I'm sorry for being blunt, but it looks like something from 1995, the infancy of chroma keying. It doesn't look professional. It's sad, because the tutorial itself is great, and the course developer is doing an excellent job.
this is the most underrated breakdown I've ever seen I learned that sub bass notes sound better slightly understated and that last note that only hits in the sub did so much more than I though it would , the 2 variations of major minor combinations combined with Risa T connecting it to the theme of the song is so inspiring. Thank you so much that was so professional and I literally couldn't take my eyes off the screen ahaha
I would love to hear someone break down the melody / harmonics / composition of the song. Idk I find it so impressive how there is a trap-upbeat part with such belty chorus melodies. I feel it takes a lot of creativity to come up with a composition like that
5 minutes in and already learned several new work flow ideas. THANK YOU! Excellent quality by the instructor. edit: it would be helpful to have the instrument information panel open as you work so we could pause and see whether whether you're using DMD or some other plug-in. Thanks!
This was pretty good, thanks for the masterclass, pop doesn't seem to complicated, but choice of sounds and effects play a role. Thanks for your video.
I absolutely love everything about this video....absolutely perfect to learn from (at least for my style of learning). I can go investigate various bits further and you tied everything back in context. I haven’t read into your background yet but this video almost feels like a school project where you need to showcase your learning and explain each element. If so, your course is something I’d love to take. Subscribing for sure.
I am so thankful for this insight with the cut-off option to make a lasting one-note sound so much more full and use it as a riser. Super nice. Generally so amazed to see a song that I find beautifully complex in some ways to be built in such a step by step way. And I think it also highlights how much soul Ariana brings to the instrumentals to make it an actual rich, and flowing song.
The chords are saying, this is a single voice. It does this by keeping the chord relationship as it plays a melody to become a linked chord melody. Brilliant reconstruction! :)
I hate Apple hardware bullshit, but the software-side is *stellar* IMHO. Both very intuitive and extremely deep. I used Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro X professionally and it's hard to come back to others after that user experience. But the OS isn't the best and the hardware bullshit keeps going with the M1s drive early failures... shame. Best of the best is a desktop PC that you can transform into an Hackintosh by installing Mac OS on half your drive but get the other half for gaming :P Just need 3 thousands bucks lol
@@jas_bataille i ban Apple for life :o my first desktop was a Apple (Jail), i just had a magnetophone, and boring software,( i was little) i couldnt bought anything, my parents losed money, so since i stop apple for life, and when i had a windows, its was like a OpenWorld no limit. now i use StudioOne, Maschine,
The cleanest I’ve ever seen a breakdown put together!!! Brava!👌🤩😍 it’s not all over the place and complicated and trying to mix it. Which makes my head hurt.
AllodsJinjer or it can also mean that they used to do tell people to sub for a chance to win many only subbed for that reason and never came back to the channel
HOLY CRAP WOW! That was amazing miss cutie!!!! I probably would not even notice that wasn't the real instrumental if I didn't know you did this. Very impressive! Although, I would call it a REconstruction. I just came here from a Bille Eillish Ocean Eyes deconstruction and I'm thinking maybe less is more and now after this video, I'm thinking more is more. Anyway, this was really great.
Does anyone think it sounded better at 10:45 before she fixed it again at 10:57. It just sounded more human before and after it sounded robot like, it was too perfect I could hear the three keys as much separate
I caught a blip about Alchemy awhile back.... something about a default sluggish attack time variable of +/- 0.1. Slick automation insight at 21:50. I like how you just programmed a min and max parameter for yourself with just a couple of adjustments. Way to surprise us with the artists acapella at the end. transcripts plz.
How did you get the vocal track to sync exactly with the music after you created the tracks? i never saw you introduce the vocal stem/ track. It was just suddenly there at the end. You would need to put the whole complete track onto a guide track, after puting a count in at the start, then split out the stems, then keep just the vocals, as well as a guide count in which you would create in front of the guide track. I never saw that being done, in an order that would work, unless it had been done at the start. are you able to explain how this was done please Thanks
Hi This is very good. This is using Pro logic which is an Apple App like Garage Band. I have been watching the channel and the DAWS change from FL Studio (which i do have) to Ableton Live (Suite) which i also have (v12) however i started on Cubase Pro which i have(v13). I am still learning from your videos but to learn each DAW as well as you opertae them in the videos requires a lot of patience (and money) to learn. So Pro Logic is not a DAW i have. I would also need a (very Good) apple mac. Is this easier to work with than the other DAWS once mastered and do you prefer this please.
The chorus is breath taking. This could have been an incredible song. The rap/attitude portion killed it.. god but the chorus is so pretty! So close. I hope she remakes this song one day
Where’s Ski? And all the amazing FFL with JC?? Those vids helped get me over the hump with some stuff I couldn’t just quite get thru without some tutorials. (The technical stuff about mixing and mastering)
How do you manage not to get this video being flagged? I know it goes under the fair use regulations but I know so many people, having their videos flagged even if they just happen to have the car radio on in the background for a few seconds. Rick Beato has a video on this problem and how annoying it is.
reyalen amilac rail I did before commenting the first time. And PB music school isn’t one of them. Although this is not my field of expertise I work as an a&r for universal Scandinavia, so I know a thing or two more than you obviously. This is just standard publishing references. And now I see that they did it wrong too because it’s filed as instrumental, while the video was obviously vocals too. But let me be clear here: Point B. hasn't done anything wrong by using it since it normally goes under the fair use harbour regulations. Still most people who does the same gets their video flagged because it’s just a computer reading codes when you upload the video. To advanced to understand with your very limited English knowledge. (ref. IT has a license). My English is also far from perfect but good enough to manage international work.
What do you think of the intro?
to much on the lsd side
It was interesting, not bad imho at all.

@@j.lindback Why so serious? It looks like shit, so what. Does it matter? No.
To be honest, we definitely made this intro purposely cheesy.
She makes it so simple😂
Absolutely brilliant. Hats off to Risa T for such a good deconstruction. Thank you!

It was cool to learn why this song elicits certain emotions based on the key, chords, etc. Thanks!

Holy cow this is friggen amazing, very minimal difference to the actual song imo

I was BLOWN away at this! So well executed, such confidence and clarity in explanation! This sounded incredible!
My Lord thanks I found this video. Learnt so much. Very broad knowledge and impeccable delivery with intentions behind mentioned clearly ❤❤❤
We really appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
How does this channel have so many subs, but like no views
like the most viewed video only had half a mil
Y'ALL DESERVE MORE (:
That means those numbers of subs are not real

Oh my G! You are so good! I get so jealous of how easily you handle Logic!!! Be my teacher!!!!
Fantastic job, thank you very much for sharing. Pretty simple, but still so clever. This is what makes a perfect pop song. My track of the year 2018!
Wow. Impressive knowledge and listening ability.
Amazing breakdown miss 🎧🙏 another gem of a Max Martin production...
Omg she's so talented❤❤❤❤❤❤

Excellent content, was researching to find out more about the chord progression and I ended up here. Easy to play on bass. Thanks!!

Oh by the way, didn't they use a sample in the original for the "garage beat". I always thought it's Hot Pants by Bobby Bird!?
How do you make these kind of chords?
Oh my God
