Yeah - although fa less successfully (like nada) i was exactly like him in many ways and i can spot all of the self-deception and bullshit excuses. It took a nervous breakdown and three nearly 100% blocked arteries to finally knock me off the rails. I hope he survives whatever wall he ends up hitting.

I’ve been to treatment 2 times and been in and out of recovery... Bert is honestly describing all of the symptoms of addiction and why he just doesn’t know why he keeps on doing this cycle of binge drinking and eating and compensative exercise

My first time catching this podcast and I'm stunned at how serious and caring these three insanely hilarious comics can be.with each other. I watched this after watching Christina KILL on her Netflix special. She had me laughing so hard I nearly crapped myself. Although I'm a 64 year old burned out party beast...I can still hold my mud while I'm laughing my ass off!Kudos Christina!

The more I listen to Bert, the more I like him. It's also refreshing to hear him talking honestly about the ups and downs of his life and career, rather than joking about or being slagged by his friends. He's an alcoholic, I'm not sure if he has accepted it yet, but I know it's playing on his mind. I think he justifies his drinking by the fact that he's not a problem for anybody else, he mentioned he's not aggressive or disruptive when he's drunk. But the reality is, he's a problem for himself. He's slowly ruining his health. Alcohol seems to be a major contributor to his anxiety, and probably his depression (I'm guessing on that one, I don't know much about his depression).
So Bert, if you ever read this, know that it's coming from a guy with an alcoholic parent. Quit drinking, do it for yourself. Your kids will benefit so much in the long run, and you'll feel so much better. I love you brother!

Getting to watch Bart Griezler listen to all the fan made content about him was pure nirvana.
I Love Bert! He has the enthusiasm of child to me and I have never failed to laugh more than usual on any podcasts I have listened to. I gotta say, not my business about his sobriety. That's for he, his family, and close friends to assess, most importantly, Bert. I do think that if you really cared about his health and wellness, hammering him mercilessly has to affect even the most well balanced and strong people, let alone someone considering the affect his alcohol consumption is having on his life. It's awesome to see the encouragement and that other people are joining in #SoberOctober. Again Bert, you, Rogan, Stanhope, Segura have made me feel part of the group and gotten me through some very very low times in my life.
