Warhammer's Hobby Hero | Peachy in Conversation with Jordan Sorcery
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 вер 2024
- Chris Peach, AKA Peachy, is one of the most recognisable faces in Warhammer - a seasoned army painter, Warhammer TV presenter, and all round lovely bloke!
We talk about Peachy’s career at Games Workshop - getting started in retail and building a community; how the business culture changed over time; becoming the first army painter at the studio and transitioning to the Warhammer TV team; and all of that before breaking out on his own and becoming a UA-cam sensation!

Just brilliant, could listen to Mr Peach all day.
You and me both!
Agreed. Mr Peach is a true gentleman in the hobby.
Thanks for taking this suggestion on board. I notice after 18hrs this is the most watched video on the channel
A lot of the guests on the podcast have been from the 80s and 90 so it’s nice to hear Peachy’s perspective on the next era in the timeline. He gives a really good sense of how GW ticks - both what makes it special and what holds it back, which is usually just “real business/management” stuff which seems to be a symptom of the company growing so much in that time.
Agreed. It can be understandably difficult for more recent GW folks to share their perspectives, especially if they still work in the industry, but I hope we can build a broader picture over time
Great to see Peachy on the channel, he always seems so lovely
Peachtastic! Thanks for another great interview. Squeak-squeak! 🤩🐀🌠
@1:30 Prince August. Had the fantasy molds in the late '80s, made a whole ton of orcs that way. Still remember the molten lead, the talcum powder in the molds. They made good figures. Still have some.
And the company is still around, you can still get the molds 😀
I got through painting 3 warriors of chaos while listening to this delightful pod. Thanks for making this!
Great chat, Peachy was as entertaining and insightful as ever. Your interview style really allows the guest to open up about their experiences
Two enthusiastic people having a chat and enjoying themselves, what more could you ask for? Fantastic video Jordan thankyou.
Fantastic interview Jordan. Very professional. Thanks to you and Peachy
Great chat - I really appreciate Peachy’s down to earth way of explaining games & hobby. Also very happy to hear his interest in Oathmark. A great game that can be played narratively or as a pick up and play. The alternate unit activation provides for a lot the tactical nuance/random that you get in Bolt action or Stargrave.
The wholesome content we deserve !
There was a missed opportunity to ask Chris how he was... :)
I love listening to these pod casts while I hobby. Peachy is always a great guest, but your leash is long and I am here for it.
Two of my Hobby hero's in one video... sublime. Thanks gentlemen, fantastic..
Love these chats. Just people regaling their experience. We all have hobby stories and origins and it’s great to know my own path crosses similar themes😊
Always fun to heat these sort of things from Peachy, Jordan does a great job as an interviewer too! great stuff!
This was a lovely chat between to great guys!
Great interview, many thanks
Yeah, love this guy! Peachy is great
A chat with the two nicest folk in the hobby? Yes please.
will be around the Derby store next week! What surprised me the last time I was there was how small it was; I suppose in my head I had created it as a magical titan sized cathedral in which the well known faces of the community spawned from! hahah
I have never been interested in Oathmark before. That is a great hook.
Peachy has escaped imprisonment by Juggz, wonder if He regrets leaving the bosom?.
@Peachy, I think one written/produced/editted video per week is a ton of work and output. Any thoughts about content that's easier/lower stress to produce? You could stream once a week for an hour, paint and chat. Seems up your alley - like the old Hobby Hangouts with Wade ;)
Great vid happy days.
Peachy and some narrative campaigns with Ponsar Treadeu would be awesome - maybe he'll meet Sharpe! and corporal Peach :D
Mind Blown 🎉
Hey ! I had the metal Sauron with the eye on top of the chair! 😅
PeachLove and Jordilove together!!!!!
Come here for the Peach, lovely Fella. You could of let me talk for another few hours! Many thanks.
PEACHY! PEACHY! PEACHY! Get in!!!!!!!!!!
Yesssssss!!! My two favourites meet!!! Will they kiss??????
My favorite German smelter boy ❤
Peachy AND Jordan? Click.
let's goooooooo!
Peachy learns a fact and forgets a fact 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 unless it’s about sharpe! Then it’s imprinted on his soul 👍💯😂
Am I the only one being a bit miffed because at no point The Painting Phase was mentioned? Or did I miss it (in that case ignore the comment). I only know about Peach because of his appearances on TPP. Never was a watcher on the G'Wullu videos even with Duncan and him around. I feel TPP was a small but important step in getting from G'Wullu to his own YT show. (Again if he did mention it and I missed it, ignore my comment)
Peachy doesn’t really talk about why he left TPP, I think it’s a bit raw currently
@@entropy2100 I didn't say he should have gone to length on what/where/when but at least a "the was a Painting Phase but that has passed" or something. At least that is my opinion.
Yeah I agree. He was there for nearly year. I understand it didn't work out the way he wanted, as it sounded like it was about getting equal ownership of the channel, there will have been two sides to that. But surely joining a channel, with esrablished branding and income streams, with a trained videographer for that length of time is relevant to launching his channel 😂 I spent like a year figuring out how to market my podcast properly, it's a massive advantage.
Peachy, do you still have your original Dwarves?
