
Lol yes had a wee giggle at that.
Another awesome video thanks guys .
Yes, please don't represent that - we *don't* pipe raw sewerage into our streams!
I agree.
Amazing Newziland 🇳🇿 Beautiful people's Lovely couple Excellent vlog 💕❤
Thanks for your special words ❤️🙌
Wanaka is so beautiful. I love this place
Glen absolutely loves you Mado. Lucky

Wanaka became the kiwi choice after Queenstown sold its soul to the tourist gold rush. But Queenstown paid dearly during lockdown.

Funny you mention living in Wanaka. US travel vlogger youtuber Mari Johnson now lives in Wanaka. New York to Wanaka!
I thought they were living in CHCH? but that was a long time back, don't think she vlogs anymore, which is a shame.
@@sonnyday6830 They live out Lake Hawea
Such a beautiful place to live if you can afford it. Relaxing homely vibe with the best views.
The Big Fig is unique! Your choice of everything, even price!
Not sewerage, just rainwater.
LOVE Wanaka!
😂😂 listening you two talking about the tree and being so respectful of the ppl visiting the tree
I was in Wanaka in March on a Sunday. It was so busy that I left without having a look around. Te Anau was much more laid back.
Were you guys there around the time of Warbirds over Wānaka? Did ya see some of the aircraft? I didn’t go this year but had a lot of fun spotting airforce aircraft as they came and went from Christchurch Airport 👌
Love you guys keep up the good work hope to see you guys one day.

Hi glen n mado glad to see your video from Nepal 🇳🇵a big hug and love from Rita
The Wanaka tree photographs beautifully. You need to google it. Some idiot got to it and chopped off branches and it doesn't look like it used to.
My daughter used to live in Wanaka and she got some amazing bargains at the Wanaka Dump Shop.
She says that isn't sewrage pipes, Wanaka has flooding issues and they are storm water drains...
Wanaka is so expensive though. Just around the corner is Lake Hawea as well. Has a similar feel without so many tourists.

Hello again Mado and Glen! 😊🙋🏼♀️🚐👍
It’s storm water drain Glen , not sewage! 😂 Enjoy
Thank you G & M, this is one of my favorite clips. One of America's richest men own a big piece of land there, so it must be OK
why is there a 10 second gap/blank screen from about 35secs?
Awesome 😎😎😎
That maze does my head in, can never get to the last color

The Wanaka tree used to have a hanging branch that dipped in the water. Apparently someone damaged that branch. You could google older photos of it?
Those pipes would be storm water drainage not sewage. It's illegal to pipe sewage into waterways in NZ. It has to be discharged 1/2 a kilometer out to sea for areas that don't have treatment plants.
Perhaps Wanaka is the next Queenstown, as Queestown is now highly developed and very expensive.
You got that right it’s the baby version 🙌
Glen, property in Wanaka is eye wateringly expensive and it’s not sewage flowing into the stream.
Some of New Zealand's most expensive property is there. Robert Lange, Shania Twain's ex husband has property there. Peter Thiel of PayPal and Matt Lauer, US TV presenter. As well as others that have land and homes around Queenstown.
What month is this?
Give us a mana wave in the next video
❤ from India Kerala 🌴
Glen has the best reaction to that f^#*ing tree ever 🤣 - seriously it is just a weed in the lake. Now what did he say about that Lake Tekapo church?
Yeah, they were probably a bit stressed with you videoing them when they were making the crepes...
Might not be Queenstown, but it's on it's way there. You'd still never find a house in Wanaka less than $1M
Strom water drainage mate.😮
Hahahaha oh guys that’s stormwater pipes into the creek (rain water from the road and roof) not sewage 💩 😂😅
Oops my bad how were we supposed to know 😂
Its illegal to pump sewage into that stream
Someone hook up glen and mado with New Zealand cuisine of crayfish and cream pauas before they leave NZ
Yeah that would be awesome 🙌
mate the shit doesnt go into the creeek its a water pipe
Definitely not sewage mate!!😀
Who is the other young lady, no introduction?
It’s Mado’s friend Marina from Ukraine.
@@lorrywin32 Thanks, more of her on Camera would be nice.
@@Andy_M986 l agree, She has been with them for a while now. Maybe that’s what she wants. 😊
Very difficult for Marina seeing the beauty and peace of NZ when her own country is being destroyed by terrorists from Russia. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦.
Sewerage? Did you see any dirty water there? No,so it wasn't sewerage.
I see he is getting tired of youtube.Take a couple of days off.It would be too much for me sorry.Love your show
Never! Love every moment 😂
Someone must be paying them wanaka is average on a beautiful day
