One of my favorite movies of all time. I miss the 80’s. Those were the best times of my Life.
I adore this movie and I watch it several times a year. The music, the dialogue. I was a teenager in the 80s and it's just such a fun nostalgic romp.
Yes indeed! Same here.
And Nicholas Cage was absolutely HOT Adorable!!!!! Loved him ever since.
just watched it two weeks ago, for the umpteenth time. Party at 23727 Sierra Vista....social event of the summer! 😁
For those that don't know:
Martha Coolidge was the Director of "Valley Girl"
She was 36 and Nicolas Cage was 18 when they made the movie.
Wonderful movie! I grew up in the 70s loving the '80s music as well and Nick Cage is one of my favorite actors. He says he was 17 in the movie! I am 69 now and I watched that movie every chance I get. One of the greatest soundtracks ever
Glad I came across this. Valley Girl is a favorite film and I've not seen or heard Nic talk about it much. I've always wanted to know his thoughts about it.
I absolutely love this movie! The 80s were the best…at everything!
A great little 80s film. Nic’s performance as a young actor is on point, it’s no surprise he become one of the greatest actors of our time.
I absolutely Adore this movie. I never get tired of watching it. The actors/characters, the soundtrack, everything was perfect. You could tell that Nic had something special inside of him. You could see it in his eyes that he was born to do this. Thank God this movie was made!! Love it!!
Oh my god! The nostalgia gets me like all the time! I miss the 80s like so much it hurts you know?
Valley Girl was a fantastic movie, one of the few teen movies that accurately reflect not just teens but their parents. Brilliantly done.
This movie just felt good!
It's one of my favorite movies of all time, I re-watch it often.
I still watch Valley Girl. Brings back good memories of being a teenager in OC.

Carefree days at the beach: boogie boarding, rollar skating, soaking up the sun, listening to cassette tapes, checking out the surfers. Grabbing a burger, fries and a shake at the burger stand. 🍔🍟🍕🍕🍕🌮🧃
Missing the 80's, friends and high school. Life was a lot less complicated back then.
What a movie. The 80’s was the best times for movies and music by far. Loved the actors in this movie. Like every teenager was in love with Julie…I have the Plimsouls & Modern English on my Spotify play lists, what a great band. Thank you for making this movie Martha.
"Hurt but not defeated." No true words spoken in regards to losing love.
i hear that, i checked out your channel, nice!! thanks for watching!!! if you ever want to talk deleted material send me a message :)
@@ghostsofVTurbexSkysthelimitvid Thank you my friend! Nicolas Cage has always been one of my favorite actors. Strangely I've never seen "Valley Girl".
@@ghostsofVTurbexSkysthelimitvid Definitely man! I'm a big supporter of behind the scenes material! That's why the death of physical media is killing me. We don't get this stuff anymore. I'm down for a discussion on deleted material.
@@rmjmoviereviews6876 excellent, maybe we can do something, i have hundreds of videos on behind the scenes stuff as you probably have seen, been looking for new creator type video ideas. this sounds good, take care. just drop me a line when you feel like it :)
@rmjmoviereviews6876 you need to see it! I was fortunate enough to watch it when it was released and I was a teen.❤ favourite film. The story, the music, th e sets
How this movie wasn't nominated for an Oscar is mind boggling!
Nicholas Cage is such an honest personality such an honorable man.
Nick would be my hall pass! I'm nuts about him
@@marthastephens2179 I agree. He would be mine too!!
This is my all time most favorite movie ever!!!! I love Nick Cage.
I adore this flick, and the fact that they only had a budget of $250.K- The copyrights of all those kick ass songs cost more than the actual movie, $350.K. Highly recommend watching for those who haven’t watched it yet.
Thanks for sharing this gem!
A classic film. Organic representation of the time. Romantic, sincere and funny.
Big Star Now..love Nic Cage
I remember seeing this movie twice at the theater. It had gotten good reviews, Siskel and Ebert included, so the theater was packed both times, the entire audience roared and clapped at the moment Nick says “fuck you, for sure, like totally”. Great movie and introduced me to The Plimsouls, as well.
I love this so much!
My fave, love this movie, my three girls grew up watching it because of me, lol they love it. They are now 35, 29, and 25, we still talk bout it.
Favorite movie of all time!
As a 70s girl this movie was great❤
i totally love love love this movie so much.
The Wowee Whistle! Loved those things. Every Halloween!
Who else thinks of this movie everytime they hear "Melt With You"? ❤🎶
Nicolas looks so gorgeous here. Great movie.
I would have loved to see their performing also in this interview
voice texted, I meant to say I wish Debra Foreman was in this interview also, Julie
Loved this. My best friend is dating an actor and she never trust him. She says because he’s an actor how do I know if he’s just acting. I mean just like anyone you meet, people just don’t act on stage or screen.
True magic…❤
Cool jacket nic!
I STILL LOVE JULIE RICHMOND!!!
My favorite teen romp movie

Good movie. Nicolas Cage is an interesting actor but his acting ability is not that great.
I disagree.
He’s right Joan Crawford got picked on left and right for being an actress even in mommy dearest the movie she lost a boyfriend because he thought she was acting. true.
