Saw Quinn 2 or 3 years ago in Portland, OR when he was about 14 or 15. Shared the stage with Buddy Guy and put on an amazing concert. Among the audience there were many jaws dropping throughout the evening over Quinn's performance. He's already played along side all of the current guitar greats in blues and his performances take people to a different space. Very humble and personable. Now if he can just stay away from self-destructive behaviors his potential is unlimited.
Can you just imagine what a powerhouse he'll be in 10 years after he has gained some life experience to add soul to his technical ability?! This kid is amazing! Really enjoying watching him grow up and come into his own. What an amazing talent!
excellent, going to put him on my follows, one can only imagine when his material finds it's audience..and what that impact can be....then very special is fixin' to happen in music.
The thing I find most incredible is his ability to play slow and with such melodic feeling. Most of the time young musicians(myself included) want to just play all these fast licks, man he's a talent.
Ok true ill give u that. I can defiantly play this kind of stuff but slowing it down instead of super fast hammer on show off bs and letting the melody shine thru is just great musical understanding.
Been following this kid for a few years..amazing as hell. He has always played amazing since I first saw him, but it has taken him aging just a little to get the voice sounding good as well. Truly amazing..An old soul for sure!
man he has a mixed up play of all the greatest blues. he has a peace of each player in him. Very lucky I'm glad to see he keep playing. been watching him since I've seen him at 8 with buddy guy.
Amazing to watch this great artist. I listen to this song just about every day. This guy is going to be GREAT in our lifetimes. He's already amazing, I must have listened to this song 100 times in the last week.
I just saw him and Buddy Guy 8/22/17 VA Beach,VA holy cow rocked this old woman, 69 and i still have it, left with no voice, and dragging, whew rocked this old hen, saw the real version in 1969
Not talent just lots of work. Anyone can learn to play. It is true that some can pick it up quicker than others but nobody is just born innately great at any instrument. All takes a lot of practice and dedication to the craft.
J Qwan Nah, some people are innately born good. That's what you mean by "pick it up quicker." They're born with an inclination that lets them play well.
Michael Taylor no guitar player can, it’s much more common to find 10 guitarist who can’t read music than one who can, especially this day and age with tablature and the internet
"Little Wing" was one of Jimi's favorites. It is really impossible to duplicate Jimi Hendrix. The music came from his soul and reflected the chaos there. No two performances were ever alike. The same song might be performed in 4 minutes in the first set and receive a 13 minute treatment in the second. There appeared to be no set lists; just what Jimi wanted to play in the moment. It is good to see Quinn Sullivan pay tribute to Jim's genius. Let us hope and pray that he avoids the self destructive fate that took Jimi Hendrix from us far too soon.
met him at a meet and greet at a blues festival in new hampshire bought his cd and he signed my tele.....hes good because hes been playing since he was three feet high...search him
If Fender hasn't signed this kid with a sponsorship, they should act fast - before he's the next SRV, Buddy Guy, or BB King. He's well on his way. This is first I've heard him sing and, sure enough, he's great at that too. I kinda hate him out of jealousy. i've been playing for three decades.
I don't think this young man will ever have to buy a guitar again. What an amazing talent! There is an old soul in that body and its wonderful to watch.
For everyone saying this is nothing like Hendrix, you're right. This is Eric Clapton's version with his own twist. And that's how music evolves. Taking ideas from one person and adding your own. Jimi was original for adding his own amazing ideas to what was already created, and because of that, look at what we have. A teenager playing rock and blues solos and touring with Buddy Guy.
IMO young fella.......do your thing...let us get to know you and your own sound.....then hit us w the greats.... you have the talent,, do you first.....we know Stevie,, and we love how you feel them... but give us You......That's what the blues is all about bro..IMO
HA HA als ik een band haatte waren dat de The Sex Pistols wel, die konden echt niet spelen. Deze jongen. kan juist wel spelen. Deze uitvoering is de Derek and the Dominos versie. Mooi gedaan, deze jongen komt er wel
amazing brewer😁
Guitar is crying !
So beautiful 🥀
I'm japanese . Thank you !
I've been watching this kid grow up for awhile now only getting better. Thank you Buddy Guy.
As a fellow Quinn Sullivan, you make me proud
This is one of my favorite renditions of this song... something about this specific performance hits it. Please never delete this video.
the boy is aging like a fine wine,he is way beyond talented,he's blessed

What a fluid solo. Absolutely wonderful....
One of the best versions I've ever heard!

This young man is great! Just saw him yesterday at North Atlantic Blues Festival.

Been following this kid for a few years..amazing as hell. He has always played amazing since I first saw him, but it has taken him aging just a little to get the voice sounding good as well. Truly amazing..An old soul for sure!
amazing, seeing him Aug 13 in his home town. New Bedford mass
Notice how rarely he has to look down at his guitar? It all comes very naturally to him. A true talent and he will be immense as he gets older.

Just awsome. Period.
When Quinn the Eskimo gets here, everybody's gonna jump for joy!
His guitar talent goes without saying. But, I have to comment on how his voice has developed over the years. Thanks for another great video, Natasha!
Natur Talent!

Quality, what a great talented young man.
Quinn is the real thing. I'd love to see him on stage with City and Colour
Awesome job!
wow wee... divinity at its growing best.
some guys have all the talent.
Not talent just lots of work. Anyone can learn to play. It is true that some can pick it up quicker than others but nobody is just born innately great at any instrument. All takes a lot of practice and dedication to the craft.

Well, you're not gonna get anywhere with that attidtude, my dude.
Batman There's no scientific proof to back that up.
He can’t read music, plays by the ear. Truly amazing and gifted young man. A future star for sure!
Michael Taylor no guitar player can, it’s much more common to find 10 guitarist who can’t read music than one who can, especially this day and age with tablature and the internet

He really does a great job at combing aspects of Stevie's, Claptons and jimis playing
No he doesn't...he flows like a statue! Lol
vwertigo for crying out load he is a kid, let's see you vid bro
Really? I thought he played masterfully, and I hope he keeps it up.
Yes true but you are talking about the master, which in my opinion, nobody can match.
paddie3535 nobody is saying he is a master but for his age he could be someone to watch.
superbe guitariste je suis très fan de toi depuis longtemps
Thanks for sharing this. So awesome!
SIMPLY GREAT!!!
One of my all fave songs....this kid is amazing....hopefully he doesn't fall into bad shit and continues making amazing music....
Wow glad he kept on playing and became this good....Just saw the ellen show where he played when he was just six....
i was kinda hoping it was the SRV version, but this was excellent, which of course the original was excellent
This kid can really make that guitar talk!!
met him at a meet and greet at a blues festival in new hampshire bought his cd and he signed my tele.....hes good because hes been playing since he was three feet high...search him
To be that good at such a young age🎈👏🏼👏🏼💐....may he keep well away from snargels👊🏼🙏🏼

Don't compare yourself to anyone else. We are all on our own path
you give me chills Quinn no lie man!
I don't think this young man will ever have to buy a guitar again. What an amazing talent! There is an old soul in that body and its wonderful to watch.

Good fuckin shit I like to see the youngins play like pros. They will carry on the music
Born Bluesman.....;)
I have seen him live with Buddy Guy . He is fantastic ! His cd is very good too. Pretty funny Quinn has on a Sex Pistols shirt.
Hopefully there are still some real musicians....
I have to laugh at some of the fakers on here that say he isn't great when all the real masters that hear him say he is fantastic.
i feel what he:s dealing with as a person here. excellent mechanic
Is this the new Clapton
IMO young fella.......do your thing...let us get to know you and your own sound.....then hit us w the greats.... you have the talent,, do you first.....we know Stevie,, and we love how you feel them... but give us You......That's what the blues is all about bro..IMO
He is great young player ..notice he never has to to look at the neck even on the solo ..great talent ,,
I saw him look at the neck .
Next big Blues person.. does Quinn tour yet?
Mac Attach going to see him with Jonny Lang in Charleston SC in April
iambuckethead1, wow hope you have a GREAT time seeing him. He is going to bring blues music back fare as I am concerned..
Oh one more thing just wished he played a Gibson. I think they sound better in blues music.. just my opinion.
This kid is the next Stevie Ray Vaughn.
No, he is Quinn Sullivan, the young guy doing it in his own way.
Cheers
He is Eric Clapton, SRV & Buddy Guy all wrapped up into one!
he really brings out what j.hendrix put in.
those 16 people trying to like the video with the phone upside down
Small Bonamassa????
not sure who the 10 that disliked this....deaf?
He's been studying EC
he can play but he needs to come up with some great originals like srv to really hit it big
So what? All he can do that I can't is play incredibly well...and sing. :D Joe B should have him up for a few songs.
badass picker
eric clapton version.....great covet...
So the 6 critics must hate kids
Dang, he can sing as well. Jealous guy here
HA HA als ik een band haatte waren dat de The Sex Pistols wel, die konden echt niet spelen. Deze jongen. kan juist wel spelen. Deze uitvoering is de Derek and the Dominos versie. Mooi gedaan, deze jongen komt er wel
Damn, I think I will put my fender back in its case and back in the closet..... Good luck Quinn! Stay grounded
the bass player is faking it.
left handed and plays right handed
WELL DONE KID. MODEL IT AFTER STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN NEXT TIME
It's good and all but I can do that... Pentatonics aren't that hard. Still awesome tho.
J Qwan I just heard of this kid in an article calling him a prodigy. He's obviously talented but come on. Prodigy? Not much

J Qwan jealousy doesn’t look good on anybody bud
