Hi! Havent seen anyone else use this on ark either but om glad you are the first to do so! My question is, does it perform, feel and look even better than NVIDIA FG? Sad that WC decided to screw us over and not even mention when Nvidia fg could be back, so if you dont remember how it felt using it that's ok haha. Just curious^^ Oh also what are you running? Im currently using an rtx 4080 with an i5 12600k at 1440p epic settings. Game says i get about 90 fps but its more like fluctuating between 25 and 55. With NVIDIA FG i never dipped below 60 and the quality looked better than tbis amd garbage haha
@Mr.Tomato_God you will probably get the most benefit. The better your pc the better it will work for you Nvidia Frame gen didn't provide as it should imo. The smoothness this provides is night and day If you can get a stable 60 fps you can atleaat get a stable 120 fps, your system is better than mine by alot. I can't recommend this enough to you, just playing on the 2x frame generation should be a new experience for you. It's truly night and day difference it also works on top of the Nvidia frame gen so really you can get the benefits of both. Also there really is no worry steam offers a 2 hr playtime no questions asked refund. So if you don't like how it feels or it's not as good as you would think, easy refund!
@@Swonkasaur Wow, thanks a lot man ill definitely check it out as soon as I can and ill write back and share my opinion about it. Thanks for sharing this video ^^!
Alright so I just tried it. I could be doing something wrong but I got it to work, impressive! From my experience it does perform good but not as good as NVIDIA FG. Idk i think I'm just really picky lol
@@Mr.Tomato_God everyone has a preference I'm pretty sure nvidia Frame gen works much different for the 40 series than it does for the 30 series, I get basically 0 benefit from it. Also might be able to use both, Since they made frame gen hard coded in ark I don't see why not use both of them. The 5.5 Update for ARK should also provide a decent amount of performance gains too
I havent tried it but thank you for the video. I hope it works. I personally use 4070S Desktop and when I turn on the DLSS it causes a lot of problems. It crashes the game from time to time. Yeah I can play without any FPS boosts but its a good video for lower rigs.
@stephe417 forsure! I do hope it works out well for you, also lossless scaling has a few other upscalers so you don't need to use the dreaded DLSS anymore. Lossless provides their own implementation and like 10 others so I'm sure thing will work out for you. Keep me posted.
Im I the only one who experiences ghosting or whatever it is actually called that makes it look like a car's windshield under heavy rainfall (this is as best as I could describe it) when using lossless scaling in ASA (been a while since I tried it with other games so I can't surely remember if it does that in those too, but I feel like it might have)?
@djawedcherifi1429 so lossless does provide a distortion when it's generating too many frames, are you using an upscaler in Lossless or are you just using the frame generation? There is a new update that is coming out in a couple of days. It will add a new frame generation. I'm going to do a breakdown of all the features and give people tips and tricks on how to use it.
Hi! Will this work on RTX 3050? I have very low fps in ASA. Although in the first part everything is pretty good. Will I be able to achieve 90-110 fps at least with medium graphics settings? PC Specs: RTX 3050 & I5 12400F & 16 gb ram.
Nah I don't think rtx 3050 is quite low tier card even if you do get 120 fps who will notice game full of artifact and it's not quite powerful to even generate frames between. If your base fps in medium is 30 than you can atleast play at 60fps with less artifact. You want 120fps but you don't need 120fps.
Great vid! Thank you!! Just set ASA all on Ultra, fixed 30 fps, and upscale 2x. Would that do it? Or rather get conssistent 60 fps (lower quality) and upscale 2x to go 120? My monitor is about 60hz anyways...
@alanpaschoal7299 if your monitor is 60 hz you won't get a benefit from being above 60 besides it just being a consistent 60, I'd say play on the highest quality you would like, while maintaining the highest fps. If you can go to 90hz or higher on your monitor, you would then try to push your in-game fps higher before boost.
Yeah sadly this does not work for me.. makes the game even worse, Has a large amount of input lag and the frames jump around like crazy from 30 to 80 and i get a lot of stutters . 6650xt Ryzen 7 5700x 32gigs ram
@GoblinGaming. there is an update coming out tomorrow, it might provide better performance for you, I'll make a video providing a further break down and all the tips ive found to improve performance, I'll note what card you are using.
@Kuba0584 ahh that's good to know, have your tried the multiple different modes? Also, I was told that if you use the scaling as well, can get great performance on top of good quality. Might be worth a shot. I'll be making a future video further breaking down each setting as well as showing how to record the output.
Make sure you have it in Admin Mode, As well as I would Turn On and Off The Hide cursor Option might fix it for you. Also make sure ark is running in windowed full screen mode.
@XxICraigIxX maybe you are upset at it not meet expectations I do have a decent PC, but if others don't there are options that can be turned on to increase fps without using frame generation. So in combo with the 2x it turns out pretty good. Personally would recommend windowed mode1280x720 and using the ls1 scaling option. This with the 2x might fix any input delay you have. If not there are a few others options that can help.

Interesting, mine seems to actually get worse on a 3080 at 4k. Are you supposed to have DLSS in game on or off in conjuction with this, or does in not matter? I tried both. It seems like it just causes some weird distortions around the edge like you mentioned AND lowers the FPS by ~20. This is frame generation, not upscaling right? So I shouldn't be running this on a lower res than native? Very confused as to why it seemingly works so well for you and not for me.
If you are using Arks in game FPS it will show that it's lowering your FPS mine typically does the same, In Lossless scaling it has an option to Draw the FPS it's generating it will show in the top left your old fps and what it's being boosted to, I'd try all the modes 2x,3x,4x. Let me know any updates i'll help the best.
@logansmith2516 I agree fsr is not good makes shit way to blurry, it feels better than the video can portray it I recorded this with OBS which can take alot of resources to record at 120 fps. So yeah it's way smoother actually playing than in this video here. There is a 2hr playtime refund period for any thing on steam if it doesn't work well for you, can get your money back no questions. It really is night and day though.
@uu-zm3xh yup, it will actually work on most games on your pc, should even work on older games just might need to change the capture api. But for games pass version it's the same as this video
@ramaraothotramudi1887 you shouldn't use cracked software for something you can afford or if it's created by one user. That being said I don't see why not, 50% chance of being a virus though.
@ramaraothotramudi1887 id read through some of the comments on here for tips. It needs to be in Admin mode[settings in lossless, restart]. Ark needs to be in windowed Full-screen or Windowed mode. Make sure frame generation is on in Lossless Scaling [choose 2x,3x,or 4x] Then turn on the draw fps option in Lossless Scaling then when both are open with you playing in ark press your scaling keybind, screen should flicker for a sec and the top left corner it should show your old fps/your new fps.

@ReignHao yeah the ini settings you need to enter every time you fully close the game. @oncommvr674 so I'm not too familiar with that cards performance, I asked chat gpt and it said that you can use it but the benefit you can within might not be the best. Tbh id say it's worth a shot, personally I'd try it on my current settings first and then just use the frame generation try it with x2 mode and then x 3 and then x4 see if any of them are playable for you. If that doesn't work out try one of the scaling options this will ask you to lower your window size but it will upscale it for you, this alone can gain alot performance but also can cause some quality issues. So all in all you can use it and benefit from, I'd recommend you try it to see how much you actually gain, as long as you are under the 2 hr playtime period you can get a nonquestions refund.

@Ambatukam69317 id make sure your resolution is still 1920x1080 I think when you change it for the first time it goes back to a 1600 resolution. You can also enter this command in your command to make sure you are at the highest render scale r.screenpercentage 100
@@Swonkasaur im on 1440p, when im in fullscreen it looks like how its supposed to but when i switch to fullscreenwindowed the game becomes extremely blurry for some reason its unbearable
@Ambatukam69317 try just windowed mode does it do the same thing for you?
Just curious^^
Oh also what are you running?
It doesn't work on 3050
i like it but i have a lot of delay on it maybe when i upgrade cards it will get a bit better
@Kuba0584 ahh that's good to know, have your tried the multiple different modes? Also, I was told that if you use the scaling as well, can get great performance on top of good quality. Might be worth a shot. I'll be making a future video further breaking down each setting as well as showing how to record the output.
my cursor dissapears pls help
Make sure you have it in Admin Mode, As well as I would Turn On and Off The Hide cursor Option might fix it for you. Also make sure ark is running in windowed full screen mode.
You Saved my Day
This is honestly the Best way! To implement input delay and artifacting! Brilliant, some say the best.
@XxICraigIxX way to out yourself for having a shit additude and pc. If it works for most, why not let them eat their cake?
@XxICraigIxX maybe you are upset at it not meet expectations I do have a decent PC, but if others don't there are options that can be turned on to increase fps without using frame generation. So in combo with the 2x it turns out pretty good. Personally would recommend windowed mode1280x720 and using the ls1 scaling option. This with the 2x might fix any input delay you have. If not there are a few others options that can help.

@@Swonkasaur You're so right! This is honestly the best thing I've seen, if you push it to 480p it would really improve those frames!
@@XxICraigIxX I'm glad you get the picture I'm very happy to help you. Wish you the best :D
Ive heard that when you use dlss on ark, it either creates a lot of ghosting or in you case, lower fps
is there a way to fix the distortion or make it less noticeable
@ishammy7673 Yeah, you need to get a better fps in game, try the 2x or 3x mode they give less distortion. Under api capture can try wgc
its only for Nvidia gpu's right? or does it work with amd also
@feelty nah actually it works on most GPUs. Nvidia, AMD, and even Intel integrated graphics
fsr frame gen feels terrible does lossless feel smooth and does the fps actually match how it feels?
@logansmith2516 I agree fsr is not good makes shit way to blurry, it feels better than the video can portray it I recorded this with OBS which can take alot of resources to record at 120 fps. So yeah it's way smoother actually playing than in this video here. There is a 2hr playtime refund period for any thing on steam if it doesn't work well for you, can get your money back no questions. It really is night and day though.
I play ark asa on pc game pass, does it also works for that version?
@uu-zm3xh yup, it will actually work on most games on your pc, should even work on older games just might need to change the capture api. But for games pass version it's the same as this video
Is crack version of lossless scaling will get the performance ? Have u tried
@ramaraothotramudi1887 you shouldn't use cracked software for something you can afford or if it's created by one user. That being said I don't see why not, 50% chance of being a virus though.
I am not getting the performance while using steam version
@ramaraothotramudi1887 id read through some of the comments on here for tips.
It needs to be in Admin mode[settings in lossless, restart].
Ark needs to be in windowed Full-screen or Windowed mode.
Make sure frame generation is on in Lossless Scaling [choose 2x,3x,or 4x]
Then turn on the draw fps option in Lossless Scaling then when both are open with you playing in ark press your scaling keybind, screen should flicker for a sec and the top left corner it should show your old fps/your new fps.
Ok I will try once again
Can you share your Ingame settings?
@jordankasten2497 yeah sure I got you when I get back give me less than an hour, in this video I was playing with everything set to epic, I just clicked the epic drop down and turned off motion blur and bloom. But I can give exact settings later and share my ini

Here is my Ini What I deem as Fair PVP but The Most Performance, It also disables Lumen Lighting as I personally don't like it
My graphics settings are everything on epic my textures are on low, my global illumination is set to medium, My foliage interaction is turned on but everything is set to , and foliage quality set to low. My crosshair is turned off and Hud size is reduced a bit. I use crosshair X for my crosshair. I wish you the best.
@@Swonkasaur do you have to put these in everytime?
@ReignHao yeah the ini settings you need to enter every time you fully close the game. It's got nothing to do with lossless scaling but should net you a decent amount of fps but at the cost of a decent amount of quality, lossless would recommend trying the app before the ini and if it's not good then do atleast r.volumetricclouds 0 and r.volumetricfog 0 and that still isn't smooth enough try the rest of the command, but yeah must be entered in the console once until you close the game
@@Swonkasaur Thanks, but do you also have that mouse delay when using loss less scaling?
will it work on a gtx 1650?
@@Swonkasaur thank you so much man i can play on high settings with this on and i average 80 fps
@@oncommvr674 Awesome to hear! I'll keep it in mind for other people!
