yea it does use the stock air cleaner witch is totally a dumb idea! ciz it doesnt boost good with it if u take it off the thing rips and whistles like a mo fo! im trying to figure a way to block the intake part on the ats intake then running a cone or i could chamge the intakes out for the 6.5 which i have(=
Hey buddy you have an ats turbo kit on your truck. I have a 90 4x4 2500 with the ats kit mine looks a lot different. My turbo has a lot of side play does any body no what turbo these kit run? I am looking for a new turbo for mine thanks please help
Does this engine need a computer or emissions controls? I'm thinking about replacing my worn out 350 in my '86 suburban for a 6.2 diesel for better fuel economy as gas models get 15 mpg highway and diesels get 21 mpg highway.
Pretty sweet truck. Did the ATS kits use the NA 6.2 air filter? I blew mine up and traded the parts to a buddy. He's on here as chevroletTD his truck is pretty sweet also check it out.
I have to ask how did ya get it to roll coal? my k5 with glasspacks barely does and my k20 never does both 6.2s with 5000 on one engine 90000 on the other.

I dont understand how you intake is routed into the engine if the charge pipe runs under the air intake? Is it just for show?

The crank depression regulator/CDR is like a PVC, may require replacement, they start blowing seals when clogged

Is that a 6.2-6.5 conversion? I did the same but having trouble keeping fuel flow due to turbo, I already dialed a 1/4 turn... any problem like that?
This was a bolt on ATS set up not sure about your fuel problem must be the lift pump not supplying enough I'd say.

Truck sounds great! I have the same turbo on my 6.2 I can tell I can get more boost out of it but I'm scared to turn up the fuel.

My 85 c10 was a 6.2 diesel , got converted to 350 sbc. But now it's going back to 6.2 again lol
