- This is my entry for Sterling Davis Pallet Upcycle Challenge.
I wanded to make an easy project that I could put to good use in my home. So I made a Guitar Stand.
I want to thank Sterling Davis for putting on the Pallet Up Cycle Challenge!

I had no clue what you were making! It was pretty fun to wonder as it went along! Cool project!
Peter Brown Haha, thank you Peter :)
Pallet wood is good-stuff! I have made some nice-pieces of furniture out of discarded pallets. Don't get me wrong, I am not a cheap-bastard...It is just some of the wood is outstanding! Some of it generally needs: Varnish, Shellac, Lacquer, Deft, Polyurethane, or whatever finish one chooses! 5:05 Nice-job on the draw-section in the back-ground.
Great job Fabian, the guitars look great too!
Carl Jacobson Thanks a lot Carl!
Very nice, nice idea of not saying what it is at the start , it had me hooked!
Andy Anderson :)
Wow, looks great. That finish turned out fantastic. This was just what I want to make for my oldest son for Christmas.
Badlands Wood-N-Stuff Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
Cool! This might be one of my favorite pallet upcycling projects that I've seen. Nicely done!
Mikey Makey Thanks a lot ;-)
Hi Fabian,
I love your videos - so inspiring! Today I finished my palette guitar stand - my first ever woodwork project. Such fun to make and I'm so proud of it. Brilliant idea! Thank you from Scotland.
Julie Macgregor Hey Congratulations :-)
I'm glad you like it :-)
Take care,
Fabian
Cool I really like them
Super cool project! Your guitar look awesome by the way!
Scrap wood City Thank you :-)
Rock On Fabian, Very Nice Pallet Up Cycle Challenge Entry, Best of Luck !!!
***** Thank you Sterling :)
can you tell me something about that table saw you have? thanks
Fabian, great project! Pocket holes, screws and glue would have made the result a bit nicer but it came out alright the way you did it. The guitars look beautiful as well!
JM Tosses Thank you. True but unfortunately I have no pocket hole jig :-(
Get one, I started with a cheap one by Wolfcraft and got a lot of holes drilled before the drill bit split in half :( Recently I upgraded to Kreg and apart from the special screws I like the jig a lot. Both of them - to me - were well worth the investment. The Kreg jig parts are compatible to the ones from Wolfcraft. Found both on Amazon.
Looks great! I really like the colour of the shellac and whatever the water based finish was. When you were done, I thought that it'd have been really neat if you had used one of the large lumps from the pallet to join the vertical piece to the base. (instead of the angle steel.)
Mick King Thank you! That was my original intention but those lumps were made out of some kind of compressed fibers / particle board.
Very nice. Awesome guitar also.
Barrett Hageman Thanks
Hi Fabian: Great project, Very nice guitar stand, Best of Luck, Cheers Harry
Harry Watts Thank you Harry
Came out great. perfect finish for it as well.
Chad Schimmel Thank you :)
Really nice guitar stands and the custom guitars aren't bad either!! I wasn't sure where you were going with this until right at the end. Great job!
Kerry G Thank you
Great work sir!
Joe B Thank you
you kept us wondering what it was you were building but worth waiting for well done sir. what shellac was it that you used please and an alternative if poss because some thing are difficult to find here in Cyprus
philip ryan Thank you. It was amber shellac flakes dissolve in alcohol. I don't know an alternative. Maybe use a dye to achieve the desired color.
Very cool guitar stand!
CMR Woodworks Thanks

thank you very much
philip ryan you're welcome
First time I ever saw someone take a pallet apart with the freakin' PICKAX!!!
Lol ;-) Euro pallets are a pain in the a... unlike the normal pallets they are build to last.
Very nice guitar stands!
Did you make those guitars too?
McGinn's WoodShop Thank you! Partially. I bought the neck and made the body
Cool end product! I guess the music was kind of a hint :) Thanks.
AdventuresInDIY Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)
That is great, looks very nice, were you also playing the background music? Good Joib!
Turning Round Thank you! No, the music is from the youtube audio library.
I would have done without the angle brackets, take away from the look.
great job and awesome music too,is that the kind you play?
jon bailey Thank you :) It's the kind of music I like to listen to but we play music from the 50's and 60's.
5:14 how about the other stand ? Is there a video of that ? :)
Unfortunately there is not video for the other stand.
Tolles Video :)
Weißt du wo man Paletten her bekommen kann ? Ich würde auch gerne sowas bauen.
sinidus Vielen Dank.
Nice :)
Andrea Arzensek Thank you
That stand turned out really nice man but I give you full permission to get yourself a new drill/driver, that one was struggling.
I must say that “pepe amazing plan” (Google it) is a superb woodworking book. Both novice and some seasoned wood worker can gain lots of general info from this reading material. I`ve been very amazed how often I use this to look up woods at places like to restore and salvage spots.
nice one :)
fred james thanks :)
Just watch the wideo!
Hey, use some glue would ya? Kidding, awesome project.
1kenkelly thanks!
