If you're talking about the Center Channel Extractor in Audition, then sometimes it doesn't do that well with SFX's. I think it's more aimed towards music and vocals. If there are both SFXs and dialogue at the same time and you want to get rid of one of them, you could try to use Premiere Pro's effect called DeNoise or DeNoiser (forget what it's called lol). Or you could try to use a Lowpass or Highpass filter to try and get rid of certain frequencies. Let's say you have a dialogue and then an explosion in the background, then the explosion would be a very low frequency, so you could try and use the highpass filter and try to remove everything under 200-300Hz.
There are many good headphones out there. I have personally looked into "Sony WH-1000XM4". My current headphones are like 4 years old so I need to replace them soon xD Any headphones that have a clear sound all the way from low frequencies to high, should be good for editing.

I don't get demonetized for the marvel clips. I get demonetized because of the music. If it weren't for the copyright protected music, I would be getting money from my videos
