Great video fair play to land the first Tope nice to see that it doesn’t always go to plan and you got your reward but it did look a bit hairy there at times good job tide and conditions were on your side very enjoyable watch thank you
Glad you enjoyed it John.. They can be quiet a pickle sometimes the tope but I have recently change the way I'm rigging up so shouldn't encounter that issue again. now i fishing a fixed rig rather than free running! Thanks for watching!
I usually do bud if I’m not making a video or anything I just get the Tbar out and do it at the side of the Kayak. it nice sometimes to get a picture quickly before the release. Thanks for checking out the video it’s much appreciated!
yeah that’s it mate oh I was so gone during this trip no gas in the tank at all but I had to head out I was itching for a session! Thanks for watching it’s much appreciated!
Very testing time out there Sam. Losing them and when you got “that one” jeez mate, dodgey times. The second one was the fit alpha tope ay. Saying “ ohh you little bugger” when there is a big lump of twisting muscle with a large mouth full of those knashers on board shows your experience. Don’t think I could tbh. Good video mate, so clear. Took a lot of work to gain the content. Saw your Facebook posts. Best of luck on your next video and trip.
Thanks matey. it was a bit of a slog fest without any sleep after work but managed to get a couple so well chuffed. I will be out hopefully tomorrow with a special guest appearance too perhaps!
That’s a good shout matey…. I had the same issue last year using down tide boom whilst targeting the Gilthead bream.. quite frustrating! I may add a smaller bead to prevent it going over the leader knot.
Well nice shark. I suppose you learned more about the rigging. I think you handled the release well. Not a fan of anchoring in a good current. Fish get twisted in anchor line
LOLz! _"Flipping heck!"_ Sits back after hand lining JAWS onto his kayak!!! 😲😬😱 Absolutely best Sunday breakfast video viewing, LOVE your vids Sam, you've easily joined my favourite UA-camrs! What the hell leader knot are you using to EASILY fight and land these stunning fish? I went on the River Fal, lures for bass, last week, my first real foray since moving to Cornwall. First cast with a brand new weighted soft plastic, I hooked bottom, but walked around the snag and managed to get the lure back, so swapped to a Patchinko copy. Merrily casting away when "Snonk!", my lure floated away minus my line, snapped at my appalling effort at an FG knot. I had always tied a double uni or albright when perch/pike fishing but after numerous UA-cam vids, decided to try the FG. Yeah, nah, looks pretty, but gutted at the loss of my ONLY patchinko. 😣 Great video as always, can't wait to watch this channel absolutely EXPLODE once word gets out. Production, content and personality, ALL bang on point! 👍Tight lines Brother.
Thanks buddy glad you’re enjoying the content! ahh the FG knot can be a tricky one to tie but it should last ages if done correctly. I use a reverse Albright also which is a good one to use. I may start using fixed rigs out there which should prevent that bead and clip coming back up the line. Treat yourself to a new patchinko asap and get back out there matey !
That was bloody Amazing! Well done!
Thanks for watching buddy!

Try using rubber beads and the little ledger booms , they don’t do that so much

On it like sonic, dude! 😁
good man !
How deep is out there?
it drops off from 80-90ft then goes into a big long trench stretching across our north coast depths from 125-140ft
